3) got a list of all the whiskies for DrM (I'm all heart!)
4) mum made cullen skink for supper
5) found some lovely music on iPlayer
and now in bed catching up on HIGNFYMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

For yesterday,
We treated ourselves to breakfast out at the farm shop cafe and both had the same, snorkers bap and a large mug of coffee except Capt S also had a fried egg in his bap. Picked up a few bits at the butchers counter on the way out.
Changed the bed linen inc mattress protector as such a fine day to get stuff dry.
Over to see my pony, gave her a good brush and then we did some groundwork followed by a lovely walk in the sunshine.
Home, as DD says final day of the season for the Championship so we watched all the scores coming in and lovely to see the tractor boys back in the PL.
Binge watched the final 3 episodes of the The Twelve, we weren’t sure to start with but glad we persevered, very gripping.7 -

A busy weekend - as ever!
Pleasures for Friday
1. up early to drive to ICT - pulled on a pair of joggy bottoms and a sweatshirt, brushed my teeth and was good to go.
2. A good drive here
3. Was going to go for a swim on arrival but it was so foul and the house so cold, that i lit a fire, had a shower and barely left the house again all day except to nip over the road for food. Swimming can wait. House warmed up quickly
4. more marking
5. OH cooked a nice paella when he got back from his volunteering stint
and yesterday
1. Machynlleth comedy festival - it's become a tradition. FOur good acts (including Josh Widdicombe and James Acaster) and one 'meh'.
2. Good food and beer - though i think i'm a little 'off' beer
3. randomly ran into one of DD's school friends - who'd gone due to stuff we've posted on FB in the past 😯
4. The sun came out
5. Probably didn't eat enough so came back for cheese and biscuits. SLimming world taking a bit of a pasting.
enjoy the rest of your day.I wanna be in the room where it happens7 -
1) super duper service this morning - our choir leader who is a wonderful poet had written words for a new hymn and the pastoral musician had set it to music - a world premiere
2) coffee and cake and lovely chats after the service
3) really enjoying Radio 3 on a Sunday - private passions followed by music map
4) then the woozle walk with mum and the boys
5) Liverpool Spurs with MrG and DrM - very exciting match
and back home for beef stir fry and the last episode of beyond paradise. I have 8 candles lit and the boys are sleeping at my feet.MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Got the Sunday evening blues! I tried to explain this to my friend today (from the Middle East). How, as children, nothing was open on Sundays then you did homework and started feeling miserable about going to school on Monday!
Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) A very long sleep indeed. Probably 10 hours.
2) Pottered around in the morning and had a banana and Nutella toastie.
3) My friend phoned so went into town then took him to M and S cafe for a pot of tea. Our other friend works there and it was like a gathering of the clans. She was so excited to see him I did consider having a little cry! He was still funny and chatty but the Rwanda scheme is ruining everyone now. No one wants to go to sign their asylum bail in case they are put into vans and are never seen again.
4) Back home and did some gardening, mainly pulling up mares tails.
5) Changed the furniture round in the dining room. (Such as it is. Moving from a house where the floor plan was 10 feet x 18 to a normal sized house means the dining room has a small, square table and an old butchers block and nothing else). Anyway, I moved the table to the other side so you can see down the garden now. MrU and I spent so much time at the table, playing chess etc, that I still felt there was "my" chair and "his chair" so it was good to have a move around.
6) A tasty tea of pheasant casserole (lots of pheasant in the freezer) with a garlic bread that I made from a baguette from the freezer. Then I made chocolate fairy cakes.
7) Watching Race Across the World now.6 -
Hello. Late to bed for me!
Up early and a lovely walk. Just us and the birds. Apparently it’s been National dawn chorus day! Well I enjoyed the dawn chorus. When there’s hardly any cars and just my footsteps it’s so nice and quiet.
Then home and actually haven’t done any of the things I was going to! So sat and watched a really good Australian drama series and then caught up on Australian Masterchef. Then it was time to get ready and go out for dinner. The Chap’s parents are up to stay for long weekend so we all went to next big town for dinner at a lovely pizzeria. But just a bit late for me eating. Had a very nice pizza with wild mushrooms, mozzarella, prosciutto and rocket. Mushrooms were delicious!Laughter and chatter and dinner was kindly paid for although I did offer my share!7 -
1 So far, a weekend of various de cluttering and tidying over both days.
2 I was very nearly scammed with dh’s main present via amazon, thankfully I was savvy enough, it’s now coming from somewhere else but not arriving until his birthday literally no stress.
3 I dug out the bits and pieces so far for DH’s bday and wrapped them up.
4 Lentil pasta with meatballs for dinner.
5 Watching the Ghost Boy Detectives on Netflix

Morning all
Pleasures for yesterday
1. a walk in the hills - at least a little bit. Was nice to be up a hill again, it's been a while.
2. Friends had noticed our weight loss which made us feel good.
3. we went to a duck race! No phone call so we assume we didn't win (1,000 ducks over 10 heats with the top 10 from each meeting in a grand finale so not much chance). Ne'er mind, all in a good cause
4. back to tidy the garden a bit after a late lunch.
5. out for curry in the evening.
A nice day. Happy bank holiday all.I wanna be in the room where it happens5 -
Morning all
Woke up to fog yesterday but it then turned to glorious sunshine ☀️. OH was working and friend rang to see if I wanted a walk at nearest lake in local country park. I said yes and hurried to get ready. She picked me up and we parked as near as we could as neither of us can walk too far now. Anyway we did it, her with a walking stick and me with my two walking poles 🤣. It was lovely, very warm in the sun and we saw cooties and goslings which always make my day. The sky was a beautiful blue.
Back to grey skies today and cooler, rain expected later. Forecast looks better for coming week. OH at work and I’m still in bed on here. Listened to my audiobook for about 2 hours as well .
have a good bank holiday Monday whatever you are doing 😊5 -
For yesterday,
Up first and an early morning wander around the garden with a cup of tea in hand, the alliums are now in flower and the rock rose looks lovely.
Breakfast then over to see horse, tidied up her mane and tail while she dozed in the sunshine.
Driving home through country lanes and three hares were on the road in front of me, long legged beauties.
Pork Dijon for lunch, followed by Pasteis de Nata with lemon cream followed by much lounging around on sofa!
Evening walk, cool out of the sun but only cardi not coat cool.
