Hello! Thanks for that epic post DFV glad I wasn’t immediately after it 😆 and big hug to you 🤗
Up early after dreaming that DD2 was kidnapped! Texted her to check she was okay! She was! She was just at work!Big walk with doggy and DD1 then time to drop her off at train station as she starts her epic journey home to Australia via several countries on her way back. Catching up with Australian friends who just happen to be in Europe! We have spent the last 3 weeks laughing. We have the same sense of humour ( which is the same as my husband) so it’s so good to laugh loudly until your belly hurts like I used to.Popped into work place for a quick hello. Then phone call to another new family to arrange a time to go and meet them next week.
Had parked at town supermarket car park and we had walked down to train station so popped in on my way back. Got some very RTC carnations and chrysanthemums . And three wee storage containers for £1 each for the caravan.
Then into my local supermarket to see if they had RTC sourdough bread which they did as I grudge paying full price when I’m just putting it in the freezer.Sent friend a text did they want to come for tea…yes please! So a rake through the freezer and RTC sausages, roast potatoes/parsnips/ carrots with sprouts and cauliflower all from cheap festive prices.Had a third of a cheesecake left in fridge, half a punnet of RTC strawbs and some icecream shared between 3 for pud. Not bad for an impromptu invite!
and I’ve just enjoyed the last half an hour of peace and quiet as I readjust to just being me again.Blooming freezing here!Might just go and strip the spare bed and get it hung up as heating will click on overnight because of temps (-6) whilst I watch The Traitors ! ( if I stay awake 😆)
All prepped for work tomorrow!7 -

no frost here and easy drive to get DGS
next stage went ok (I think)
and he got the train back ok ,takes a bit longer than driving but of course I don’t have th drive both way .8 weeks until next session.
very very cold but been bright and sunny all day
shepherds pie and beans for dinner ,thought DGs would have some but he felt sore so will eat when home .
means I have it two days on trot but that’s ok .

Hello..need to chuck another log on the fire so a quick few for Friday.
Up early and then had an extra snooze with the alarm set!
Met mums NDN when I was out scraping the car. She was out a doggy walk. Quick chat.
Off to work I went. Bit further than I normally go so gave myself plenty time…lovely family and an old boy labradors head on my feet (after he’d brought me a shoe and had a sniff through my pockets )
Nice drive back.
Popped into supermarket. Got 2 big bags of RTC apples for 68p each. And some RTC daffs.
Home hello my dog boy.Lunch.Then set to work…all going well until a powercut!
Pup collected. See ya ( probably tomorrow 😆)7 -
Dear Lainey, had not known...I am so sorry.
#1. & is now 76 as an unexpectedly lovely, busy celebration day nears its end - 2 totally unexpected mystery boxes, lunch with oldest Northern hemisphere uni friend, cake+café+treats with another young friend (the retired - at 36 - British Army Major; feels bizarre that he is not half &'s age!) then rugby in The Alma, where merlot+onion rings are splendid and Glasgow walloped Racing 92.It's been the iciest day of the week, even of the winter, by some margin, but still blue sky and sun.Midsummer in Aotearoa.
The old school friends' T. has just written 'Only 23⁰c here today. 😀😀'
#&'s facebook birthday fundraiser is for Sarcoma UK and is building.2. Back to her Nana's old saying: 'See a penny, pick it up.All the day you'll have good luck.'Today's birthday penny was outside the emporium.😀4. Loving new long hwb. Friend received one from her daughter at Chrimbo, loved it so much she asked her to order another for &. Fabulous and snuggly.5. Old friend, long moved away, flukily saw &'s birthday fundraiser and renewed contact. Wonderful after major changes - life, address, status. Parallels personal and professional with &'s life and BROH experience. We'll meet when & next travels to BROH check-up.#Please, everyone, stay warm and safe. All blessings, essential as we survive the coming 4 years of a dangerous, narcissistic Musk'n'Trumpanzee time bomb.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Pleasures for today (Friday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Went to the coffee morning. Walked there (very cold!) Had 3 cups of tea and discussed with one lady there that we might go to Birmingham tomorrow. Apart from that, we talked mainly about cats.
3) Had ham and cheese toasties for lunch and saw the big fox in the garden (white ring to his tail).
4) Smaller son has played darts a lot today and been in a happy mood.
5) I worked from 4-8 with a nice colleague. I had to work with the extremely difficult colleague last Sunday and she went from tantrum to tantrum. Nice colleague intercepted the manager today (who I think wanted to ask me about it) and told her what had happened. Very good of her.
6) The football is cancelled tomorrow, plus Park Run plus my brother's tennis matches. As I write, it is -5 outside. We might put the heating on shortly (trumpet fanfare!!)
7) Watched The Traitors.5 -
Thanks Amps and sending belated birthday wishes 🎉
Still here, still reading along while adjusting to this newness, did spend enjoyable afternoon with DB yesterday which was most welcome as were doggy cuddles with his lovely labrador.7
