For yesterday,
Lazy start with a cuppa and reading my book in bed, still up by 8am.
Made a loaf, then topped up windscreen wash and checked my tyre pressure on mini, think I have a slow puncture on one but hopefully it can last until service in the autumn.
Lunch of fresh bread and cheese then over to see the beautiful grey one, bit of groundwork done then she was put out in paddock. I did take her play ball out to the field with us but she looked at me as if to say duh, now have the important business of eating grass so no time for ball games Mum!
Home and sat in the garden with a cool drink before taking small dog out, too hot for a field walk so we just had a meander under the beech trees and she was very sluggish so right choice.
The full moon was just rising as we headed off to bed, a strawberry or rose moon, one of which I have loads of, another not so much.

Good morning. Sunny 🌞 hooray
Ampersand - what a long day for you, but glad the news was good. And then the long drive back home !
P Kitten - that sounds frightening. But great that the NHS sorted it so promptly. Hope you're continuing to improve.
Highdays - a lot of nuisance caused by such a small creature. There a fable/parable there somewhere!
Mhagster - fingers still crossed

A real OSP. Washing dried outside every day this week. Been struggling to reach two consecutive days this year.
DGS football team tournament yesterday. The weather was kind in the morning. Warm but with a bit of a breeze. We left at lunchtime as DH still tires easily. I'm glad really ( not that he tires, but that we left) as it went on until 5 pm. I would have been flagging by then! and DGS team didn't win anyway. PS do you think I'm too old to learn the offside rule?
The garden is beautifully lush and colourful. Though the bamboo we were sold as a non-spreading variety is galumphing everywhere since the rainy season. What we need is a panda.
Think today I'll wash the winter throws for the bed, which I've washed already this year, put away and then had to get out again. Or would that tempt fate?
Happy 🌞 day everyone6 -
Thank you, SuffolkSue, that's really helpful. Away until tomorrow night so will research and book hopefully on Tuesday. Had a quick skeggie yesterday, you really do live in a beautiful part of the country, very much looking forward to exploring x7

Pleasures for yesterday (Saturday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Went to bigger son's house to give him his barbecue back.
3) We went to B and Q for some cheap plants for him and I also bought rtc lilies and acquilegia. (spelling?)
4) I walked down to the local fete at about 2pm but it was unexciting. I had a cup of tea in the tent staffed by the Scouts.
5) Watched Casualty.
6) Phoned my school friend.
Today's update to follow.6 -
Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Porridge for breakfast.
3) Cleaned the bathroom. The shower seems to be made of 150 components with borders, edging and generally inaccessible places that are impossible to clean.
4) Went to M and S for a cup of tea with my friend this afternoon.
5) Spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning the kitchen. Anyone would think I was having a party on Tuesday! Did other bits of cleaning and tidying.
6) Had bagels for tea with guacamole and salmon.
7) Watched the Scotland match which was a bit sad and horrific watching one of the Hungarian players be stretchered off. It reminded me of when we watched Christian Eriksen and he had a cardiac arrest on the grass.

For yesterday,
Up early but very pleasant wandering around the garden, cuppa in hand.
Breakfast, the Archers omnibus and then the rest of the morning was spent reading in the garden. The idea of a roast dinner was shelved due to lack of interest ☺️Inside for the cricket, good performance and on England go.
Flurry of messages with youngest DN and arrangements made to visit next weekend, they have recently moved house and are already busy with renovations.
Watched the Scotland game too Frith and good on the BBC for cutting away when the main tv station showed the replay of such a horrendous incident.8 -
1 Hospital for a whooping cough blood test.
2 Dug out the air cons, only to find the car air con has literally just died also, talk about not so hidden costs, and the one we use downstairs is sounding like an aeroplane taking off, we will have to put up with it as now isn’t the time to be buying.
3 The antibiotics are having side effects, so I’m trying to make sure to eat properly, today is homemade, chickpea pasta and chicken salad with walnuts for dinner, should be enough left for lunch tomorrow also, just as well as I’ve used up all the fresh things barring mini tomato’s rolling around.
4 Clean bedding for us, various loads out on the line.
