1 We did a complete clear out of the add on animal area they have if they want it, everything out, run jet washed, and everything else jet washed, then rearranged and back in, it took the morning.
2 A rapid lunch then out over the bridge to C0stco as the car was desperate for fuel. While dh was filling up the car, the person waiting for us to finish filling got “weird” he was hooting, and then got out of the car huffing and puffing, approached DH who ignored him, he said nothing then went back to the car, I noticed the guy on the forecourt had an eye on what was going on, but it made me ponder on how you can literally be pondering about your normal life stuff, and people who are “irate” just happen, I mean we hadn’t done anything and they were that irate.
3 A few bits snaffled from C0stco
4 A couple of reduced items Chinese chops and tea cakes for 50p, I don’t mind if I do.

oh mhags i'm so sorry. that happened to us once in England but i thought it wasn't supposed to happen in Scotland
had a couple of very tuff days at work. today was much better
1) gbf picked me up from work yesterday - it was tipping with rain so that was lucky
2) very nice supper (thanks mum) then gbf dropped me off to watch the football (which was very boring but can't always be good and the company was good and it had stopped raining when we left)
3) drew the blackout blind and slept like a log till 9 this morning. must have needed it! followed by sunshine and coffee on the terrace
4) choir practice - music is probably my very favourite mse os pleasure
5) lying on the sofa eating chocolate and watching cardiac arrest and remembering i have tomorrow off

For yesterday,
As per previous it was a tough night on all as small dog struggled with a tummy problem which resulted in her needing a wee every half hour so I ended up downstairs on door patrol! Thank goodness for coffee & ready list as I wandered around the emporium in a daze first thing.
Home to a mess and oh there’s blood so an immediate call to the vets for an appointment. Message to friend asking if she can give equine girlie her daily meds for me.
Funny old day waiting to go, reading and yes, both sleeping and I managed to get a sample!
Finally at the vets, antibiotics handed over and further tests to be done.
Meanwhile Capt S popped out and grabbed us fish & chips for a midweek treat, sat and enjoyed the cricket before all heading to bed.

Lainey hugs for early morning toilet breaks on repeat, hope you hear soon from the vets,

Morning all 😊. MHags 🤞 for your house sale. Lainey, hope little dog is feeling better. Highdays, I hope your medications are working.
It’s like Autumn again here today, grey and blustery. I’m having a day at home, supposedly sorting and trying clothes on for the holiday (to see what fits!☹️) but I think watching tennis 🎾 might interfere with that! I’ve also got to sort out car insurance and other admin stuff ☹️
Went for a very nice pizza lunch at ZiZi with 2 friends on Tuesday to use up some Tesco rewards that were about to expire. I’ve also got some cinema ones, but I don’t think they will get used now.
Yesterday we had a 2.5 hour journey up the M1 to the Midlands to OHs friend’s funeral. He was only 59 so very sad. One of the pieces of music was Albatross and as it was playing a heron flew across the beautiful view from the chapel window, I found it very moving. The crematorium was beautiful and had lots of pretty flamingo salix trees which I have put on my “list” for new garden for when and if we move.Have a good Friday everyone, hopefully the weather will be a bit better 🌞7 -
Hello. Enjoying a cool breeze coming in the patio doors was a bit warm earlier on.
Up early. We were out walking by 4.40am. Just us. ( there are other 5am ish dog walkers)
Hairdressers at 8am which I think is a brilliant time to get your hair cut!
Quick home then went to a charity event that was being held where I’ve been working. Was nice. Had a good chatter with my mentor and met a lady I’d worked with in 1990! Brought a couple of wee cakes home.Had parked at town supermarket carpark so walked down staggered up . Got a dress in a charity shop for a wedding. Nipped in to M&S. popped into florist for some eucalyptus. Had a nice chat with the girls there.
i have met several people today…oh when are you moving. Can’t be long. In your new house yet? Eh no.Sister called to check in on me.Home. Hello doggy. That’s me in for the rest of the day. Sat in garden ‘reading’ my head kept almost snapping off my neck as I kept dozing off then jolting awake. Got too hot for me. So came in.
Pup was dropped off for a couple of hours.Finished another library book.
Had leftover lasagna for tea. DD2 gave me a wee tub of ice cream ( single scoop) so had that for pudding.
Friend just messaged to check in and thought I’d be angry…what’s the point? Won’t change anything.Just going to tidy up after dinner stuff then head upstairs. Got lots of stuff to catch up on.6 -
hope all well laineyt
what a wonderful day (took the day off) so excuse me for more than 5
1) an unrushed workout
2) a phone call from gbf
3) a super chat with former PhD student
4) confirmation friend's partner can look after former PhD student's dog and my two for graduation day - we're having a doggy date on Sunday with his and my two (former student lives in London so that'll have to wait)
5) 2 hours cleaning the house - put absolute 80s on and had an absolute blast
6) GWSE (12 of them) plus 7 guests (3 from uni) round for afternoon tea in the garden - the sun shone and we have 3 new members plus a rejoiner yay
7) one of them brought a lovely bunch of flowers cut from her garden and several brought choccies and a couple of bottles of prosecco
8) one (my very good friend from the deanery) stayed late and we had a fab catch-up
9) then mum and i watched hignfy
10) and now the bottles are in the bottle bank, the furniture is all back where it should be, the kitchen is clean and tidy and i'm watching cardiac arrest

For yesterday,
First and most importantly small dog is feeling better, no more crying when she has a pee bless her 🥹 and is enjoying her food & walks.
Her Mum had a busy morning in the kitchen, baking to fill the freezer and cake tins up. It was a rainy old day so perfect weather for it.
Over to see my pony, rain had stopped by then so we did a bit of groundwork where she was very woohoo in the gusty wind, as I said to my friend, glad I wasn’t sat on that! She was very affectionate though so had obviously missed me.
Easy tea, one of the quiches that I’d cooked earlier and beans of the baked variety.
Very cool for a late May evening so dug out long PJ’s and cosy cardie to sit around in.6 -
Hello. It’s been a beautiful day here.
Up early and out walking at 4.40am. Just us and the birds.
Went over to DD2…ostensibly to collect my power washer. But we ended up going to B &Q. She was getting fence paint. And I got RTC bedding plants. And also 20% off .
Then went to pop into estate agents which is in next town to where she lives so had a nice drive there. And went into supermarket there and I got a RTC pizza for my tea which I’m just going to pop in the oven.Dropped her off then back home. Hello doggy. Did a bit of work. Which is now completed.Sat in garden for a wee bit but got too warm ( it’s a total sun trap. ) so came in. Started a new library book. Then back out and planted the bedding plants in my old Belfast sinks. Took a what started as a wee Christmas table tree decoration and has grown to a bushy 3’ tall fir tree out and I’ve popped a post on local FB if anyone wants it. It’s free. Not quite decided if I’m going to hose tonight or tomorrow. Just a couple of wee spots that had pots on them that are marked. And seeing as I’m back up for sale I should make an effort! Was late getting a washing out but it’s probably dry.So I’ll probably eat my tea outside and read my book for a bit more.Hope you’re all having a nice weekend 😎8 -
I lost my post for the past few days, never mind.
1 A lot of prep from me prior to surgery, tidying up the kitchen and freezers, tidying up my clothes, washing bedding and putting bedding away, okay I’m not the neatest of people is the picture I get here…
2 Bagged up a fair amount of clothes to go to tip and loaded to car.
3 So many loads hung on the line now that the weather lets me.
4 Made a burger and hm chips for tea.
