Awake since silly o’clock this morning. Out for a quick doggy walk at 4.30am! Just us and the birds.Had some work to do.Had an online course to do. Oooft. The speaker spoke for 2 hours! We weren’t allowed to speak ( could message) so it was quite full on!Washing out about half dry.Started a book and finished it! I love reading in my extension room. I read until the light fades. Was a beautiful sunset.
Had sausages on sourdough toast.
Not a pleasure …Thump thump of fireworks…not too loud tonight more in surrounding streets…no doubt next door will do them tomorrow which is more annoying for dog.8 -
Morning
Difficult to find pleasures for yesterday, a long day at work and limited contact with a loved one has made me struggle to relax and found it difficult to sleep . Back to work today but maybe a better day
1. Some cat cuddles on the sofa
2. Started to watch the NYAD programme, have read the book and enjoyed what I saw
3. Steak and chips for tea
4. Did I mention my new hot water bottle yesterday
5. I may need to bank this one
I hope that its a drier day for you all today and you get a chance to stop and smile6 -
For yesterday,
A decent nights sleep in fresh bedding.
The treat of breakfast out, we needed a few bits from the local farm shop so went to the cafe there, I had snorkers in a bap and Capt S had the same except he added a fried egg too!
Watched a bit of the cricket but heart not really in it so read my book instead, it’s a fictional account of William Marshall’s pilgrimage in the 12thC.
As always time spent with the beautiful grey one, no work today, just a long groom whilst she enjoyed a hay net then watched my friend work hers, very bouncy as they often are this time of year.
Then it was nearly dark so home to warm up and heat up some of the pasta for tea, love a cook once, eat twice kind of meal.6 -
Last few days
1 wine group ,always a pleasure
2 my Gardner managed to come on a dry day ,grass cut and general tidy ,one more visit should put it to bed for the winter
3 coffee out with friends
4 very hard quiz last night we were amazed to come 4th out of 15 teams ( so everyone struggled ) but good to stretch the brain .
and the biggest pleasure of all
5 The new pain regime is definitely helping and whilst still in pain it is nowhere near the levels of the previous week
I can think straight, function and there is enjoyment again .7 -
Hello. Just got dark and the booms and bangs have started already. Sigh!Anyway up until now it’s been a lovely day.
Up again at silly o’clock so we had a quick walk at 4.30am. I don’t go far just enough for a sniff and to do business ( the dog 😆)
Oh my goodness then I’d dozed off whilst sitting upright in bed reading and had such a weird dream. Then I wasted an hour and a half of my life watching the most rubbish film on Netflix…supposed number one film! What a load of rubbish!
Then we went up to our castle. It was the most beautiful morning . It really is my happy place. And the colours of the trees and the crunching of the leaves. And the birds. And just all of it really. Then home and cleaned inside of car. Then went round to friends for a chatter. And then walked to supermarket, dropped off three books in charity bookshelves.Walked home the very long way. Met a friend out with her dogs for a walk so stood and chatted. Started to rain as I was on the home straightHello doggy.I cleaned my bathroom…at last! Not that it’s ever in a state as it’s just me but been on to do list!Had mince pie, potatoes RTC, cabbage, carrots RTC and broccoli for tea.7 -
Hello.
Very quickly as it's not long since I was here last! Mainly to say very pleased, SuffolkSue, that you are in a lot less pain and life has become a bit more pleasureable as a result. Pain is so delilitating and exhausting it leaves little room for anything else.
Brief pleasures for today:
1) A lovely evening to celebrate grandson's birthday, enjoyed by all.
2) A lie in and a quiet day, I can party with the best of them but these days take longer to recover!
3) Some good books in my stash so a nice afternoon reading and napping.
4) An hour in my summerhouse pottering but I got cold so that really is it for this year. Will pack it up this week and continue my hobbies indoors for the winter months.
5) Little grandson is always hot and doesn't like clothes so is currently sat next to me on hubby's laptop in just his boxers. Felt him and he is lovely and warm, like a little radiator, my cold hands just make him giggle!
Leftovers for tea so nice and easy, and a day out to look forward to tomorrow.
Hope the fireworks don't go on too late tonight and all pets are ok.8 -
1 Cleaned the oven, washing machine, fridge etc, a pleasure when done.
2 Might have made some mince pies.
3 There's hm pizza for tea.
4 Animal food and meds ordered up
5 Watching a few vintage films.
For today
1 Bacon sarnie our Sunday traditional brekkie,
2 Broken laptop picked up from us this morning for either fix or refund under guarantee.
3 Tidied up some clothes, threw some bits out. I’ve also sorted 2 boxes of winter things that will be moved on after winter.
4 Oven cooked fish and chips is dinner.
