5 OS pleasures in your day today - part 3

5 Well at the mill, the pond at the top has burst its banks and we are awash with work. Even though only last FryDay we damped the fires in the boiler room, our work has bought rewards. PM2DD That means the pension date is moving forward again and again and again! As such, yet again I will have to work all hours and the more. I don’t know even if I will have time to rite the ditties as well.
Yet again, as the cycle seems to do so every so often, another foundry has requested the services of BoP! Not on yous nellies! I nose where it is hot! As for the new railway set running north. Forget it!
4 And that nice offering on buck of face promising millions and freebies is rounding again. This time it appears to be a £45 voucher for a supermarket. Please avoid, no one is giving you that much money for nothing. I have four on my buck of farce already telling me how they have had their inside leg measurements taken, together with the robot lurking to grab your purse! AVOID.
Usual BoP rule. If it is beyond belief, it is.
On other scams, I note the public funded, that is tax to me and you, roll out of the sham dumb meters has run into problems again! Take up has been abysmal. Avoid. It does not provide you with the best rate either. Use rule of BoP. Note there are no decent rates out there at the moment that beats BoP’s fix last October. AVOID.
3 Yous getta a betta BoP when you mop! Now as you know BoP can cook and here is the recipe for Chicken Roulette! Serves loads!
Diced chicken Breasts (two).
Onion, chopped
Peppers Mixed and chopped
Spinach
Diced carrot, other lose fridgies bits. The more colourful the better!
Heat pan with proper butter, not emulsions
Throw in some garlic
Toss in the rest, stir until cooked.
Add some chili flakes. Toss off with some soy sauce.
Serve hot!
Roulette, as you don’t know if it is going to be hot!
If yous wandering what Fridgies are. There the bits you bought three weaks ago and did not need!
2 Raffles is enjoying his time with us now we are able to give him proper food and not the same old carp he wants to eat! Mind you the silver birch, 10P tree a few years back holds the bluetits well and it is out of reach from him as he cannot climb it!
Talking of out of reach and the fakebuck scams, some very nice bint was wanting fiendship with BoP this morning, so I trotted off to the mill with adequate haste, only to find her offers of fame, fortune and luxury had gone! Boo hoo! I guess the nice man from Nigeria’s money has also gone with it as well!
Care not for me
Forgive in time, we are cleansed until we weep
Stand in line, sincere not so deep
I did not give a toss
Now you’ve made it to your cross
But me, I will carry on
I care not that you’re gone
The you I did not know
While others have tears to sow
But you cared not for me0 -
Thursday:
1) Decided not to cheat the budget, made pea, potato and mint soup. Mint from a lovely neighbour's garden. Love our little street
2) Sunny today, going to get some washing out tonight
3) Lunchtime walk by the Thames behind work.
4) Mortgage switches over this month. Made our last payment beginning with 9, next month it goes down by over £200. Begone, foul beast!
5) Lovely hubby. Just woke up this morning and thought "You're lovely!". Chatted to him at lunch when I was walking. He's doing a 100mile bike race on Sunday so offered to sort the garden on Saturday so I can enjoy it whilst he's away. Again, "you're lovely!"
6) Friends coming over tomorrow afternoon. Walk. Mushroom bourgignon. Chatting and laughing. Can't wait.0 -

Day went where?
Another 'Wo-Man plans, God laughs' one.
1. Day actually went largely to fenboys. &'s quick pre-Denmark check, post-Spits unloading, turned into biggish more - a 5hr fiddling, grinding, metal-cutting, welding job to re-secure &'s exhaust, which & didn't know was no longer attached. Heard tinky-tinks en rte to Spits: 2nd horror drive of this week. Thought it due to hideous 46-mile deviation.
No slip road access onto M11. Absolute truck 'n'traffic winding little roads hell, for hours. How grateful is &, over and again, to fenboys. Just call it £40, said dear J :-))) - with other top-ups and extras included.
2. Reached London somehow. Reached Spits, over 2hrs later than usual. Just keep going &, just keep going. Then, 'No Brick Lane carpark today'. Somehow did things. Somehow earnt a bit. Some lovely peeps, repeat buyers. Some late time-wasters at packing-up time. One nasty theft: Scandinavian glass paperweight made, not merely designed, by Eva Englund, fully signed, dated. Stunning clear glass, elliptical ovoid , with teardrop of charcoal cindered fabric suspension. Supreme skill. A..n.other clearly knew it for what is. Gone before noon. No camera sightings.
Somehow finished. Somehow loaded all again. Usual moments of 'eyes wide shut' 1-2a.m. while still driving back. No Spits now for 3wks-ish. Suppose this is cathartically recounted as a One of Those Days osp.
3. Returning tonight as sheet lightning bloomed frequently in sky. Drops fell, but dry laundry came in just ahead. Rugby AGM early tmrw, but travellers have set up all around pitch, says new em, with strict instructions NOT to interact in any way.
4. Enjoyed little rtc fillet steak,/tomato on griddle and garlicky green beans a short while ago. Dessert: latest fig, picked in dark. No lesson 'cos of eid.
5. Despite all, managed modest Spits banking in another town just before closure AND, with great luck, found Danish krone in stock chez MrT town of horse. None anywhere all week, unless on 5-day order. More brexit stupidity. Quoted rates have plummeted. V.lucky tonight with MrT special offer over a certain amount, which wasn't onerous.

Au lit, &.
(((mhags))) - conscious of your date while heading back last night.
Much to do. Will doubtless be on a boat 9 bells Mon, somehow)))

Good night to all.

Back from my hols. Been back a few days and been busy.
1. Holiday was good, relaxing and read a few books. Had some wine and nice food.
2. Spent time in the garden, moving plants to different places, weeding and generally tidying up. It's starting to look like I would like it to.
3. Cooked yesterday for the freezer so there are easy, quick meals to have to save DH buying takeaways when we have been out. I enjoy cooking when I have no time constraints and in the mood for it.
4. A friend is starting to feel better after having some problems which is good.
5. Managed to flutter more stuff. Listed some on ebay. It doesn't look much like it though when you look at the house!!
6. Chat with a neighbour and offered him stone rocks from the garden. Seemed to make him happy.
7. Washing dried on the line and ironing done.0 -
1. Had a lovely time in London with DD, watching Les Mis and walking around the Tower of London.
2. Met one of my BFFs and her daughter for lunch near Paddington yesterday; it was sooooooo good to catch up.
3. Enjoyed the sunshine
4. Daddykins drove us to/from our local station, saving petrol and parking fees
5. Payday!!! Much anticipated this month....0 -
5 Watched the rugby last night. Good win for Glawster. About time!
4 Caught up with the Engerland match. Poor, but then four goals is still four goals. Won't be losing my shirt on them!
3 Checked my fridge this morning, as it stores copious amounts of Wobbleade. It seems overnight that someone has removed them and left the empties on the side. You would think they would be decent and put them in the bin of recycle!
2 This morning fest of best back, star cut toms, mushrooms, poach egg on buttered toast. Fresh squeezed orange. Tum was rubbed.
Why do you want it?0 -
Friday pleasures,
A very foggy start soon burnt away to a sunny day.
The buzzard family were up and riding the thermals, five of them so have done well to raise so many babies.
Plans made for a pal meet up in October, roof top restaurant in town of gown, expensive so need to save pennies but haven't seen these old friends for 3 years  so worth the effort.
Yard visited and that will the new home of gorgeous mare, cannot wait for long hacks across fen countryside.
Mastermind and Only Connect, the little grey cells took a battering but at least exercised!0
