Well done on the weightloss Frith.

Hmm, when I said i'd introduced wheat with no ill-effects, I think i spoke too soon. Felt bloated and a bit 'otherwordly' yesterday later on (after eating some crumble and a little cake... :o). So it looks like I just can't have too much

    Pleasures for yesterday

    1. Unexpectedly lovely sunny day - we had breakfast in the garden
    2. Went for a circuit by the sea. Gorgeous
    3. Caught the planned train and had our salad from Sunday on it for lunch.
    4. Only went as far as shrewsbury cos that's where OH had parked the car. just got into Attingham Park before they stopped entry. Was much nicer than previously remembered and we managed to get tea and cake in the courtyard cafe at 5.10!! unheard of in previous national trusts we've been too...
    5. Home to DD (crossed with DS somewhere en route as he is now in ICT) and we had a takeaway curry for tea... yum..

Have a good day all - back to the grind, with a bit of gardening thrown in.
I wanna be in the room where it happens
  • Visit to swish hospital.

    Lovely specialist.

I’m not allergic to pollen or dust mites!

Bar of galaxy to celebrate. Not proper food BoP but...

    Feeling rebellious today.

    Another sunny day :)

    Very busy .

Decanted living room into dining room in prep for decorating tomorrow.

Washed Windows...didn't look streaky until the sun came round the back!

Much, much washing done. All throws and sofa covers.( what a struggle to get back on)

Nice dog walk with H & his old girl and her daddy instead of her mummy!
Then they were kindly dog sitting him.

Hospital appointment in a far, far away hospital. For DD2s hips. Specialist there said they wouldn't be able to help but could refer her on. Back up in over a month. Son drove. I was not a good passenger! Met my friend's partner who whilst does work there was just out for some fresh air. Nice to see him and proved the point that I always meet someone when I'm out!

Home and picked up my doggy who'd had a lovely afternoon but was so delighted to see his mummy!

    Leftovers from last nights tea.

Went to pick up wallpaper. Chose a different one and it was reduced.

Home. House is in a guddle with furniture everywhere! So took my dog out a walk!

Weed killer down on the millions of weeds.

Got my ticket to see Nigella :)

1-5 A lovely weekend away, beautiful weather, old friends and a lovely little rally and steam museum great camping place. Absolutely stunning weather.
6 Back to blocked drains over running from the sheer quantity of rain is a bit surreal.
7 Animals loved being away and love being back.
8 The car decided to have a !!!8220;funny turn!!!8221; so we limped into Costco, filled up with fuel, and collected tea while dh went over the car it seems the fuel line had let water in a very long job now lays ahead.
9 A pizza slice is now warming in the oven.
10 I!!!8217;ve just completed the company!!!8217;s books for another year found myself holding my breath working bits and pieces out a pleasure to be done for the year.

We had a little bit of an issue we were at a place where we are well known, a place where peacocks roam, people walked about with parrots and owls, so us walking ferrets isn!!!8217;t an issue, we are very careful to watch for dogs but do !!!8220;hope!!!8221; they are under control, but one lady on the campsite was exceedingly vocal that no one should be walking anything but a dog and her dog is of course the exception to the rule and took exception when I said that!!!8217;s not the case and it escalated from there such small minded bigots, thankfully it didn!!!8217;t fuss us.

    A busy day today:

    1) A lie in.

    2) Hen well.

    3) Had a busy couple of hours in town - had to get 6 months worth of bank statements so that meant going to three banks. Also went to the library, took the concrete floor of the porch to the tip etc.

    4) Got back to find sons had taken their bunkbed down in my absence, put it carefully in the box the new one came in - and put up the new bunk bed! Smaller son was lying in it on my return so he could give me a casual wave!

    5) Took the old bunkbed to my sister's and stored it in the garage. Her hens were well today and my niece cried when we left!

    6) Went to spend my White Stuff voucher and got some trousers.

