Hello.
Happy Birthday to mhagster and Mr Paulie, hope you both enjoy your days.
Few pleasures here at the mo, we are both struggling with rotten colds and coughs. Hubby has a chest infection and is on antibiotics. We are both 'sleeping' in chairs as we cough too much lying down so consequently shattered! Oh joy!
All weekend activities are cancelled or postponed for us but the sun is shining and the forecast is good so hope you enjoy a sunny weekend whatever you are up to.6 -
Happy Birthday to mhags and also to Mr Paulie.
I’m not sure where I got up to it’s been a mixed week I think I’ll do today's pleasures
We popped out to pick up meds, as it was so quiet we walked down the road took in a charity shop wallet stayed firmly shut, but we also wandered around a treasure trove shop we had always written off as way to expensive for us, but it was a shop that just kept giving more and more rooms, we picked up a necklace I had been looking to hang a pendant off for 6, some bells for one pound and a ferret figure for 9, we were very happy, and the owner was offering DH a job, but he doesn’t fancy dealing with the public.
Home and caught up with the neighbours as we were doing things outside, DH helped with a car issue
Homemade pizza for tea, and some chicken pieces a bit later.
Three washing loads on the line.
My appetite has found its way back today

Happy Birthday @mhags and Mr. Paulie. Hope you both had a wonderful day. @Highdays - hope your family is feeling better soon. Glad you are feeling a bit better @Purple_kitten and have gotten your appetite back.
I am grateful that I was able to visit the British Isles as often as I did - and that I can remember so much of it. When I am having work done on my back and neck, I imagine myself walking the streets again especially in Belfast and Hay-on-Wye. But I like to "move around in my travels" while on the stationary bike. Makes it much easier.6 -
Happy Birthday MHags and Mr Paulie.

1. Good journey to work

Pleasures for today (Saturday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Met my friend at 10 for a pot of tea.
3) Went with smaller son at the football and our team won 3-0.
4) We swapped the dining room and living room around. I'm now on the sofa but feel like I'm nearly in the garden!
5) Watched Casualty.7 -
Hello thank you for birthday wishes.I went to stay overnight at CP yesterday for the first time as I’ve been waiting until it was nice enough ( and warm enough) to do so. It’s been a work in progress , it was very old fashioned when I bought it and not to my taste so bit by bit I’ve been changing it to more me ( and on a budget!)
Anyway we arrived about 11am and had a nice walk. There is very little mobile reception there which I find frustrating. As it’s all very well choosing not to use your phone as much but different when you actually can’t. But I read and I’d downloaded stuff to watch.DD2 popped down and we had a nice walk with the dog boys then she went home and I stayed!!It was so quiet! In an I need to adjust to the silence.I woke a couple of times which is my normal but managed to get back to sleep. Then woke up early Schmearly and we went the most beautiful walk as the sun was rising . It was stunning and the sky was reflected in the windows of the mansion house ( that sits in the CP)
Beautiful bird song
Came back to caravan and opened my birthday cards and gifts which I’d taken down with me
Had Visitors of the niecelys and DD2 and the dog which was all a bit loud so was happily waving as they left 😆
Was going to stay a bit longer (as in a couple of hours) but it was lashing with rain and about 6o. So just headed home and put the heating on and then the log burner.
The chap brought in takeaway for dinner and a birthday cake ( they had a bit but I was stuffed so I’ll leave it till tomorrow) and a bunch of flowers.

Sounds like a good day Mhags
For yesterday,
Slow start with a cuppa and reading in bed then…
Busy morning, made a loaf and cleaned out the inside of my car which still dirty from the yard move, those bits of hay get everywhere!
Bright yellow of the forsythia in flower.
Afternoon with my girlie, we went for a little walk in the sunshine.
Treat of a payday takeaway,7 -
Good evening. Just back from a short break in Scotland.. A coach trip with friends.
Drove up Wednesday in lovely weather.
Thursday. Loch Lomond and Inverary in the rain!
Friday. Rannoch Moor and Fort William. In the rain!
Saturday. Oban. In more rain than you would believe possible!
Today. Drive back home in glorious sunshine!
Pleasures though
Some brief clear patches on Friday allowed us to see the beauty of Rannoch Moor. And all the rain made for magnificent waterfalls.
Good company, good food and the odd drink.
Usual hotel pleasures of someone else cleaned bathroom, made bed, cooked meals etc
And then the pleasure of being back home
Happy sunny evening everyone 🌞. And it's still light too x

Sorry about the weather Happycas ! Hope you still had a warm welcome at all the places you visited
Just watching the sunset! After a wild start it turned into a nicer afternoon.Woke up with labyrinthitis which I’d felt coming on yesterday. Blah!Quieter day than I’d planned. Sometimes it’s just my body’s way of saying slow down! And I have to!Had leftover dinner for lunch and toast for tea. With a bit of birthday cake in between.Got washing out and dry in the very windy wind. It’s not easy hanging washing when you’re dizzy 😆
Had a lie down this afternoon.Nice sky tonight…I’ll change the kitchen clock tomorrow …I ain’t standing on a stool today!6
