    Pleasures for today (Tuesday).

    1) Not a bad sleep though woke up at 6am after a bad dream (thank you, Mary, Queen of Scots film!) to find smaller son had had a bad dream about the same and had been awake since 5am!

    2) Spent the morning trying to dismantle a greenhouse with my brother in law until we both at the same point said "Let's just leave it for today, shall we?" Our plan is to get bigger son and his tools on to it tomorrow ;-)

    3) Went into town and had a burger at Waitrose.

    4) Saw my school friend for a cup of tea.

    5) Bigger son is at his father's and smaller son has been very jolly this evening.

    6) Plenty of Fish continues apace. Seeing slightly pushy man (Wood burner man) on Friday afternoon (think that will be a one off!) Seeing man 100 metres down the road from me (Village Man) on Friday evening - have just spoken to him on the phone for 2 hours! Seeing my favourite man (Favourite Man) on Sunday and really looking forward to that.

    Tuesday pleasures,

Another sunny, warm day, we are being spoilt at the moment and more normal weather will come as a bit of a shock.

Birthday celebrations so cards & pressies to open, good pile of books from Capt S inc the next two in Dr R Galloway series I am reading plus some of my favourite L’Occitane body lotion, lovely.

Out for lunch to fav foodie pub, salmon with samphire followed by tarte tatin, might have had a glass of wine too :D

After the above spent most of the afternoon lolling around on the sofa, reading and watching some MM.

Stirred my stumps enough to walk small dog, impressive sunset and a starry night, lovely day all round.
  • Purple crocuses on the grass verges beside the school, daffs and primroses out in the arboretum and blossom of various colours on loads of trees, even a magnolia just starting to pop it's buds open.

Getting washing dry in the garden again.

Not needing the lights on indoors until after 6 yesterday evening.

Lovely walk in the sunshine yesterday afternoon and carrying on to the allotment where everything is starting to put our new leaves.

Meeting a lovely rescue retriever in the arboretum on the walk she was a little cautious to begin with but was soon leaning on us for a scratch of her back as though she'd known us forever.
  • V was out last night for a mixed gorilla and a wobbleade. Was ok, but tasty. Proper food!

4 BoP and BoPsie celebration weak this weak. Only a day to go to … yes theres be chocolates!

3 Another packed lunch box again today with toms and boiled egg, proper digestives, orange, and orange in raspberry jelly and another delight of the Turk! Good for you.

2 Nite BoP is in the gym keeping beach ready!

No need to have one today.

    Well, there it was

Super long weekend oop norf with son and his family for their little one's christening. A stunning day with the sunbeams through beautiful stained glass windows lighting up the font. Dgd didn't wake up throughout the service, a little arm wave when the water touched her but not a peep from her. She looked stunning in her father's christening robe and little lace and pearl headband (which was not her fathers!)

Home to a lovely welcome from the cat, he'd been thoroughly spoiled by the cat sitter and demanded the same from me. Very vocal to let me know he was a poor, starving hungry creature although he'd been fed morning and evening and given treats in between. Cat sitter always sends me photo's so he doesn't fool me!

Everything beautifully in bud or bloom in the garden. Just hope we don't get a repeat of a couple of years ago when sudden hard frosts killed off many of the plants and shrubs, but meanwhile I'll enjoy what it's like today.

A silly thing but one which made me happy, my new neighbours, only been there a year, have remembered to put the bins out! I've struggled for ages but told them I can't manage any more and they've done it today. I'm sure they put bricks in their bins, compared to my one small bag!

Laundry done, house clean, tea set out ready for a dear friend who always brings Patisserie Calorie goodies when she comes to tea. Then out with more friends for the evening for more goodies.

Enjoy your 33-year celebrations BoP and Bopsie :)
Hope the poorlies feel better soon :)
  • Took a bit of an easy day
1 Popped to Mr T and did pick up some RTC’s but I think we may call it a day for a while with Mr T and run stock down.
2 I made some cupcakes then used the heat of the oven to warm a slice of pizza for lunch, tea will be meatballs.
3 Dh kindly put my car on charge, I spent time cleaning up its windows.
4 Tried using window lene as we inherited a lot of cleaning bits but its awful smudges everywhere. It’s gone and I swapped back to distilled vinegar.
5 Sat in the garden, with a tea and finishing reading a book, and at a cake.

    Pleasures for today (Wednesday).

    1) Hens well. Got them some more layers pellets today.

    2) Managed to get smaller son to school for the afternoon.

    3) No one appeared at the museum (supposed to be volunteering this afternoon) so looked round the shops.

    4) Got the rest of the greenhouse from my brother in law.

    5) Made tagliatelle and seafood for tea.

    6) Smaller son and I went to the pub for some games of pool.

    Good Morning Peeps,

    Tuesday

    1. New year 7 group. Started a project on chocolate. No problems on capturing their interest. :rotfl:

    2. New Year 4 group. Started a topic on masks. Love this group and love their TA. Hoping for fun times :D

    3. Had a bit of a meltdown about safety in DT room. Is this the only way to be heard? Finally listened to.:o

    4. Gammon and egg for tea. Dog stole DS2's from the kitchen island, so he had to have KFC after Cadets. Dog in disgrace.

    5. Managed to stay asleep most of the night.

    Wednesday

    1. Anxious about a meeting, but it was postponed. :j

    2. Admin day. Got lots of little jobs done. Feel a bit lighter.

    3. Stopped at Lidl on the way home. Hit it just right for green sticker reductions. No one else interested.

    4. Phone call to bank. Got cross and shouted. :( Then sorted problem with DS2 child benefit.........not proud of the shouting, but two things done.

    5. Early night, but woke up early.........postponed meeting is today.

Hoping I don't start shouting in the meeting :rotfl:

    Have a lovely day :)

Wishing you a day of calm house elf sometimes you just feel your voice get louder as you think no one can actually hear you!

Had started typing last night then was on a long call to friend so here's my Wednesday pleasures:

Hurrah! For it being light just after 6.30am. Was caught out in my pjs with the dog first thing! My house is right at the main drive so often see people I know when I go out...don't usually go out in my pyjamas but did yesterday! Oh well...at least they were nice ones!

Later dog walk and called hello to chap who's garden faces on to mine from across main drive. It's a friend's dad. He waited for me coming back down and said 'I don't want to sound nosy but....' , 'would you like a look round?' Yes he did! He'd watched all the comings and goings from his slightly elevated pitch and was interested to see what it was like at ground level!

Used my new gate for the first time! It's good to have a secure rear access again. Last one was held on by not very much!

Hoovered, washed floors, cleaned downstairs Windows as the Window cleaner had been the day before...can now see out both sides!

Sat in garden and had leftover sausage rolls and beans for lunch.

Nice walk later to get DD2 coming off the bus. It was a beautiful day again but turning cooler at this point.

Made pasta with chicken and cream and veggies . It will be leftovers for lunch.

    Nice chat with friend.

    Wednesday pleasures,

Quiet day after all the gadding about but good chance to catch up on a few chores.

Two lots of washing dried outside, current weather is really spoiling us.

Bird activity stepped up in garden, mouths are either stuffed with nesting materials or munching down on the food put out.

Worked my girlie on the lunge, she was very good if a little sleepy in the sun.

Watched a QI and then read all evening.
