Morning all.
Back from gallavanting, some recent pleasures:
1) Good couple of days away with brother and SIL. It was very hot so we ambled rather than ran round a couple of beautiful houses, did a lot of sitting in amazing gardens and way too much eating.
2) Had a good catch up and did some forward planning for our upcoming holiday when our other brother and his wife will join us for a week on the coast. We are renting a converted barn overlooking the sea so hope the lovely weather continues.
3) Beautiful weather, we have had an amazing year so far, we were 26 degrees here yesterday, just right in the shade, not really looking forward to the expected 31 degrees at the weekend.
4) Even being at home feels like a holiday when you can throw the doors open and 'bring the outside in'.
5) Son had to take middle grandson to an appointment yesterday so we got to pick little fella up from school. They had had a Health and Safety person come to talk to them about extortion but we were informed we are on his Safe Person list as he can trust us - phew, that's good then.
Busy (for us) day ahead, walking, shopping, meal sorting then a frantic hour or so later on with my book in the garden - it's all go!
Enjoy your day whatever you are up to.6 -
Oooh, you weren't there when I posted, Suffolksue. Lovely to 'see' you and best wishes for a very happy birthday. Enjoy your birthday celebrations when they happen.6

Happy birthday Sue hope you’ve had a nice day!I’ve been away and back again stayed at the CP overnight.
Tuesday.Up early and then off to work. To meet a new family. Another lovely family. Came home and set a timer and started writing. Got most of the service written. Will do the rest tomorrow. Then going back to meet them on Friday morning.
Then I gathered all my bits and pieces in bags and off I went. Rain on the way down but was dry when I got there. Had a lovely walk and went for a swim! Was kicked out the pool as it was closing for the night!Caravan tea of leftover lasagna, RTC corn on the cob and salad.
Started reading a new library book…there was very little connection to wifi.Quick doggy walk and then bed.Usual kind of caravan sleep…which is rubbish but not any worse than at home!Out for a lovely walk at 5.30am…just us and the birds. Was reading for a wee while and then had dozed off again.
Over to pool for about 40 minutes. Chatting for first 10 minutes then they left and just back and forth. Occasionally the sun peeked behind the clouds.Back for a hot shower and finished my book.Stripped the bed and headed back home.
Chat to sister.
Hoovered the car.Cut the grass.
Returned a work call I’d missed while cutting the grass.
Had leftover mince pie, chopped little new potatoes in half and popped them in the airfryer and peas and sprouts for tea.Weeded! Grrrr at the weeds! It’s been nice to have a ‘day off’3 -
Wishing you a very Happy Birthday SSue 🎉3

Happy Birthday SSue
I’ve been reading along, but I’ve forgotten to post.
There may have been a trip to the garden centre thankfully only 2 half price things made there way back with us and are now safely planted up.
Spending some lovely time reading in the garden there may have been naps involved
We had to run a few errands, dropping parcels off, drop into the doctors, then to the local hospital for bloods.
The vets sent us a card about Fizzers with her paw print which caught me. We have decided we’ll be getting another when the times right as she’s left a vast hole.
I batch cooked at the weekend and tonight is lasagne from it

For yesterday,
Watering the garden pots & containers at 6am and enjoying the cool air.
Washing dried on the line in just two hours, the whirligig line is in the sunniest part of the garden.
Drove over to see the beautiful grey one and fetched her inside for a few hours, she was going back out at 8pm.
The gentle pleasure that is Robbie and his Canal Boat Diaries.
Standing outside at 10pm, still light in the sky and thinking about my girl spending her first night this year out under the stars.

Morning all 😊
Recent pleasures:
The sunshine, even though it’s too hot 🥵 for me.
Washing quick dried on the line.
Helping a friend, even though it meant me abandoning my dentist appointment after waiting 30 minutes, they were running late and she was waiting for me in the car to take her to a hospital appointment.
Enjoying the tennis.
The hot tub! Such a blessing to be able to dip in and relax, listening to my favourite music, glad we’ve got it shaded with a sail.
have a good day, meant to be 29 degrees 🥵 here today, I’ve cancelled my plans, not going anywhere 😊5
