Lovely photos Ampersand
I’ve honestly spent so much of the day deep cleaning, all parts out of the microwave and oven to soak in a solution, leaving things looking revolting.
Onwards to changing all the ferret fleeces and washing down the litter trays, not a bad job as it doesn’t get too bad.
Covering the garden in caravan awning to measure and list for sale a fair amount of doing, the ferrets loved the sound of the tape measure and kept following it around. Of course, next up do we have the paperwork, we do, however finding the official size of the awning proves to be hours of trawling the web, and then to list it on a few websites/
Took all the bird feeders up and cleaned them all up as there have been a lot of baby birds down.
More miffed than I can write about this and what’s worse is it’s my fault.., I accidentally left my very good walking sandals out in the garden as I went barefoot yesterday and then forgot to bring them in, the cameras show the fox ambling off with it. So the ladders came out we checked everywhere over the wall etc but no sign, and I resorted to a Facebook post of lonely left sandal seeks matching right side for long walks.. I don’t hold much hope, but it’s worth a try they were the very good sandals.
I didn’t know what to cook for dinner, so cooked up some sausages and an egg and popped it in a roll. Right now, a batch of flap jacks are cooking away to hopefully satisfy my sweet tooth.
Some more plants planted up, just two petunias left and quite a few empty pots still.

PK we were just talking yesterday when we used to go to France on holiday and you left your shoes in a wee dooket ( shelf) outside the pool / walked through the disinfectant pool and through to the swimming pools! Someone ( obviously not a fox!) took my husbands sandals and he had to walk home in bare feet! We never got them back!Another morning here of sunshine !Had the most rubbish night sleep! Finally dozed off and it felt like the dog just woke me up! At 5.20 am …me : really??Anyway was up and at ‘em yesterday morning. Out moving garden furniture, weeding and watering very early. Hello lots of little courgette seedlings peeking through!Down to pool for 9am with DD2 had a lovely swim and chatter. Went back to caravan for a wee while. I did some weeding there… will be a work in progress this week I think!Hit a few shops on the way home.Quiet afternoon of generalised wilting in the heat!Fan was brought out the cupboard and plugged in near the top of my bed.

Watched the fox on the camera acquiring my shoes, he tried ever so hard to fit both in his mouth, almost had to give him credit.
Got out the needle and thread and sewed up two maxi skirts where needed, just need to pop them through the wash to make sure they withstand it.
Published out the for-sale awning across a few websites.
Inspired by Friths post I popped my CV through ChatGPT, and created an updated CV.
Rewatching the 1970’s version of Robin Hood, which should be the only version….

the weekend has once again gone too fast. my five pleasures
1) friends - phoenix friday with 3 retired colleagues, a birthday party with 1 not retired colleague on saturday
2) haircut - a new hairdresser, good job and next cut booked for 5 weeks' time
3) football - very much enjoyed the fa cup final

5) lady luck - church raffle, friend asked me to look after their tickets as they had to go - 4 of my 5 were drawn (after 2 i did say redraw!), both of his were drawn and one of mum's was drawn!MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

For the weekend,
Nice start as we went out for breakfast, my beloved had a Snorker bap and I enjoyed a warm cheese scone.
The great shed clear out, a pile left outside to be taken to the tip and everything now tidy inside, my potting bench is once again clear and ready for use.
The swifts are back and flying high above the garden.
My phone rang and it was the dog rescue charity, our girlie developed an infection in her spay wound and needed a further op so won’t be fit enough to travel on the May transport ☹️ We are obviously disappointed but 48 hours on a bus is hardly a place for a poorly dog.
Spent some time with my big girl then come home to enjoy the second half of the Cup Final.
Reading in bed, enjoying the first cup of tea of the day.
Over to Fenland market town and a day spent with family.
Tasty food, time with people I love and lots of cuddles with the canine members of our family.
Home, into our PJ’s and watched the final episode of Black Snow.

Neighbouring chap from next street stopped me as I was getting stuff out car earlier and said could I use logs . They had some that they wouldn’t use! So he came back over with 4 bags of logs and a half bag of kindling! Well thank you very much!
FaceTime Chat to great nephew who was having a birthday! Aged 6.Went round to see Mums NDN. We laughed as the blossom was on her side of the garden and not mums as she would always complain it would be.4
