    Frith :(

    Thursday pleasures,

More sunny weather, really lifts the spirits.

Popped in to horsey town to drop those clothes off at CS and had a chat with the nice lady behind the counter.

Fun in the sun with my equine girly, at one point she fell asleep whilst I was giving her a brush, aww,

A beautiful sunset and it gets later every day :j

Opened a bottle of something cold & fizzy and cuddled up with Capt S.

Oi Oi - now then, where was I? Not posted in a week? shocking lapse.

    Pleasures for the last whatevers..

    1. the sun has shone, the sky has been blue, there's some warmth in the sun and the nights (and mornings) are lighter. Next time I have to catch the 7.15 I can walk to it in daylight.. :T
    2. some good food has been had - wagamamas, breakfast out, and …. other stuff that I can't remember
    3. OH has cut down a huuuuge supposedly dwarf (it was about 12' high and nearly that wide :rotfl:) conifer in our garden that has opened it right up. However, now I can see the corner it was hiding, we need to do something with it.
    4. I've seen my boy quite a lot
    5. DD and I went to London - I had a 1 hr seminar, but then we went to see Waitress. it were fab..
    6. I have encountered several famous (ish) people this week - Gail from Corrie, ex footballer Jamie Carragher and Harry Judd from McFly and Strictly
    7. Went to the flicks last night (I am in ICT, I went alone... some valentine's) to see Colette, it was good.
    8. My brother came to stay for the night - little effort on my part to be able to check up on him. He seems ok, though he still drinks too much.
    9. A not so OS / MSE pleasure, I have a new laptop. It's luuurvely - one of the 'yoga' type ones (although a different make) that becomes a tablet. Paid for with the marking - although I need to do a bit more marking....:rotfl::p
    10. Hmm, a tenth.... hmmm ooh I know, I had a fabulous sleep last night. 8 hours straight, without even a pee break - feel very chirpy today..

Have a lovely day all - I am hedgelaying again this weekend. Last one of the season as the sap is rising...:p

ETA - an 11th - I have signed up to volunteer for Oxfam at Isle of Wight Festival, plus Reading and one called Beautiful Days. I am only likely to do two of these - If I get Glastonbury resale tickets then I'll give up IoW, if I don't then i'll give up Reading. Doing two gets me priority for Glastonbury next year...
I wanna be in the room where it happens
  • 1 Sneaky for yeterday evening, I popped to Mr T, and picked up some salad and a cawliflower for 25p each, the very pushy rtc people were there so I didn't hold out hope to partake, but I couldn't help but smile when the reduced meat was literally right in front of me to their dismay, I picked up mince for the ferrets, chops, sausages and chicken for us all at 90p each . I got back portioned up the mince for the ferrets, marinated the chops and froze the heck sausages.
2 Tried to get a doctors apt, I need to do something about this bug as it enters the 3rd week, the asthmas now not coping but nothing is available, pleasure to try and ignore it ish.
3 Minted chop with rice and veg for dinner, all was rtc from yestertday.
4 If I move or not I feel rather naff so onwards, all rugs through the washing machine, got on and cleaned the bathroom and blind, whoever invented blinds didn't have to clean them! Hoovered the upstairs and got clean bedding on for us. I am feeling peeved that I am the only one that does the cleaning when I'm home.
5 The crocuses are up and flowering and some of the daffs are out, its been beautiful and bright here today.
6 My plans for this evening are reading a good book I am determined to finish as I have a que of books now, and a very hot (I will steam this bug) out bath.

A day of not much as back to feeling bleurgh...think yesterday's energy was a blip!

Text from garden chap full of apology at not coming due to bereavement ...sorry and all that but it meant I could stay in bed.

Chats on phone sister, niece, friend (just a quick call 1 hour 45 minutes later)

    Beautiful day.

    Pleasures for today (Friday)

    1) Good to get up after less than an hour's sleep (and that was full of appalling dreams!)

    2) Went with bigger son to buy his trousers for Go Ape starting tomorrow.

    3) Went to see my friend near Ikea and had a general moan to her.

    4) Chips from the van for tea.

    5) Got a bit done round the house.

    6) Went to bed 9ish to watch tv on the laptop and have been dozing since then.

Don't know re MrS. No messages this evening really and no mention of the weekend. I hate uncertainty.
  • My five for Friday were;

    1) Up early and did my Rosemary Connelly exercises - not been doing them so regularly as my knee has been bothering me but was fine today.

    2) Tidied my sewing room - I found several things stuffed down the side of the wardrobe that I'd forgotten about so these have been added to my "to do" list. First thing will be Velcro straps to be added to a small backpack to keep the bottles from falling out.

    3) I was really tired after lunch and was thinking about having a nap but it was so beautiful outside that I forced myself to go for a walk. When I got home I was re-energised and no longer tired. Must remember this next time I'm thinking of going for an afternoon nap.

    4) I had delicious fish pie at mums for dinner. For all my cooking I rarely cook fish so really enjoyed this. Fish fingers and cod steaks are the limit of my fish cookery.

    5) Nice evening knitting and watching Dirty John on Netflix. I like the actor that plays John but I'm going off him fast.

I'm lying in bed with a cuppa just now and going to read my book for a bit xx

    Enjoyed my day.

    1. Took bottles to bottle bank. I enjoy throwing them in and smashing them. Also put clothes in the clothes bank but doesn't give the same feeling as smashing glass.

    2. I cleared more stuff from the house and downstairs is almost at the stage it was before DS1 moved back. Upstairs is another story.

    3. A friend came for lunch. She gave me some lovely flowers as nd we had a great chat and was very relaxed.

    4. Watching the birds at the bird table.

    5. Washing dried outside.

    6. Enjoyed watching the rugby on tv.

    Friday pleasures,

Encouraged by segment seen on Countryfile I picked up a bunch of scented narcissi from emporium earlier in the week, they are now open and the house smells of spring.

Gave small dog a good brush, she is due to be clipped on Monday but my floors stand testament to how much she is shedding.

Sorted another shedding animal, horse girlie, and clipped her hairy face, no lady should have a beard!

Pleased to see the young people of this country protesting for what they believe in, it’s their world too and long after the get rich quick so hang the environment businessmen are dead they will have to deal with the consequences.

Friday is bed changing day so fresh sheets to snuggle down in to.

    Hello. It's still light! Hurrah!

    Another day of lurg-dom.

Went to T first thing. Didn't spend unnecessarily.

Garden chaps arrived. We have a 'lawn' turf is down.

    Sun came out.

    Went a walk with DD2.

Hoovered and washed floors. Will be glad when the builder yard look is gone from front driveway/ garden and I'm not trailing in mud/dust/dirt.

Just had RTC pizza for tea.

Catching up on soaps that early to beds have missed.
