Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) Not a bad sleep.ย
2) 3rd day at work done. Talked to my colleague as she left for her plane to Antigua!
3) Have been denied a day's holiday which can only spur me on to get a decent job. I have done 11 months at my job now. Found out where the smell is coming from at work. Dealt with that. I will not be taking questions, for all our sakes!ย
4) Made some chai tea. It turned out like tea but less pleasant.ย
5) Played the piano a bit.ย6 -

For yesterday,
Early morning dog walk and tiny spider webs picked out in dew on the grass.
Cant believe how quickly the beech leaves are turning and already coming down, itโs been such a dry summer for us.
Long chat with my bf.
Plans made for an autumnal break in Norfolk, will be C dogs first holiday with us.
The fairy lights are back up in the hearth and very welcome as the sun goes down.6 -
Afternoon!ยHad a quiet day at home yesterday. Up early and wrote a list of chores and ticked them all off.
Had a Pup for a few hours.ยThen I went down to CP about 6pm ishโฆLordy! The heat! When I walked in and wondered how Iโd breathe overnight! But windows and hurrah doors open ( because I now can have an open door!) we had a lovely walk with a breeze through the trees which was very welcome.
Then this morning out for a sunrise walk which was just stunning. It honestly feels like a treat being the only person out walking and seeing the joys of nature around us. There was a deer in the wheat field but it was far enough away for dog not to notice and then it went off in other direction. But I saw it ! Thrilling!ยThereโs a change in the colours of the leaves and a fair few already falling ( yeah like all over my new decking!). I am fascinated by the fungi and love taking their photos. And then on the way back up the road I saw 4 deer in the field 2 fields away and I just stand and sigh and feel happy!ยIn for a swim this morning. And it was just so beautiful too! I was in first so the water is still then it sparkles as the sun shines on it as I swim. Company of one chap who is a man of few words ๐ though we do chat back and forth! We both agree that itโs the best thing to do in the morning.ยOut after 50 minutes as had to get back home to get ready for work. Had a quick shady walk before we left. And quick chat with site manager .ยLovely drive home.ยItโs absolutely roasting here! Too warm for me! Got a text to say work venue is roasting so dress appropriately!ย7 -
Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) Slow to get to sleep but slept OK after that.
2) Fourth day at work and 9 hours done. It is an impossible job for one person and I was alone all day.
3) Smaller son brought the washing in.ย
4) Just watching YouTube videos now.ย
5) Might make some flapjacks.ย7 -
For yesterday,
Busy, busy day, started off with a small food shop and a quick coffee with my friend.
Other chores done and ticked off my list.
At the yard and my girlie was seeing the farrier, she was in a funny mood and very fidgety for him. He tidied up her chipped hind hoof and re-shod the front, her being on new grass has meant a fair bit of growth despite it only being the usual 6 weeks. Am toying with the idea of her going completely barefoot again as our new yard is on sandier soil.
Home, picked some tomatoes and courgettes for tea, did a big water of the pots as well.
Tested grey cells with UC and then an early night with a book.8 -
Hello.ยFor yesterday afternoonโฆI worked. Led a service for a lovely familyโฆeven though it was very warm!ยChat with niece.ยWent to bed fairly early.
Today.ยUp early.ยWas out again for work.
Chat to sister as I was a bit early.
Back up to small town about 10 miles away. Another mural had been painted since I was there last week so went and admired that!ยHome the long way so I could run into accountants officeโฆhad just seen the parking warden go down a side street so reckoned I had 5 minutes! Phew!ยSupermarketโฆgot a few RTC things for freezer.
Did a tiny bit of workโฆadding on what I needed to from this mornings visit. Usually I send my services off by email but this one was delivered in person!ยHad intended on cutting the grass but I read a book and had a snooze instead.ยPopped out for petrol about an hour ago and went into that supermarket for pillows. And by luck they were reduced! Got a couple of other bits and pieces for the caravan.ยMuch cooler today. And Iโve changed my bedding and put in a new quilt which is much thicker ย than what I hadโฆhad put off doing it as itโs been so warm so hopefully I donโt overheat tonight! And shall have new pillows too!ย8 -
For yesterday,
Wielded the hoover and made a few spiders homeless, washed down the hearth and generally pottered.
Morning visit to the beautiful grey one who was happy to see her Mum with a carrot in hand!ยDB came for lunch and brought me some flowers ๐ It was first time he had met C dog and was enchanted.
Talking of whom she had a follow up check at the VETS and he was pleased with how her ears are improving.
The sky cleared and we had a decent evening & sunset.8
