For yesterday,
Early sunshine and a wander around the garden, cuppa in hand.
Breakfast then a visit to see my horse, she was sleepy and so happy to just stand in the sun while Mum gave her a groom & tidied up her mane and tail.
Out to lunch at village pub, a treat not to cook and the food was yum, all bookings were given a bottle of wine too so that come home with us!
Afternoon doze then a gentle meander with small dog, we get to the edge of the field and she decides if she feels up to going the longer route. More and more she turns away with a sigh 😔
Cant say the footie was a pleasure but we did watch it.7 -
Hello
just sitting with back doors open and listening to birds and watching them have a splash in the bird baths.Early Schmearly
Went to dog park field. Took my library book and a big bottle of water ( for both dog and I) threw his ball every five minutes and read my book! It was probably better with company of pup the other day. But a safe place to be and stunning views. It sits up hill from a riding stables so you can see all the horses …thought of you Lainey
Home via supermarket where I met a friend and ended up chatting. Got a few RTC things that will do dinners this week.
Sat and finished library book then ten minutes later the library bus came! Nice chat with chap, a pile of new books and 2 bags of poo bags (free) Met neighbour/friend and had a nice chat with her.
Hoovered again. Seriously! Dog hair city !Picked a jam jars worth of sweet peas.Tea was a use it up kind of meal. Pasta with leftover cream, onion, pepper, RTC mushroom, olio free spring onion and leftover cooked olio free sausages. All chucked together in my one and only pan and served in a takeaway tub! But it was very delicious.8 -
Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Ikea didn't phone or text so I was not sure when my delivery would arrive. I left the porch door ajar and went out in the end. Did lots of charity shops and bought one thing - a Nomads dress. I do like their stuff. Also bought a light fitting metal bit for my new 1960 lampshade.
3) Had a cup of tea and biscuit in Bill's cafe.
4) Came home and the wardrobe was delivered within 30 minutes. It took smaller son and me about an hour to build it.
5) Went through all my clothes, throwing away the most paint spattered.
6) Popped to Sainsburys with smaller son.
7) Watching the Turkish Detective now and they've just read out some Dylan Thomas.7 -
Catching up on posts.
Lainey, who needs holiday when we have 4 paws.
1 I put off going out today, not a bad call
2 That fresh bedding feeling later, holding onto the washing until tomorrow when the sun is supposed to be out if you ignore the St Swithin' idea….
3 Arranged the online shop for the free delivery slot.
4 More pennies to Fuses fund.
5 A kestrel, not a pleasure for the birds that scarpered but novel to see.

Will & attempt 3rd time lucky, as rain crashes down in Town of Horse, with battery down to 21%? Annoyingly, saw 2 preceding posts briefly up, then gone again.🤐.
1. Ok. Will try🫶. Might result in a rare variant osp.😀
2. Msg'g with Spain through all of this. Offering to send much rain, with pics. P off to have cold shower after temp. hit 43.1C on their deeply shaded terrace this arvo.
3. Mark Steel's in Town - R4's East Grinstead catch-up earlier and tonight's Potteries fun. He's made a great recovery.
4. Takings banked from weekend Fair, if not on Spitalfields' scale. Better than nothing, BUT a nail discovered in back right tyre will swallow some of it.
5. Amazingly, received phone call up on The Gallops. Can & believe at last that 5 times+many months overdue refunds will come through at last, as many times promised? Will know by Wednesday, so🤞.

For yesterday,
A sunny, warm start so washing quickly out on line as aware of forecast, as per Amps last image!
A loaf made then out for a small food shop, petrol and small dog’s food while it was proving. Home and weather still good so back door open and an old spaniel enjoyed the sun on her back.
Over to see my other girl, by now there was some light drizzle but still warm so girlie sorted and turned out in her dry-fly rug. We shared an apple or rather I managed one bite before she snaffled the rest.
Made a lasagne for tea, big enough for leftovers as well.
Heavy rain against the windows and reading by lamplight while my loves snore away either side of me.5 -
Another quiet day.Up early.
Pup dropped off just after 7am then picked up for his walk…earlier than normal! Just as well I was dressed 😆
Washing out in the afternoon as it was unforecasted raining ( but good for the garden) and dried.Sister called me and chatted for ages..
Had RTC quiche and veg for late lunch
And grapes for tea.Started a new library book so just been sitting and reading whilst the dog snores!4 -
Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Met my parents and brother for lunch.
3) Took some clothes to the charity shop and some cardboard to the tip.
4) Did the rough edges of painting in the hall and landing.
5) Glossed the patio door frame, internal glass door frame and the stairs bulkhead.
6) Filled the holes in the bathroom ceiling.
7) Sanded the living room skirting.
8) Watching the Alan Carr childhood comedy series.6 -
Good morning. Whisper it not too loud. It's sunny
I have slept so little the last few nights, it's been hardly worth going to bed! No idea why. It's never my strong point anyway, but this is plain silly. Sure I'll catch up soon.
But it's helping with the rereading of Louise Penny/ Gamache books. In order this time.
Managed some garden tidying between showers/ downpours but it's never dry for long enough to do it properly. But it does look very lush and green.
Still trying to make sense of the bits and bobs in the freezer. Some interesting meals have been had!
DH loves gooseberries but I don't so I decided to make him a goosegog crumble and me an apple one. Except the Bramleys were tiny and very expensive so I bought a tin of cherries and will have cherry crumble. A treat each!
Happy 🌞 ( fingers crossed) day everyone
