Looks fab PaulieH
For yesterday,
Up early and out with small dog, weather mild and birds singing.
Archers omnibus on radio whilst watching cricket with tv on silent!
In the garden, lots of spring bulbs planted while Capt S dug out new border for recently purchased shrub roses. Moved a couple of lavender plants around. Pickings for lunch were carrots & kale plus more tomatoes, with the warm weather forecasted for next few days am hoping that they keep going.Late lunch of roast pork followed by Eves Pudding as friend had gifted me with some cooking apples, not a sniff of one on our tree this year.
Am enjoying my latest book about William Marshall who was a knight during the Plantagenet period.7 -

Hello.
Up early as usual.
Went into town.Dropped off two bags to charity shop. Quick nip to M&S. Popped into favourite coffee shop in town. Been ages! Nice chat with owner. Used to work for them many years ago.Home…hello doggy, I wasn’t out too long was I?Funny kind of day weather wise. Dry in a damp kind of way and oddly mild/warm ish. Washing out then a mercy dash to bring it in when I saw someone walking past with an umbrella up!Hurrah! Finally got the mobile library! Nice chat with the chap…he’s like it’s been a while, turns out it’s been 3 years but I’m all renewed and refreshed in the system. Borrowed three books then took 2 free books that were on a clearance shelf. Oh and I got 100 dog poo bags! Hurrah! That’s a great service. Could also get free hearing aid batteries if I needed them!Home, fed the dog and texted friend. Are you home? Yes she was so had a nice walk round to hers, a lovely blether for an hour and half and then a nice walk back home again! My watch suggesting as I was leaving her house that I should run for 20 minutes! Oh how we both laughed…she was a runner and I’m just absolutely not 😆7 -
Evening all
Pleasures for yesterday
1. DS got away safely on his hols. Made me laugh with rude texts when on his journey
2. gave the lounge a spring clean - literally every other room to go.
3. did a bit of tidying in the garden
4. made a beef in beer casserole and had some for tea. The rest went in the freezer
5. watched some telly
have a great evening all.I wanna be in the room where it happens8 -
A bit of a cheat, these are from today and Sunday.
1 Cooked up a roast pork joint, rescued from the very bottom of the freezer, has had slight freezer burn so will see how it cooks up, the house smells amazing as it cooks through, served with various veg, apple sauce of course, but no potatoes so oven chips. Worst part of this is I couldn’t eat most of it.
2 A very lazy Sunday watched a couple of non-gore Halloween movies on Netflix.
3 I went through the sunflower heads and snapdragon pods and bagged up the seeds for next year.
4 Swapped the ferret bedding out for clean bedding and all the rest drying on the line.
5 Ignored my want for bad food and cooked fish served with veg from the freezer for tonight.
6 I have been property hunting, and the latest one I found was grade 2 listed which was a no, but everything about it was right, until it was updated with the outbuildings have very recently- burnt to the ground, so you would have to pay permissions and rebuild, err no thank you.

Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Up early for the delivery of the kitchen components. The men who delivered it (huge truck) scarcely gave me a by your leave, but I presume it is all here and intact.
3) Took the curtain pole which came with the brackets missing back to Dunelm and swapped for another.
4) Went to Halfords for a huge cardboard box (the bikes are delivered in them) so I can block the window tonight now we have taken the curtains down.
5) Went round the charity shops but bought nothing.
6) Lunch at the museum.
7) English class during the afternoon.
8) My brother came here while I was at English and moved the kitchen cupboard and work surface into the garage where it will make useful storage. He also took the pelmet and curtains down in my room.
9) I spent 3.5 hours sanding the walls (small electric sander) in my room. Pleasure is that it is done now, ready for painting! It took an hour to hoover and clean up and I shall sleep in the spare room tonight and have another go at dusting and hoovering in the morning.
10) Smaller son and I went to Sainsburys.
11) Just did my Arabic for today.9 -
Pleasures for today
1. Ds2 op went ahead, they said it has gone ok.
2. Understanding staff at the hospital when I burst into tears as Ds2 was rude & grumpy to me.
3. Finished nights at 4am then home & up to hospital- managed a nap in the car at hospital car park whilst ds2 in theatre - 5 hours.
4. Good friends who understand, a new friend offered to walk my dog tomorrow so I can rest.
5. Home and in bed ready to sleep10 -
@Frith - I don't know if it will help you with your Arabic, but the Anaheim Public Library (in California) has Arabic young people's books (6 of them) on line. And residents of other countries may sign up for APL online services by visiting anaheim.net/librarycard and then selecting the link for Online Services Card Application for international residents. So you can check them out free.

Good morning. Gosh, it's dark in a morning now!
Topsy T - hope DS is a bit less cross now his operation has gone well. It's so hard for you both. Pleased that you have some support from friends.
Well, our forecast heatwave weekend didn't materialise until Monday. But then it was glorious. And at least we didn't have the dreadful rain.
DH went for immunotherapy again yesterday. 2 down, 4 to go and so far no nasty side effects. Minor problems but manageable. Very efficient service too. In and out in half an hour. NHS at its best.
An unwanted side effect of his diagnosis and treatment is that I've put weight on!. I know it's not all about me, but still I'm comfort eating! Chocolate is my support and friend! I'm promising myself to get a grip as soon as we're on an even keel. Promise!
Now I've read all Louise Penny ( most of them twice) I'm stuck! Any suggestions? I like Elly Griffiths but I've read all her Ruth Galloway ones and not too keen on the Brighton ones. Mo Hayder is too gory/ graphic for me. Any ideas gratefully received.
Looks like being savoury mince and mash for tea. DH comfort food !
Happy Tuesday everyone.

10 rounds of 10 questions,it’s actually quite difficult to balance easy and hard questions, have pointed out before ,that if you know the answer then it’s an easy one but if you don’t ….Hopefully it will be well received