    7) Had HM meals from the freezer for tea - broccoli cheese, veg chilli and chicken casserole. (We had one each, with broccoli cheeses).

    8) Just watched Holby.

    1. Two of us had a moan at work to line manager about a particular issue and she agreed with us and had mentioned it to boss a couple of times with no success. She has stopped being copied into emails now! She will bring it up again next week when boss returns. Still don't think anything will happen but at least we aren't expecting something unreasonable.

    2. Strange day at work. A colleague was ace to swap work locations for today which makes things better for her but worse for others.

    3. Nice comment from patient.

    4. A lift to my car which was really appreciated as it was raining heavily and I heard all about colleagues holiday to see her son.

    5. Quiet evening. Everyone out and do I managed to get on with lots of jobs.
  • Morning - rainy and gloomy here but at least it's not cold :)
1 Made a really fancy lunch for OH yesterday using left-overs and bits from the freezer, turns out he had meetings yesterday and again today where lunch was provided so I had half of it for breakfast and I've got the other half for lunch - it really is tasty, an effort-free couple of meals, and I feel like I'm being double-OS MSE, as I originally saved the ingredients that went into it, then put it in the fridge yesterday and saved it again :rotfl::rotfl:
2 I'm glad I haven't given myself a label as a vegetarian and am taking a more pragmatic approach, as it means I could eat the baguette with a bit of chopped chorizo in it (and save wasting it) without breaking any rules - just what works for me, I'm not choosing to cook meat for myself right now, but I'd rather use up what has already been made than see it wasted :)
3 Don't need to water plants as it's raining
4 All of the squashes and courgettes I planted have survived their first week without damage by slugs, snails or dogs. They've all grown well so the main danger has passed I hope
5 Lots of little apples appearing on my trees (Bramley Seedling and Worcester Permain) :)

Sorry about the War and Peace! :D
  • XL Again, bondship. An agreement like in the blacking factory! You see after some pounce at school suggested JR was a good thing, and enough to put you off reading for life, I learned! Yes, it is well 40 years since BoP told the educationalists what to do and got out! The concert was brilliant in December 78 at the college! An institution that BoP had attended the previous two years! That is how we got away with attending the concert! No id cards in them days! The raffle was drawn and Findus was my post. Luxury was the personal Donkey Jacket, with orange flashes. Today people get fleeces! And it is forty years since I have voluntarily had sliced green beans. Broad beans have also not been eaten, except for a curry once at another salt mine! Boy was that a lunch mistake!

4 Inn BoP’s packed lunch box this day is proper garden salad, with snorker roll, club, Bourneville, and an extra treat of delight of Turkish! Everything is good taste.

3 Change to dinner plan as I gets the buzzard for Roulette this week. Tonight is going to be the usual roulette! Tum shall be rubbed!

2 That’s dinner sorted then. Now on about raffles, he is off his food! Yesterday he pulled another bird! That will not teach him!
    Not having one today!

Your heart is not there to hold your tensions! Express your warmth for those around and for what you see!

At'noon - am transcribing interviews and am sick of the sound of my own voice...

    Pleasures for yesterday

    1. fast day - it was easy peasy. Porridge with water for breakfast, soup for lunch and a frittata with salad for tea. i am doing another one today  (because it was the only convenient way to fit two in this week) - also fairly easy so far.. Funny how some days are horrid and some easy - there doesn't seem to be a pattern to it.
    2. Had to go through a former and current colleague's disciplinary charges and help him to respond... Not nice and it was quite time consuming but he would do it for me. He got me my on-line Uni job so the pleasure, i guess, was being able to help him out. It looks like they are conspiring to get him out.. :(
    3. Did 3 loads of washing and all hung out on the line.
    4. Did some satisfactory gardening - lots of weeds removed
    5. watched the last episode of the Split. And there's to be another series :T

have a good rest of day all
I wanna be in the room where it happens
