    For yesterday,

Much cooler day so wielded hoover, duster and mop for a good clean upstairs, Capt S was WFH so did the office around him.

Also made a loaf, good to have the house smelling of baking bread again.

Met my friend at the village GC for lunch, good catch up.

As always, time spent with my horse, she kept yawning and had obviously been lying down just before I arrived. Washed my grooming brushes and generally pottered.

The wind got up and we had a decent amount of rain during the evening, it got dark earlier so I popped on some twinkly lights, cosy.

    Pleasures for today (Wednesday)

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Bigger son came round. We went round the charity shops so he could get a shirt and trousers for his friends' wedding next week.

    3) Bigger son reverbed a £20 from the street!

    4) Has a cup of tea in M and S cafe.

    5) Did a bit of drawing.

    6) Went to Currys with smaller son.

    7) Saved a magpie that had got stuck in my garage.

    8) Catching up on 24 Hours in Police Custody now.

    Good morning.  🌞 again

Ampersand - I feel for you.  I had a week of 'human'  and ' gateway' messages while everyone else seemed to be happily posting away, inc photos!  So frustrating.

Highdays - I think Louise Penny is my favourite author. I've read them all twice and next time round I'm coming back as Reine Marie. Another favourite I met on this thread is Elly Griffiths esp the Ruth Galloway series.  And now I can add Shardlake😀

Haircut yesterday, but, like everything else, it's gone up!  I'll just have to go less often!

Did a new salmon recipe with chipotle paste/ yogurt marinade.  Never used chipotle before but I use smoked paprika often and it seemed similar.  Anyway, there's the rest of the jar to use up now so it will figure in more meals somewhere.

Watching the bees on the salvia Hot Lips  (!) outside the window.  They love it there even though each little floret is smaller than a bee.

Got a new tv.  It was reduced greatly on Prime day(s).  The old one was starting to become awkward and didn't always do what was asked.  New one is much more responsive but It still took us ages to set up each bit with QR codes here and passwords there.  Done now, though there still nothing we want to watch at the moment.😂

Day off today.  No appointments for either of us.  Don't know what to do with myself!

    Happy Thursday everyone

    For yesterday,

Chores wise it was cleaning bathrooms and the oven, all powered by a MR podcast and it was an interview with a heart surgeon.

After the above I swapped out my planned cheese sarnie for a tuna salad at lunchtime 🙈

The hostas have flowers coming, first time growing as I’ve always been put off by the slugs / snails problems but 🤞all good so far.

Starting to get ready for new family member, a slow down feed bowl and probiotic paste ordered, she is a labrador after all!

Watched and thoroughly enjoyed Bookish, the new Mark Gatiss offering.
