Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Got a few jobs done while it was a bit cooler, including washing.
3) 30⁰ all afternoon but 25⁰ now.
4) Watched the men's Wimbledon final.
5) Made meatballs in wrap for tea.
6) Watching the Euros England v Wales now.4 -
For yesterday,
Wasn’t a great night sleep wise so just a quiet day at home.
We did have bacon butties and caught up on all the goings on in Ambridge.
Lots of reading and cricket watching.
Big bowl of strawberries and ice-cream.
Was added to a WhatsApp group for the new guardians of the dogs being rehomed this time, we will be given tracking details so that we can watch the happy bus being driven up from Italy, trying hard not to get excited but……

Morning all from sunny ☀️ (at the moment) Swanage. We drove down on Saturday, not a good journey, to arrive at a lovely caravan with fantastic views of the bay 😊. It was lovely to escape the 30 degree heat 🥵 in exchange for sunny 25. We sort of watched the ladies final ☹️ and had an Indian takeaway 😋 The sunset, viewed from our balcony, was amazing. We knew yesterday was going to be the last really lovely day, so we were on on the beach 🏖️ just after 9. Glorious day in and out of the sea, temperatures around 23 and a breeze, perfect! Back to watch the enjoyable men’s final 🎾 and chicken salad. We’re probably going to get the steam train from Swanage to Corfe Castle as it’s supposed to be cloudy and breezy today. Meeting up with friends for lunch tomorrow. Have a good day everyone.

Hello again.
Back from our holidays and just catching up.
A week's worth of pleasures:
1) Had a great holiday on the East Coast with amazing weather, unusual to see the North Sea looking blue!
2) Happy to be back home pootling and pottering as per usual. We stayed in superb accommodation but nothing beats your own bed.
3) The antibitoics worked and my poorly tooth wasn't a problem while we were away but is now a bit twingey so a sort of pleasure is that I have scans, etc booked at the dentist this afternoon. Should find out a bit more about the procedure of removing this tooth and getting the implant. My brother has had two done so could fill me in a bit, his great advice was just to go along and take it a step at a time.
4) Missed a week's worth of Wimbledon but was back in time for the men's final yesterday.
5) My granddaughter got engaged at the weekend, great excitement and a wedding planned for 2027. Bacl to chub club tomorrow to face the music after a big gain on holiday and now have the incentive to get into a slinky outfit for the wedding.
Couple of weeks of normal life now and then away again with smallest grandson for a couple of days (his birthday pressie from us so his every wish - pretty much! - will be our command). I'll read back over your week of pleasures when I get back from the dentist, setting off in a mo. Hope everyone is ok.

Ok, loud Mrs Middle-aged Peroxide, parked too close alongside, how about reversing that lit🚬cigarette end in your mouth, so you can have ALL your own smoke.Don't share it with &, merci 😖🤮😷.Some osps from all over the place.1. In PK's neck of woods in wide sense. Yesterday's 20th Anniversary of The World Garden at Lullingstone Castle with lovely Tom Hart-Dyke was absolute joy. Too much to relate here, but here's a link:2. Learnt about this🥇. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/193VTDF7DB/3. Having some muck around days, so remote hidey spot at night, big walking, hills, woken by rain at 0430h.Little new radio on. Waterfowl fed, & ditto, another Waitrose tracked down, so free latte with shopping.3. Well, dear Carlos somehow just wasn't quite on his game yesterday, while Sinner was robotic on his day of extreme, supreme excellence. Sinner is not a 'warmed to' persona for &, but yesterday was his day and respect for how much it meant to him - listened while still at Lullingstone, of course.😁 Carlos exceptionally gracious, as always, and honest during that critical 4th set, shouting to his box, 'he's playing better than me'.4. HC in Eynsford, then morning prayer in St Botolph's, alongside the H-D's home, ahead of the event itself.5. Surviving still and doing things like these muck around times. Beholden to no-one, taking off here and there on near-as-nil £s, but CS visits still feature.😁Love it.#Frith - hope younger son IS ok. Good that you can organise all your match tickets and attendance so well in advance.

Fabulous picture Frith
Happydays - my Ds2 wants to go to the poisonous garden at Alnwick so will possibly book a weekend to go.
Pleasures for last few days
1. I have cherry tomatoes ripening on my plants.
2. Sold another item, more money in the pot.
3. Earned a supermarket voucher for surveys.
4. More lovely sunshine.
5. Journey home from work was good so now in bed ready to sleep.6 -
Good morning. Sunny again but not as airless. Nearly rained yesterday tea time but decided not to bother after about 4 big drops.
I won a magazine competition! A pretty gold vermeil bracelet and some other goodies ( wine, chocs, face cream). I do quite a few online competitions and this is the first win. Very exciting. New car next😂
Went round to see DGD set off to her Y11 prom. She has a big heart op looming so it was great to see her as a carefree 16 year old for a while. She looked beautiful, of course 😃
Two trips to physio so far and sciatica definitely improving but still comes back of I do too much housework or gardening. Think somebody up there is telling me to sit down and read a book.
Talking of which I've discovered Shardlake. Late to this party. I know, but heard one on R4 and then first book was 99p on Kindle yesterday. Love finding a new series
We're also enjoying Race Across the World too. I know! Late again. But if you're not a sports fan the last two weeks forced a trawl through i-player. Fortunately most evenings have been warm enough to just sit in the garden and chat.
We now have a hosepipe ban here so much though I love hot sunny weather, I wouldn't mind some rain. Perhaps at night. Like in Camelot, according to Richard Harris.
Ok. I'm rambling. Happy 🌞 day everyone

Love that you are taking off and enjoying life Amps
The Shardlake series is one of my all time favs HappyCas and I’m currently re-reading, enjoy!
For yesterday,
In emporium and I was complimented on my dress by fellow shopper. Much loved green linen but have had for number of years so surprisingly touched.
Also yes to TMS listening, from the first ball bowled at 11am all through day until Siraj’s heartbreaking dismissal, obviously chuffed for England but well played India.
The cricket got me through the pile of holiday clothes ironing and on to yard to see my girl. She had some bites on her heels so cleaned off and gave cooling wash with tea tree shampoo.
Window cleaner did his thing, now the wasp nest has gone and the sparrows fledged he had a clear run at the top ones ☺️Catching and releasing what looked like the same flutterby several times, he obviously likes the house!5
