Hello. Dark o’clock .Up early.Filled the car up with stuff for the tip. The wee lean to greenhouse that I got for free from a friend had blown over yesterday and broke so that went to. Nice chap at the tip helped me empty the car.
Puppy here for the day. He was literally my constant companion. Toilet…hello. Sink doing dishes. At my feet.A few more things put up for free collection. All claimed.Nice walk with puppy , home just before the rain.Chatted to sister on phone.
made pasta for tea using up bits and pieces in the fridge.Dropped off something to a friend. Are you coming in? Well just for 5 minutes…left 30 minutes later but nice to have a catch up!7 -
Pleasures for today (Thursday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) My friend has gone to the doctors (after a couple of weeks of putting it off) and has had to go back today, so they are taking it seriously.
3) 5 hours in the kitchen today. Sanded down all yesterday's mends (horrible job) then did the first layer of paint. All the kitchen floor has been pulled up now. A good clean up afterwards.
4) Went to Ikea with smaller son. Didn't buy anything.
5) Spent an hour in the garden, pruning things at the far end (impossible to tell where the garden ends and the woodland begins).
6) Watched Ambulance.6 -

1 The doctors wound me up with more tests and bp things requested this morning, so I was determined that we beat our moods we went out today, over to Dungeness, an area that relaxes me, in fact just the coast is relaxing.
2 We had fish and chips.
3 And parked and watched some storms come across the sea.
4 Before taking the back roads home again.
5 Moods completely lifted, a lovely welcome back and a bowl of fresh fruit

For yesterday,
A trip to BuryStEds first thing as had to take a couple of tees that I’d ordered for Capt S back to Mr Sparks, their sizing is so inconsistent these days that two identical garments had two inches difference across the chest! Anyway, all sorted and picked up some of my favourite socks from the table condiment shop. Saw a beautiful, short wool coat that I was very tempted by but big money so come away to think about it!
On to the yard, sat on a mounting block in the school and watched my pal ride her horse, she is a fab dressage rider and very knowledgeable but like me can suffer from nerves so we are each other’s support system.
Capt S came home for lunch and we had a catch up.
Small dog’s monthly visit to the vet for injection and check up, slight increase to pain medication but she is doing ok. She knows that he has a jar with treats in and barks once when finished to make sure he doesn’t forget she’s been a good girl ☺️Easy tea of baked mackerel with SF veg & noodles.6 -

Pleasures for today (Friday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Went to the coffee morning at the local theatre but couldn't stop long.
3) Walked into town (2 miles) and had lunch with my mum.
4) Stopped at M and S (it was raining so much) and had a pot of tea and did some Arabic.
5) Walked home again (still raining) and my brother was here and took the worst of the strip lights in the kitchen down for me. It was so complicated that we now just have a lamp on the work surface until I can work out what is going on with the circuit!
6) Lots of WhatsApp messages from different people, all very jolly and in the main firming up arrangements for tomorrow.
7) Next doors left us a box of chocolate for feeding the cat - even though he belongs to no one!
8) Our road has been completely resurfaced. It is now immaculate (not that it was particularly bad before).
9) Nothing to do this evening except watch television.8 -
Me again! Pleasures for today (Saturday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Went to Park Run first thing.
3) Stopped on the way back to help someone with some paperwork.
4) M and S for a pot of tea and to do some Arabic.
5) Went to watch 2 friends play football this afternoon. One was subbed off early (don't know why) and it was a 2-0 loss. Beautiful weather, though and I took a flask.
6) Made toad in the hole for tea, with peas.
7) Smaller son wanted to go to Sainsburys, so we did.
8) Bigger son cycled 105 miles today (I follow him on Strava).
No Casualty on tonight so I don't know what to do now! Can't do any filling or painting in the kitchen as we have no lights in there.
