For yesterday,
Batch of rolls made first thing and a container of soup dug out of freezer.
Wet and miserable day so horses were being kept in, went over to find her happy enough, munching on hay. Long groom then we listened to a podcast while the rain drummed on the roof of the barn.
Home, cold & hungry so warm lunch much appreciated.
Small dog had her first hydrotherapy session at very posh facility on the outskirts of horsey town, glad insurance are paying! All went well, was sent a video and provided with physio exercises to do at home.Parcel of books had arrived from WOB, ready for our week away in the PD.9 -
Frith said:7) We have played chess and are still listening to songs on YouTube.
For Wednesday
1) visit to dental hospital to check on tooth removal from November - all is well (though there are some shadows on the xray so she is sure we'll meet again, sigh) - I also have not only teeth still in the gum but also some teeth higher up that aren't official teeth. Oh well, so far tis the only bit of my health that has let me down, and it is so good living so close to such a wonderful dental hospital
2) lunch was lo stir fry (the one with ys veg and the last of the christmas turkey from the freezer) - someone told me of the staff room on level 3 so ate there - someone else had left 'help yourself' pile of chocolates but am on week 2 of slimming world and really really do want to get to target by my hols
3) had also taken flask half filled with milk and some tea bags - last of milk used for flask of coffee to take to
4) Uni entrepreneurship week talk from Sheli McCoy, aka Sabre in Gladiators (a programme I admit that has passed me by) - talk very good, drinks reception after but no food (last year there was food and so much lo i remember packing my tupperware with cherry tomatoes and feta that were going to be thrown) so had to go to uni shop but all good as very nice ys prawn and salad sarnie which I ate on the way to
5) the footie with Mr G and Dr M - Arsenal rather frustrating as they stuck to the same game plan despite it being obvious it wasn't working. And of course Luton, having led 0-1 at half time were thumped 4-1 by Liverpool. Apart from that a good night.

Hello. Just waiting on pup getting collected then I’ll be heading bedwards.
Up early. The joy at daylight peeking through at 7am. Left house about 7.45am to go to the beach. Nice walk. Blooming fresh!Met niece and great nephew at supermarket cafe. Sausage sandwich and a chatter and some laughter. We both got very RTC flowers. £18.00 reduced to £1.80. And I got another two bunches of chrysanthemum and one of cream roses at 35p each! Thank you!Lovely bright and dry drive home. Considering that at 6.30am it was absolutely lashing with rain and when I went out to sort car for dog going in it looked like a load of snow on the windscreen. Neighbour said it had been a really heavy hail storm. Must have been on when I was in the shower. Then had three parcels to take to be posted for Vinted and now have another one to go tomorrow…not much left to go!Popped in to old work for some paint, and had a nice chatter, then came home and painted skirting and door frame in downstairs loo.
Made RTC chicken Kyiv and cauliflower cheese for tea with carrots and RTC green beans. I’m still using my 15p carrots from NY . Was all very nice.
Then a pup was dropped off as DD2 has hairdressers. I hope she’s home soon!
nice to see blue sky today though it’s been a cold wind.9 -
1 Thankful for online card places which also meant I spent a little on a teddy, hoping they get it right, if they do, she’ll be tickled pink, as I don’t think we’ll make it to a card shop.
2 We had to cave and pick some bits up Lidl was at just the right time, vastly reduced cook in the bag chicken, Cumberland’s, chipolatas, chicken breasts, ohh and some valentines' dessert reduced to 99p and 60 percent off stuffed strawberry pavlovas, snaffled to the fridge I am sure we can manage them in the next couple of days.
3 All the animal bedding is clean.
4 Dinner was grilled sausages and tomatoes with a poached egg,
5 Enjoying watching new to us series.

