Same old Sundae!
PM2DD Them bits get everywhere. Mes Vets discount has decided everything must be inn their app these days. That bee fine by me, but elderly vets don’t do things on fones and this in top of the nhs one is …
in busy on the last days of the river stream service. Mes and BoPsie watched Anchorman last evening. Wobbleades and cheeses were taken.
Did veterans breakfast yesterday. Venue is up for sale. Seems them in charge don’t like us noshing and enjoying ourselves. Still we set the records straight and rated the wrongs!
Not cooking today, Wes off outs. BoPsie will bee inn her glad rags.
Buzby sends a beat!
I work from home so my cat can be fed on demand!9 -
Maybe not but at least we’re not having to face the lottery of the playoffs 😉

First experience of mse's Not-a-Bot thing. Apparently & is human......who knew?😁
1. More getting to grips with new phone, working up on The Gallops as we speak. It let & call an older friend just now, which previous mob. wouldn't/couldn't/didn't.
2. Two baptisms this morning, when we'd expected only one. First was for baby Opal, then came another - for big chap who was godfather! The whole service was marvellous.👏🫶😍👍
3. Mixed rugby watching in The Alma, with Toulon just beaten, sadly. Loads more today, but have listened, not watched. All finals will be in Bilbao in a fortnight, but 🤞Toulon to beat Toulouse next week.
4. 5p found on emporium floor, happily rehomed in &'s bag. A whole shilling!
5. After osp 2, went to Nexus. Crochet teddy parts completed yesterday now need stuffing+assembly. Brand new JLP cushion infill just £1. Very pleased.

Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1)Not a bad sleep.
2) Went to M and S for a cup of tea and to read my magazine.
3) Planted more wildflower seeds (thank you, Ampersand) and tidied the garden generally.
4) Pulled up more carpet grabber strips.
5) Made a roast dinner then an apple strudel.

- friends - having not looked at emails all week hadn't realised I was on intercessions till 19 minutes before the service started eek. friend who often does intercessions said 'would you like my emergency set' and they were not only beautiful but they were based on St Richard's prayer which takes me to #2
- music - the anthem this morning was Joanne Forbes- L'Estrange's setting of St Richard's prayer (so made #1 not only a life-saver but highly appropriate!)
- colleagues - my deputy and I had been invited to another colleague's new house - she very kindly picked me up from Evensong
- food - we had a lish meal then watched a random playlist on Youtube which all started with his wife telling me the previous tenant had painted the wall black so I said perhaps they liked the Rolling Stones.
- coincidences - the last track before we had to go was another brick in the wall. We drove home listening to Absolute Rock and the last track before we got to mine was Hey you, also from The Wall.

Morning all, happy bank holiday Monday 😊
We’ve had a lovely, but busy weekend with family staying, 3 at the rental and 2 here with us.
We had a lovely day on Saturday with lots of food, wine and chat on the very sunny patio.
Yesterday they had a walk by the sea while we were at the tower and OH and nephew in law went to the top. We then had a walk in the bluebell woods. Back here for a late lunch and more chat. Then off home they went. Lovely to have them here but lovely to have the place back to ourselves 😊
An early night last night and a quiet day today, more clearing away and some washing to do. OH booked in at the tip and I might go to Lidl as I won my shopping money back on the scratch card last week!
Have a lovely Bank holiday Monday everyone 😊10 -
Pleasures for today (Monday)
1)Not a bad sleep.
2) Did very little during the morning.
3) Work this afternoon. Did manage to speak to 3 colleagues briefly.
4) Am in Tanworth in Arden now while my brother does an evening work survey. I've found a geocsche and Nick Drake's grave. Had a pot of tea in the pub but it shut at about 9 so now I'm sitting on the village green waiting for my brother to come back!
5) Not in chronological order now but spoke to my neighbours who are back from their holiday.

- Reached Reach Fair on foot from usual road closures, so over 4 miles walked yesterday. 👏
- Such a great Reach Fair day again. 💖 Felt the entertainers were several cuts above last year's. Renewed acquaintance with various friends and stallholders, especially the Ely Woodturners. Uni friend's son's unique hand-built caravans are fabulous and he sold several of his own design wooden bird houses too.
- Still, as back to 1275 at first Fair, Mayor and luminaries throw lucky pennies when it's declared open. One landed at &'s foot, so into bag. First time ever for &👏. Again the Morris Dancers, again the Maypole with nervous primary schoolers, again all very alternative and that is as it should be.
- Amazed self by buying only one 'No More Books' from the chapel.😀 Past years have seen & with a shopping trolley full, and once, returning for a carload!!! About halfway through Evie Woods' "The Mysterious Bakery on Rue de Paris" as we speak.
- Have uplifted from the Nexus 'Help yourself' crate to re-donate for another fundraiser in a fortnight. As always, explained to M. They never mind, are always delighted if things can usefully go elsewhere. Will drop everything off en route back.

Evening all 😊
I think it's been a week since I last posted, not quite sure where the week has gone.
Five recent pleasures:-
- Lots more in the garden including dealing with an awful lot of ivy on the fences. Ivy roots when I get round to them will be a challenge.
- I bought a beautiful new wood and steel border fork. I snapped the ancient one I’d inherited some time ago and it was beyond repair. Good replacement tools are worth the money.
- My local vintage trains were running all weekend and were hooting and steaming and chuffing along, a lot. Joyous.
- Have started the audiobook of Patrick Grant’s book ‘Less’. It got off to a slowish start but I’m now really enjoying it.
- A very good night’s sleep last night – best I’ve had in ages.
Sweet dreams,
Bx
