That exhibition looks good Amps 👍
For yesterday,
Waking early and reading in bed, have decided to re-read all of the Shardlake books and already immersed in Tudor England.
We have a wasp nest under the eaves and, whilst being very much a live and let live kind of person, being attacked each time I go to the shed and water feature wasn’t much fun so called our friendly pest control bod. Quickly and efficiently done plus the utter pleasure of meeting Reggie his adorable spaniel pup.
So, numpty that I am I contrived to drop a small kitchen knife into my mini’s engine compartment 🙈 in my defence I had just used it to remove the foil covering on a bottle of engine oil when topping up but even so. Confession to village garage and taken down to be put up on the ramp and said knife removed, no charge bless them.
Grazing my equine pal in hand, lack of rain means not much grass in paddocks but some in walkways etc, hay is one thing but grass is another in my girl’s eyes.
Having a cuppa and a catch up with my lovely man, he worked away from home all day.5 -
I’ve just lost my post for the passed few days history, so I’ll do yesterdays, back later with todays…
I had a rather surprise interview as funeral arranger, talked about and did it same day, as you do.
I walked up with DH to the local hospital for his diabetic eye check and walked him back of course it was sunny when we don’t want it to be.
I won a butcher pack raffle which arrived yesterday, I re packaged some of it to portions and popped in the freezer there is plenty there to keep us carnivores happy for a couple of weeks for the price of one ticket a whole £3, feels amazing.
Ocado delivered, this one was part for the caravan, part for us, always nice having heavy items delivered.
This – she has happened on purpose. She’s been named Swizzel, and I’m smitten, I'll get a proper photo at some point at the moment they are all videos as she's a blur of energy.

Hello!Weird day here weather wise. Was rainy to start and then has been very grey all day but was a warm grey! A very warm windy grey.
Up early. With a crick in my neck. And usual sore shoulder and plantar fasciitis-y foot! Ouch!
Went for a scone this morning at old work.
Then out to work this afternoon. A lovely service…and with nothing booked in for next week I think I’m off for a few weeks!Took myself out for a late lunch. Local Brewers Fare type place on way back from crem. They do a main course for a fiver and a pud for £2.95. So I was well fed for less than £8.00
Home. Hello doggy boys.Chat to friend on phone. No need for tea.Need to make myself a HUGE list of things to do when I’m on holiday! And my 35p dahlias are looking much more sprightly today!5 -

Aww, cuteness overload PK, welcome Swizzel
For yesterday,
Warm day so up early and did an hour in the garden first thing, mostly weeding and dead-heading, also fed the tomatoes. Saw the hummingbird moth for the first time this year, didn’t see it at all last.
The greenfinches have obviously had a brood as there was four juveniles sitting on the edge of the water feature, all fluffed up feathers and daring each other to get in.
With the beautiful grey one, she was in during the heat of the afternoon so tidied up her legs, conditioned her hooves and generally pampered.
Beetroot and feta salad for tea, oh and ice-cream of course, balanced diet and all that ☺️Cheering on the ladies footie team then watched an old episode of Black Books as couldn’t believe Capt S had never seen it.5 -
Oooft the heat has arrived!I slept till 7.30am which is ridiculous! Things to do , places to be!Went into town. And home… hung out washing. Admired 35p plants, totally recovered!
Sister called.
Hoovered. Cleaned shelves. Cut grass. Chatted to friend who was passing.
Decorator chap came.Friend phoned… just off after almost 2 hours of chatting…only spoke to her yesterday! And said oooh it’s too warm many times 🫠5