Good morning. And the rain has gone! Actual sunshine here!
Exactly 43 years ago today it was snowing. I saw it from the maternity ward. DD birthday today!
And so last night we went out out to celebrate. We went to the hotel where their wedding is to be, with DD, fiance and fiance's parents. A good time was had by all and the food was delicious. Bodes well for the wedding.
Think our house is reaching its sell by date. Last week a new aerial. This week a new fridge! Our current one has decided it's a freezer and the back plate keeps getting covered in thick ice. So a new one coming on Saturday. But this one is 20 years old ( like the aerial was!) so not too bad I suppose
DD has asked me to choose a poem to be read at their weddr. What a lovely job that is. I love poetry and have already found about half a dozen so she can choose one. I'll let you know her final choice.
And another meal out today! Lunch with some friends we met on holiday in Scotland about 6 years ago. They live about 15 miles away but we've not seen them since before Christmas so there will be lots to discuss.
Happy 🌞 day everyone.

For yesterday,
Another wet day with biblical amounts of rain falling, quick trip into horsey town for a few necessities.
Then over to the yard, girlie was in again and despondent in her stable so I braved the rain and took her for a leg stretch in-hand, we both got wet but neither of us will shrink and I enjoyed seeing her sniffing the air & kicking up her heels.
Popped a fleece rug on to dry her off while her Mum warmed up with a cuppa in the kitchen.
Home and tbh didn’t move far all afternoon, started my new book and snuggled with small dog. We did do her exercises as recommended by the physio.
Tasty tea of lentil & mushroom bake then we played Yahtzee until bedtime.8 -
& absolutely echoes Lainey's 'Another wet day with biblical amounts of rain falling'.....as it has been for several now.
1.But, parked outside a small en route village co-op, & has connectivity!.....in a freezing vehicle, which is still being sluiced.🥴
2. Fed feathered ones on the swirly, filthy, muddy Cam earlier in icy, biting wind. Ignore & yap, for old school friends.
3. The perfect cs £1 ring binder, unused, now filled with over a hundred vintage crochet+knitting patterns, most saved from flooding.
4. Oil change and right headlight sorted, paid😬. Doblo is stardust. May head to 3rd XV playing at Fakenham tmrw, 14h, our sole match. On verra. 6 Nations to follow, prob. back in The Alma.👏💓, although & is alcohol and chocolate free during Lent. Mother Julian time: 'All will be well.....' etc.
5. A set each of Henry Marsh's 3 titles, 'Do No Harm', 'Admissions', 'And Finally...' delivered to the brothers who've kept me Doblo'd, thinking of their equally remarkable papa.
5. What a wild and windy training night was yesterday! Munch served to the dear Seniors, leftovers taken to Jimmy's and empty containers picked up this arvo.

Hello. Bedtime with an almost full moon out my bedroom window.Early Schmearly
Rain! Plans has been made for dry! So we went to the castle anyway…and got wet as it decided to pour. And I in my wisdom ( which turned out not to be very wise) drove the opposite direction cross country home as has another blooming Vinted parcel to drop off. Road was windy and full of pot holes and it was lashing with rain. Bah!Eventually home ( having met friend in supermarket carpark and stood chatting in the rain! ) phone call to say pup already dropped off.
Was so blooming cold. So lit the fire and used up all the dross from the bottom of the log bag which burned really well.Call to sister.
Call to friend.
Started a library book.
Sold another Vinted item so big coat on and walked up to shop and walked longer way home. Sun was shining by this point but such a biting cold wind.
Home and made a curry for tea.DD2 picked up her dog boy.
Sat and read a bit more in front of fire then filled my hot water bottles.8 -
Sunny but windy visit to my friend’s beach hut at Holland on Sea today. Beautiful skies and lovely to be next to the sea. Other friend who has just moved to Frinton joined us and we bought fish n chips and went back to her bungalow. She is absolutely loving living there. It lashed down with rain on the way home and no fun driving in the dark and rain on the M11. Still, arrived home safely and had a lovely day. Lots more visits to look forward to in the spring and summer. Lovely moon tonight. Now tucked up in bed with heat pad on as feeling rather tired.
night all 💤💤
