Form guide looks good for MotM in April, juts when you ...

V Just what can I say about eating chicken with raspberry jam. You don’t I know, buts you eat pork with apple sauce, turkey with cranberry sauce, and not chicken with jam! As for me roast tates perfection! Please be advised that you should not roast your foods at home as this can cause smog! This is in the bullshine times on your web of fears! Raffles was ecstatic and was up pawing for a sniff!

4 Please feel for BoPsie, who is without her niteware of 50 years plus and has a cold. No amount of medicines and sympathy can help. She’s gone to work on an egg! On that, BoP was this morn in refrigerator to get pack up and none had bin prepared! So it is chunky strawbs, chunky cheese of apple smoke. Please again be advised that smoking at home is dangerous, see above! This weak we has orange jelly with oranges, proper digestives and a rocky! Other pack ups are not worth it. I see that the underpass bread shop is offering so called lunch packs. Minds you, I note neighbore has decided that she is going to ecobrick! That means for BoP I has to haves the plastic bottles in the thirst place, yet she has posted from the drive through thing at the burger emporium! Avoid!

3 Dastardly, has watched 2 Basil and Nigel Sherlock films in the last weak. They be some dastardly peoples out there! Theres be ons the film channel of 4!

2 Nows yous know that BoP has bins ons abouts the rip off utility greasers over time. Well good news, that SVR rate is now as high as the cap rate so suggested, so savings are limited. That ws not intended. Nows BoP has bin withs his big six for nearly as long as BoPsie has had her niteware! They hide offers in the web of intrigue at your stitched dot con place. Next year BoP is on curse for an increase of only £3 a month to around £69. Better mes pocket than their greasy palms. Ifs you want mes to look over, pm! As for the lights, I has tolds yous before, LEDs are the way! Mes electric bill down by £70 since July. Got it?

Having one today! Nows yous probably sit there thinking how come BoP is so good and cool? That is because he starts each day proper with a bowl of honey puffs! Rite filling that and is good for you! Other breakfasts are available but they do not compare! Apart from SatFests of …

    Art'noon, back home again...

DD - haven't been on Kondo thread for a while. I am mostly Kondoed - although one never entirely finishes...
Frith - boo for you, but yay for DS :T
Lainey - I have never heard the phrase "two pint screamer" before :rotfl:

    Pleasures since Friday

    1. Several circuits by the sea - mostly in lovely sunshine :T
    2. OH came to ICT for Friday night, and cooked steak. Yum
    3. Hedgelaying - very satisfying and the weather was mostly ok. We were an all female gang (I have never been in a gang before:p) with male diesel drivers. I had a fight with a tree - and, although I won, the tree fought back and I have a luverly scratch on my face..:o
    4. A buzzard in a field craning his neck to watch the train go by :rotfl:
    5. Lovely soak in the bath last night.
    6. lovely evening in my jammies watching the telly, when I wasn't asleep.. :D

    Have a great evening folks
I wanna be in the room where it happens

I seem to be doing one okay day one feeling worse day. Today was the feeling worse day! Bleurgh!
Much coughing which makes my head ache each time. All I've managed is a couple of little dog walks.

A charity collection from doorstep. Had 3 bags of stuff in under stair cupboard awaiting such a thing! Gone.

Watching the rain on my new patio...there was a lot of it to watch!

    Anyway tomorrow is another day!

Mhags we're like ships that pass in the night

Son and his partners wedding plans for May are forging ahead, as is the organisation for their baby's christening on Sunday. So looking forward to being there and having big cuddles with the little girl. Thermals packed ready for my trip oop Norf

Loving the beautiful weather we've had here lately and have taken the opportunity to hang washing on the line to blow dry. There's no smell better than air-dried laundry.

Snowdrops, daffodils, primroses, muscari and crocuses all looking lovely, I have a tiny vase on the window sill with some in amid sprigs of thyme and rosemary.

9 year-old Lottie had her service, just needed the number plate bulbs replacing, then an MoT which she passed for the sixth year running. I have huge respect for the 'breed', on my third now over many years and don't think I'd want to try anything else.

Lunch with friends to remember a very special person who passed away last year. Not at all a gloomy occasion as he was always telling funny/silly jokes – sometimes the same ones over again – but we still had to laugh. To misquote the late Frank Carson it was the way he told them :D.

