SuffolkSue, I do admire Richard Coles, I have his grief book and follow him on the dreaded social media. We spent a lot of time finding the right poem for a card, and the right one just lept out at us, so glad it did as Mum in law absolutely loved it.
Up early yesterday and travelled over to mum in laws, to just be about and remembering to take food for us all, spent the day there.
We got back a bit late as the m20 was shut, but stayed up the whole night with Freddo, as he was asking to be cuddled. He passed away in our arms at 7.30am.
We clambered into bed and slept on and off until about midday.
I’ve done some wash loads, and re filled the very empty bird feeders.
Apologies it seems it's my time for non pleasures but even now, finding a lot of comfort in nature and the animals of course.

PK - oh no.. Such a sad time for you. Hugs x
Frith - well done on new job. Fingers crossed all goes well on younger son's first day
D Doll - it's awful when everything is going wrong at work. Such a difficult atmosphere to negotiate each day. More hugs x
DD popped in this afternoon for a cuppa. Lovely to see her and have a natter.
Made chicken shawarma for tea. It was a spices sachet but I added bits too and did it in the slow cooker. It was very good. Quite proud!
Over the week I have cleaned every bit of glass in the house. (it's not a big house, but still....) Windows/ mirrors/glass in pictures etc. Everywhere looks brighter now 😂
Think I might rest on my laurels for a while, and have a glass of wine whilst there.
Happy weekend everyone

pk hugs sent!Up early after seriously weird dreams! Then when awake heard a huge clunk from somewhere in the house so was rather trepidatious as I went downstairs and still couldn’t see what it was till I was heading back upstairs…a leg of the tripod lamp had obviously loosened ( possibly bumped into by a big pup) and had fallen over.
Anyway DD2 picked us up and off we went to CP. walks times two and more painting! She did a second coat on my doors whilst I started the emulsioning in the bedroom. It was quite busy with lots of people down ( I prefer quiet) We had rolls and sausages for brunch. And home!Painted the garden table. Did two coats and will probably need another coat tomorrow.
Made a chilli for tea. Which was very nice!Another lovely sunny day after a chilly start.6 -

Pleasures for last 2 days
1. Up early, shopping delivered and no subs.
2. Walk with little dog and met another dog walker who I didn’t know and walked and chatted.
3. Food made to take to work
4. worked 12 hours extra for pay - just got home.
5. Shoulder op has been postponed till April by consultant.
6. Now off till Wednesday.
7. Greetings for little dog when I got in.7 -
I’m so sorry PK, he was loved and held until the very end x
For yesterday,
Gentle start, cup of tea and reading in bed.
DSS, lovely fiancée plus energetic boy dog arrived so coats on and a long walk, so many blossoms in the hedgerows and the humming of bees enjoying the first big feed of the spring stopped us in our tracks.
Off to the farm shop for a late lunch, cake was also consumed.
Guests left and I went over to see my girl, she was already in and a tad anxious so sat with her for a bit. She is a very stoical mare and holds much inside but after over 8 years together I can read the signals.
No need to for tea but enjoyed a glass of wine and a few games of Yahtzee.
