Bedtime.
Beautiful sunrise.
Beautiful dog walks.
Washing almost dry outside.
Went to Glasgow with DD2 she passed her driving theory test. Hurrah! I watched Call the Midwife whilst waiting.
May have bought a few 'non essentials' in TK Max...like a lovely tin for dog food and a very pretty wreath for Easter. City wasn't too busy and bus was just waiting when we got to station. Shops all too blooming warm though.
Haggis walked very nicely with his lady friend . Side by side. Head by head.
Read for a bit when I got in them watered lawn whilst watching sun set.0 -
What amazing weather today.
1 A few house bits achieved, a washing load, replaced cracked shower hose, and all rugs drying.
2 We went out for bits and pieces, picked up a pillow, a replacement diary as mine has vamooshed, some seeds and soil feed.
3 Popped across to C0stco, booked in eye tests, picked up various odds and sods and an impulse book purchase that will be part of DB’s birthday presents.
4 Animals helping us unpack
5 Dinner was C0stco pizza, it was delicious.0 -
Pleasures for today (Monday).
1) Not a terrible sleep.
2) Hens well.
3) Bigger son worked at the garage.
4) I went to carer's choir then on to Waitrose for a cup of tea. People were sunbathing outside!
5) Went into town with sons so bigger son could look for new trainers. Did a huge shop at Sainsburys - very welcome as we had run out of everything.
6) Bigger son is (still) at games night with my brother and brother in law.
7) Took smaller son to the cinema (Art deco one) to watch the Mary Queen of Scots film which was excellent. He had a bit of a freakout as he had a seat by the aisle and someone might brush past him. So there was some manouevering to get him to the other end of the row. Just when autism gets hard going, it switches again and I had 10 minutes on the journey home where he talked about "the old shells that sound came out of". These were described at great length and turns out he means gramophones! :-)0 -
Good Morning,
Frith Glad you enjoyed Mary Queen of Scots. I found it hard going, but beautiful......I just wanted to bang their heads together and say 'Play nicely and be friends!'. :rotfl:
Recents.....
1. Canal Open Day. Lovely stroll along the canal. They are replacing lock gates, so we got to walk along the floor of the canal where it has been drained. Stopped for a cake and coffee. Beautiful sunshine.
2. BBQ ribs on offer in Lidl. Had them with fixings for Sunday dinner.
3. Call the Midwife and a fire in the wood burner and another square of my throw quilted.
4. Got through first day back. (Not smoothly, but I survived :rotfl:).
5. Fighting with my family preview with my friend. Saw ex student and his mum. We reminisced. I miss those days. He is doing ok.
6. DH had got fish and chips for tea and saved some for me
7. First Man on Blue Ray.
Enjoy the weather today.....storms are forecast0 -
Monday pleasures,
A hard frost to start gave way to a warm day.
Left holiday cottagebut stopped at Holkham beach on the way home, tide was out so long walk to waters edge but nice to be beside the sea.
An easy drive home listening to R4extra.
Quick unpack and then went to see equine girlie, she called to me from the gate so might have missed her Mum but more likely the apples I always bring :rotfl:
Nice to sleep in own bed especially as had changed the sheets before we left.0 -
1. Taking the dog and the child to the park in this glorious sunshine.
2. Avoiding town as much as possible.
3. Thinking of carrying on my knitting to make a large sensory blanket instead of just a muff....we're all autistic here, we'll be fighting over it.
4. Brack in the oven, home made soup in the fridge, home made bread on the side...love it
5. Planning the garden for the summer, can't wait to see it finished.
6. Got the tv to myself last night to watch my guilty pleasure: Riverdale0 -

Hello.
It's been the most beautiful day . Warm! Butterflies and big bumble bees!
Garden chaps were here bright and early. Slightly caught in the hop. They were making me a new garden gate. I paid for parts and they swapped labour for the remainder of the slabs that were left! Fine by me!
Sorted airing cupboard. Dropped 2 bin liners of stuff off at charity bin. A pair of curtains gong to Dn and several crochet blankets going to a care home.
Went to T. Had a £6 off £40 spend and had found £4 of saving stamps in a drawer. Dog food and washing powder stocked up for month ahead. Got some RTC daffodils.
Home and sat and ate lunch in the garden.
Then Haggis and I moved across to the garden sofa. I read . He snoozed. Was most lovely.
Brought 2 loads of washing in . Then watered lawn.
Met a friend out walking her dogs. Nice chat,
Having sausage rolls and beans for tea.
Almost finished library book.
A wee extra. OH's best friend popped in for a visit with his dog. Haggis is very vocal. Nice to see them both....even if I was in my jammies!0 -

LaineyT sounds like a lovely break.
I have an admission to make, 2 frying pans have recently met the end handles fell apart and bits of its non-stick all over the place, so I thought I’ll get another, we looked at very expensive and very cheap, and settled on a Tower one. Bearing in mind both DH and I shopped for this, only to come back and realise we have DF’s cookware, 2 Ikea frying pans, so now we have 3, actually 4 if you also count the tiny one, we also inherited. Ops.
1 Domesticated bit, hoovered the upstairs, changed our bedding, washing load on, wiped the bathroom floor, hoovered the stairs and downstairs, then mopped all the floors, the fun of having animals. Put the clean rugs down as the floors are clean again.
2 We had a lovely grilled brekkie, and a pork roast was cooking away while the house is open to air and dry.
3 Went to a fitness class this evening and glad I did
4 Home to another 2 loads of washing ours and animal.
5 Watching Shetland0
