Hello!
Up early as was dog…too early for your breakfast boy!
Chat with DD2 and then friend first thing!
A nice and easy start to my day. Took my time getting ready. Got a small load of washing hung outside.
Then went to meet DD2 for lunch, went cheap and cheerful.
Chat to sister, who called as we were just heading out to post some mail andThen we popped into see a friend and had a good chat and lots of little doggy cuddles.
Walked home and then may have a little snoozette trying to catch up on Pottery Throwdown! Kept dozing!
Don’t need tea as still full from lunch.
Has been dry and bright but oooh blooming chilly wind!5 -
for yesterday
- up early and dropped 6 bags of soft plastic off at tesco (only place in Dundee that takes soft plastic - when we had a car it was easier lol
- candlemas - lead of the choir is a very talented potter - she had made us all nightlight candle holders
- lunch with mum at our fave in-town pub - i had bangers and mash which was just the right comfort food for such bleak weather
- evensong - beautiful anthem When to the temple mary went - Eccard (which did of course mean i missed the footie with DrM and MrG but can't do everything)
- catch-up with DSis - she had sent me 12 chocolate roses yum
And for today
- managed to get a battery-operated alarm clock - no longer an easy acquisition
- good piano lesson (despite bringing the wrong music d'oh but fortunately he has it all on an ipad) and i have a new Mendlessohn
- then dropped my music off, picked up my case and off to the bus. Which was late so I was a bit fretful about getting the airport bus. However DrM was on the bus so that made up for it
- Made the bus with 5 minutes to spare. And met by DD and her fiance
- Nice meal and now watching "Switched again" - a very cheesy film but some of it's filmed where they're getting married. So we are all of course glued. And there's lots of other locations around Edinburgh. oo now they're in the Dome.

A seriously frugal month planned what happens is anyone’s guess. I’ve re jigged the meal plan to use up some bits from the fridge which will now be a pasta bake tonight, and meal planned for the next few days..
The animal bedding has been cleaned, which must be a pleasure as they were clambering in as I did it!
I’m doing a bit of research for a meeting.
The woodpecker is always a pleasure to see.

For yesterday,
Horsey town for a coffee with my friend and picked up some F&V, blood orange season and we are both eating quite a few!
Few chores and listened to more Sherlock.
Over to BuryStEds to visit feed store, balancer and chaff for my big girl. On to yard as farrier expected, chat and a catch up with him. Cold wind blowing into girlie’s stable so closed her back door and rugged her for the evening.
After Sunday’s indulgences tea was baked mackerel with brown rice and sf veg.
The return of Silent Witness, couple of hid behind cushion moments.

3) Lots of football and 11 wins or draws in a row. In the last 8 of the FA trophy.
4) The cat is still going.
5) Did the first bit of gardening in the only half hour of January when it wasn't raining.
6) Weekly coffee mornings.
7) Was let loose with a palette knife in art for the first time.

Hello. It has been such a cold day here! The iciest of winds! Though dry so be thankful for that! Sat in front of the fire writing this! I’ve not had the fire on in a couple of weeks!
Anyway another early start…me awake and doggy thinks it’s time to get up…well we can get up but you ain’t getting fed!Me back to bed and had a weird dream ( though all my dreams are weird but this was very!)
Doggy walk mid morning. An absolute stomp down the field and the long drive ( usually it’s a pleasant saunter) but it was so blooming cold) dropped a bag of books and some planters into caravan that have been in my boot for past 2 weeks! And grabbed a pile of old tesco mags that are now in the recycling bin.And nipped into charity shop on way home and got a lovely ceramic baking tray with hearts ( I think for making heart shaped muffins) but it was very pretty and was only £3. Wasn’t a brand I knew so had a google when I got home and it was retailing for almost £30 ! Anyway gave it a wash and got sticky labels off it and I think it looks very pretty!
And home! Quick lunch and then out to go to an appointment with DD2…then I hit all the school traffic on the way home.
Hello doggies ( I have two today…and met a very lovely puppy this morning too!)
Sister had called earlier so called her back and waiting on niece calling me too.But until then I’ll be in front of the log burner listening to the blackbird sing and thinking ooh it’s not quite dark yet!

For yesterday,
A very cold and later, wet day so hurrah for warm waterproof coats.Into Uni City for a haircut etc, talked over over embracing my grey with lovely hairdresser and we now have a plan in place, I’ve been going lighter for a couple of years now but am fed up with the hassle of having coloured hair and looking with envy at E Thompson glorious Barnet!
Home, quick change and over to see my horse who was having a duvet day. My young friend couldn’t get down so put hay & water in his boy’s stable and gave my girl lots of attention. Biblical rain but cosy in stable with her.
Meatballs and spaghetti for tea.
Few games of Yahtzee and then we watched the second Silent Witness.