Now to do the ironing while watching what Martin has to tell us this week, then an early night night ready for the trek.

    Have a good week :)
  • Have a wonderful journey Sparrer.

I’ve had two weeks of feeling and sounding horrible, as it heads to a third week, I think, tentatively that it may be going now.:j
1 I’ve ordered what I am hoping will be a wonderful laptop, I used a voucher from the computer company and ordered it via a cashback site.:)
2 While I was at it, I got into gear, provided the latest meter readings to EDF and then used uswitch to move over to Octopus for 12 months fixed. A pleasure to not to be sitting back letting EDF be extortionate and having done something about it and will hopefully get a voucher when it’s all done. Nice to feel in control.:)
3 I meal planned but forgot to take the relevant bits out of the freezer – ops, ah well I improvised cawli cheese and a chicken breast and remembered to take some bits out of the freezer this time.:o
4 Ordered what I am hoping is an amazing purple velvet beaded skirt off the bay for £5, I saw it in the shop last year but couldn’t justify the per una price, hope it’s ok as we have had one or 2 questionable had to get our money back purchases from the bay over the past few months.:)
5 Sitting with a camomile watching an amazon prime film.

Back with assorted pleasures after a stressful few days away
    1 no falls
2 lovely hotel room with balcony and walk in shower
3 good food which I hadn't had to shop for ,cook or clear up after!
4 supportive friends who helped and supported DH
5weather was fantastic practically wall to wall sunshine
6 good meet up with Bil and SIL ,though they were shocked and saddened by DH ( they didn't say anything to him and treated him as they have ways done

It was v hard work ,at home he has his hospital bed and his riser/recliner chair .i had to haul him in and out of bed 3/4 times a night ,inane out of chairs and he needed his stick and me when we were out .
It has really brought home to me just how much he has deteriorated in the last 6 months .

He is desperate to go on an already booked 5 day break to Northumberland in 5 weeks time ,I am stalling ,would be with the same crowd and I know they will help but....

Oh dear I feel so sorry for him it isn't fair but there again nor is life .

I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties during your break, SSue.

    Pleasures for today (Monday).

    1) We shall not mention MrStove again after today. I shall note merely that more came to light and he decided to use a detail about smaller son against me (don't ask) so I felt justified in writing really rather a pointed and very long message. We shan't be hearing from him again... Rather a strange individual.

    2) Hens well.

    3) Took bigger son to a rather cold Tipton to do the maths and English tests for his possible apprenticeship. He is enjoying Go Ape so much he is now pondering whether to take up some sort of climbing/outward bound teaching?

    4) Bigger son went climbing with my brother in law (he's not back yet). He is going to do some climbing for sponsorship for his VSO trip but doesn't know whether to climb half a km or the height of the Eiffel tower. The climbing wall is 12 metres and he reckons he could complete that a few hundred times over a day.

    5) Smaller son went to watch the football and have tea in town with his friend.

    6) No sons so I had an Indian takeaway in my car, looking at the sunset over the Clee Hills.

    7) In bed and will listen to the radio just now.

    a lucky escape frith
    1) boss made me a very nice coffee. we had a good catch-up. something i suggested in december is going to happen. we shall see how it plays out
    2) cheese sarnies for lunch - all the better for the bread being reduced to 11p and the tomatoes being 'free' as got them to bring bill up to £40 to get £8 off shop
    3) mrpiano picked me up 6pm. then he went to the gym and i did 90 minutes house work - rather therapeutic.
    4) he came home and cooked supper, i washed up, we walked the dogs. very domesticated!
    5) my 90 minutes included making chicken stew for my lunches with stew pack ys 11p. house smells lish

    Suffolksue hugs.

    1. Washing dried on line. Not sure it would as it rained at work.

    2. Work went ok. I was ignored most of the day which suited me fine as they spent day complaining about other people who I like the best!!

    3. Enjoying flowers i have.

    4. Easy tea.

    5. Watched the football while ironing.

    Monday pleasures,

Spotted my first glimpse of hedgerow blossom.

Busy, but productive day, chores ticked off list.

Used up the last of festive mincemeat and made flapjack with it in.

Little dog had a spring haircut from our friend, she brings her van here, plugs it in and off she goes. This is very exciting and small dog charges around the house afterwards.

Made a large batch of roasted veg to go with our tea so enough for feta wraps today.
