Hello all, been AWOL again - must try harder
pleasures recently
1. had i hedge laid last time? can't remember. Anyhoo, i was fire wallah, which was fun but hard work, smoky and muddy.
2. work was worked. Was kn@ckered on Monday and it showed. Bonus Thursday session (cos i'd had to miss one due to having COVID) went better
3. making inroads into the marking - finally
4. watching One Day - want to know the end but don't want to get to the end
5. CBSO with OH - fabulous programme. 'Nimrod' was emotional.
have a great evening all.I wanna be in the room where it happens10 -
1 Changed our bedding, ferret bedding, relevant wash loads, deep clean run through the washing machine and mopped up the floors, a pleasure it’s done.
2 A grilled chop and tomato, with a side of Rana pasta in a cheese sauce with veg in.
3 Dug out some clothes to wear to a funeral, used to be work clothes, just a velvet black skirt and black rollneck top, to check if they a fit and b need refreshing with a wash.
4 Friends received their little gift it arrived early, and they were overwhelmed, so pleased.
5 Watching Freddo and Fizz find their feet, exploring around the garden, and last night they found their way up the stairs to the bedroom.
6 An amazing view of the very nearly full moon from the sofa.

Lovely pictures Paulie.
For yesterday,
We had some sunshine which was very much welcome, everywhere is so wet.
Into Uni City for a haircut, half term so traffic was light and sailed in so took the chance to have a walk around the backstreets near hairdressers.
Long chat with lovely hairdresser and put the world to rights.
Over to see my horse in the afternoon, she had been out all day and was happier for it.
The treat of a payday takeaway and watching the old TOTP’s7 -

Just waiting as my dinner cooks. Having a mince round ( or a part of one!) mashed RTC potatoes, RTC corn on the cob, RTC green beans and still using 15p carrots! The joy of just having finished my library book whilst sitting at my big window in daylight at 5pm.Early schmearly.Popped heating on this morning.Texts back and forth with DD1 who’s safely back from international travels!Been a nice bright day ( cold)
Bird song! And little sparrows splashing in puddles having baths! Seemed to be the day for it!Yet another Vinted parcel sold ( my heart may have slightly sank at the thought of going back up to the shop and especially as it was a parcel worth a whole pound!) But I enjoyed the walk, the very fresh air, the spring flowers in garden, the first blossom I’ve seen on a tree, the bathing sparrows. And it’s an extra pound!Home and dog cuddles on the sofa and finished my book I started yesterday.9 -
1 Not very mse at all I popped into aldi for their sweetcorn offer, and ended up spending £27, a couple of things were 50 percent off including abidec which we use for the ferrets, and some chicken fillets. But then there was a toy, and a pet well baby but now pet fleece, you get the jist.
2 I never thought the day would come but DH fancies trying chai and flax seeds in porridge, I picked my jaw up and happily agreed.
3 Picked up our prescriptions, and our diabetic cherry jam.
4 It seems the mouse is using ultra sonics as a disco it’s not worked in the green house, not sure what plan b is yet.

Hello.
Just popping in quicly.
Recent pleasures:
1) The sunshine after the rain....
2) Long walk and chat with my boy, both appreciated.
3) Meals made from bits and bobs in the freezer - delicious but can never be repeated.
4) Some decisions made re hubby's pensions, both agree the right decisions have been made.
5) Still playing a waiting game re loved one's medical appointments but they are starting to come through now.
Hope you are enjoying the weekend.7 -
For yesterday,
Bit of a lie-in followed by boiled egg & marmite soldiers for breakfast.
Cold day but lots of bright sunshine, washed my thick yard coat and got it dried on the line. Made a loaf of bread.
Looks like the bulk of my daffodils will be in flower next week while we are away, typical! but the crocus are coming out too plus mystery bulbs where I have forgotten what I planted.
Spent all of the afternoon with my equine pal as won’t see her now until next Saturday, bit of work done in the sun but she was Woohoo with spring feelings and not really concentrating. Chatting with friends and having a laugh, the yard manager works hard to make sure that there is a nice atmosphere with none of the nastiness that can infiltrate a communal yard, it’s a happy place to be.
Home, very hungry so had a pear & cheese to tide me over until teatime, watched and enjoyed the last episode in this series of Julia, 🤞they make another as so enjoyable.5 -
Morning all
Pleasures for Friday
1. More marking inroads
2. A walk through the cemetery to the post box in the hope that my sister's birthday card gets to her in time - thank goodness we long ago abandoned presents
3. a mouthful of gin, then - "Can you pick me up from the station". Only one mouthful is fine, so gin had to wait.
4. watched some old TOTPs also, but had to turn them off - far too 'dancey' for me
5. DD found herself a bit stranded in Rugby so OH to the rescue as he hadn't had gin (or anything else).
and yesterday
1. Up early and an episode of 'One Day' - only two more to go.
2. then the train to essex for my friend's 60th birthday 'tea party'. thank goodness for free train travel as it was a loooong way. reading and doing puzzles and duolingo to pass the time
3. lovely tea party, catching up with old friends and it's been too long.
4. was v. good with the cake. Much better than i might have been. a healthy 'poke' bowl on the train home.
5. my 'lift' was asleep when i arrived at the station - so i dragged him out and had to wait 15 minutes for him. Finally, my bed with a HWB.
A good day.
have a great one yourselvesI wanna be in the room where it happens5 -
Hello.
early schmearly
we were at the beach at about 7.15am. Beautiful sunrise. Lovely walk. Tide way out. Just us.
got petrol on the way home…price seems to be climbing again.
did a bit of tidying outside at front porch.Started a new library book this afternoon. Hopefully get it finished by library time tomorrow.
It’s been such a lovely bright day although cold.Had leftover mince round with RTC corn on the cob, boiled potatoes ( for a change) and carrots. My niece in law is going to take some of my mum’s wedding china. I won’t use it ( have lots of other sets!) so I wrapped that up for her as we’ll see them in a few weeks.Put another set I’d got in a charity shop a couple of years ago on marketplace. If it doesn’t sell I’ll redonate. Trying to declutter! And a tale of two different reviews on Vinted. Both bought coats from me, both offered a lower price which I accepted and both were sent off promptly:
first one left me four stars ( out of a possible five…and I’ve always had a five 😆) ok, no comms from seller though…)not sure what I was supposed to communicate ( which I assume that means )
second one. Beautiful coat as described. Super fast postage by seller.sent off within an hour of purchase. Amazing!I much prefer the second one! It’s nice to be nice I think so I suggested the first seller have a lovely day and hope they enjoy wearing their new coat!Anyway lots of stuff gone from my wardrobe that was unworn and taking up wardrobe space and mental space too!Beautiful sunset…that I can just see. New houses going up in the nearby field. So no more pretty views!5
