  • Didn't post yesterday as I had my first online Tesco delivery since selling my car and was putting things away till after 10. No substitutes which was great and had a late delivery as it only cost £1.50 - cheaper than petrol would have cost.

    My pleasures today were;

    1) Up and ready early to catch the 9.50 bus into town.

    2) Collected my train tickets for next week's journey to visit son, then bought fabric to finish a quilt I'm making.

    3) Coffee and chat with a friend while in town.

    4) Went for a walk with my "Tuesday walking friend". It was a horrible wet afternoon although quite mild. Still had a great blether and put the world to right.

    5) Tea and Tunnocks teacake at mums. Mum's happy I'm having tea cakes again. She doesn't like change of any kind ;)

Chilling and watching tv tonight. I watched a brilliant film on Netflix last night called "Edie" starring Sheila Hancock as a crankie widow who has a dream. Great film xx

Hello. A day of not much after a night of coughing, spluttering, sore ribs and aching joints and a shoulder that popped out further than it usually does. ( I often wake with my shoulder slightly out of position)

Went back to bed once garden chaps had electricity. Walked Haggis as far as the post box and back. Felt exhausted.

Went to T for a few bits and pieces. A friend has asked me to bake for them so needed ingredients. Exhausted!

Back to bed for a couple of hours.

Up for dinner of sausage rolls and beans and now back in bed having just done a little dog walk.

Garden progressing. They hope to have it finished by end of week.

    I had a tunnocks teacake yesterday :D
    1) lunch was left over sausage rolls from yesterday smothered in baked beans and with some broccoli added. it was surprisingly nice
    2) our new Director of QA started yesterday. met her at a meeting (i was on the interview panel and very impressed). we're going for a coffee some time
    3) mrpiano has an audition. i can say no more at the moment and i will miss him loads if he likes them and they like him (i've told him it's as much about him choosing them) but it's very very exciting
    4) dd2 called in at my office. someone had brought loads of tablet so ahem we might have had a square or two
    5) and now i'm sitting eating supper. call the midwife was very thought-provoking. someone had shared the way we think about sex is wrong on FB. Good share for LGBT history month.

    Oooh Frith good for you!

    Tuesday pleasures,

Scrambled eggs on toasted muffin for breakfast.

Whisper it quietly but I am starting to feel a bit like mole and want to get my spring cleaning done, much window opening and feather duster flicking.

My spring planted pots are starting to flower.

Found a replacement for a spoilt but much loved jumper on bay of E :j

    New series of Shetland.
  • V As yous knows that BoP does check the rip off utilities for yous, and recently he has boasted note about them. That is the have ripped everyone offs with their rip off tariffs. Well when the convener in charge imposes a so called cap, it is not a cap, but a charge that everyone of them can get away with, it was looking likely that BoP for the first time in years would revert to the SVR. Well no, as BoP did not jump like some, he bated and then the your stitched dot con site came up with a nice gem from my CO2 emitters, and we is fixed again! That is what is like waiting and biding your time. Good old SP. Only £20 more than a fly by night cowboy outfit this year.

Again the Prices. Gas 12,500 kWh gas for heating, 3,500 kWh for electric. Nos as yous lot knows, BoP changed his lamps last year for one wick candles and has now fitted his pad out with LED lamps. Electric down from 3,500 kWh to 2,950 kWH. That has provided the wobbleade kitty with £70 so far, and paid for the 2 for 1 LED lamps!

Note that most on the your stitched dot con site, the best rates at the moment are SVR, though as with my CO2 emitters, in company discounts are there! Mine is SP, and SuperSaver April B2 is showing. Ifs yous with SP it is worth getting your cheque book out!

4 Rites that is enough sparks! No, was inn with the Millwright last day! We showed them as well what for! Hopefully, with the sheep now in the low field looking quite wooly, it looks good! More later!

3 cannot believe BoPsie. Well yesterdays BoPsie said it was only five weaks until Wharf of Fishermen. Now she wants to go to Los Angeles! I’m broke. Please send wobbleade chits to help BoP out, juts like that lass did from Grimsby who ‘s friends though she was inn a pickle, but someone had hacked her buckface account. This is not a con!

2 Day BoP is lunching on toms and cucumber, with mature cheddar cheese. Boiled egg, go to work on an egg, rocky and two digestive biscuits. Orange and oranges in raspberry jelly with trifle sponge! Good proper foods.

Had one last night. Manure! You has to laugh!

Day umpty-thump of feeling bleurgh...really just day 3.5! Over it!

Just climbed into bed. Have been in and out all day. Rest, get up, get exhausted, go back to bed, get bored, get up...repeat!

Made tablet first thing for friend by request. This was exhausting and then landscaper chap came and told me he had his very own lurgy and wouldnt be working today...great! That meant I could go back to bed and not be disturbed by door knocks and can you just check this and I've decided to do that!

As I'm a nice mother ( often...but not always) I siphoned some tablet off for my boy!

As he's a careful driver his car insurance ( which I'd paid for) paid me £30 . Thank you.

Titchy little dog walks. These are such an effort. But dry.

Made pasta for tea with the last ( I think) half pack of 10p bacon and lots of veggies.

Niece is ill, nephew is ill, great nephew is ill, niece in law feeling better. Son back at work ( where our germs originate) and colleague saying it's the worst cold he's had since the 90's. So far only DD2 the only healthy person and she's been putting deep heat on her sore hips which reeks and every time I blow my nose I smell it!

Brief chat with DD1 first thing...not much voice. Yesterday laughing as neighbour/friend and I tried to talk she'd even less voice than me!

Right. Onwards! Tablet was delivered by the healthy person.

There was a blue-tit on the garden fence today. Nearly done birds then I will get a bird feeder and a bird bath of some sort ( haggis proof) My little 25p pots if tete a tetes are all in full golden bloom. Who needs red roses when you've got daffodils?
