Ha, that’s great DD and yes, we are enjoying that series too.
For yesterday,
Another early start but not a bad morning and oh, that first cuppa of the day.
Usual Sunday morning routine, bacon butties etc.
In the garden, am still feeding my tomatoes in the hope that some of them may still turn red! Dead headed pelargoniums, admired yellow honeysuckle which is flowering again and potted up 3 more strawberry runners.
Roast chicken lunch, followed by lemon tart, followed by much lolling about on the sofas.
Bit of rain around 5 but donned waterproofs & wellies for walk around field. Beautiful rainbow.7 -
Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Met my sister at Sainsburys cafe first thing for a cup of tea.
3) Went to the local shopping centre for a much needed hair cut then had my eyebrows threaded.
4) Did some Arabic in M and S cafe.
5) English lesson this afternoon and I was able to tell a new person what sporting activities are available locally.
6) Home again and I cut the little square of lawn at the front, weeded the borders around it and planted 6 new plants.8 -
A very tired DD crawling into bed.
1) A quiet morning - DD2's last night shift while based here (it's all remote) - woke her with a cuppa at midday then
2) packing - I did a lot of steps! she and gbf picked up the van at 4 - larger than she'd booked
3) 8pm as the first drops of rain landed we put the last thing in
4) then supper - she finished last night's curry and we had borlotti beans and bacon casserole
5) quick trip up the law to see if we could see the northern lights - we couldn't but was very busy up there - and now to bed zzzzzzzzMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

For yesterday,
Bright and breezy day with a definite autumnal feel to it.
At the yard and girlie was worked in the school, she was a tad spooky with all the leaves falling around her and pigeons flying about but worked well so deserved her apple.
Text messages with pals and arrangements made to see each other this week.
Risotto for tea, something soothing about all that ladling and stirring.
Uni Challenge to test little grey cells, Capt S was pleased with the football & cricket questions.

Good morning. I’m a bit late getting going this morning. Felt rather unwell through the night. Nauseous but think due to catarrh due to a mini cold thing I have after my flu jag ( could be totally unrelated) and what was mild labyrinthitis yesterday is kind of full blown this morning.Monday :
Main pleasure no work! But my week days are still out of kilter 😆
Quick doggy walk and supermarket run done.Hello puppy! Im on puppy duty next two weeks.Rain dried up and was a bright afternoon.Had a nice pup walk. I can’t walk the two together.
DD2 came to collect her boy and had her tea here. Made mince and potatoes and veggies ( same again for tonight as it’s easy)
Went to bed early as felt a bit yuk7 -
Mhags, your artwork is a million times better than mine, and so thoughtful for DD.
I’m going to have to try the "this is based on a pack of lies" series by the sound of it.
I can’t believe I haven’t posted it wasn’t intentional, but it’s been a bit hard to look on the bright side, I have been getting fed up, I’ve been for more tests Monday this time my heart which I don’t have a problem with, and completely normal didn’t expect it not to be all a box ticking exercise. And the docs continuing with their your bp is a bit high is to be expected, thoroughly dejected with them. Told them so on form and now have a specific bp specialist apt next Tues.
1 Pilates was hard but good.
2 Love the welcome home from the animals.
3 It must be autumn as we had tomato soup for lunch, dinner is rice and greens with a stuffed with pepper chicken fillet.
4 All the ferrets nails cut and their beauty maintained 😊
5 A pleasant surprise to absolutely love the film, the life of David Copperfield.

Briefly pausing en route to Peacock HQ.
Things to drop off to young rugby friends too, and essential discussion.
1. Brought laundry in before biblical flooding. Managed to get adapted Doblo, with low boxy fuel tank, through it.
2. Two good meetings last night, including new young 1st XV kiwi Peacock, techie savant and fully primed. We should have the Previews up and running properly again, starting this week.
3. Two of them, just arrived. Hawkeye the Magpie and C'mon the Bay! at every Ranfurly Shield match. As for Roland Lavin, never heard of him:
"Hawkeyeus Ontrailerus | I'm a Hawkeye Guy" https://piccoloattic.wixsite.com/imahawkeyeguy/hawkeyeus-ontrailerus-1
& was stationed at 2ZC/2ZD then and thought the words were hers!
Ah well....
4. Comfier temps and conditions for senior squad training tonight. Munch-serving follows and happy banter.
5. Lightbulb prices are now bonkers.& bought 50-ish, LED, 4-5 years ago, when printing errors on pkg'g saw them all reduced to 28p at MrT, a fond and distant memory now. Need has arisen. Chasing some, around £1.80-£2 each ce soir.

Some wonderful R3 'music in nature' this morning, with stories of watery restoration in abandoned claypits etc. Will hunt more out online later.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Evening all.
Few pleasures so just touching base really. PK, so frustrating for you......
Cold and wet and windy here. Had a fraught couple of days and still feeling very fragile and down and a bit stupidly weepy so watch out!
Mixed pleasures:
1) We are starting to feel a bit better but still waffy and coughing so hubby had decided to get the set in for the play this week and then to leave it to his partner in crime to do the set changes each night as not fair to cough amongst people, even wearing a mask, as we are not sure what we've had. So far so good til partner in crime slipped getting out of the car and is strapped up and in a lot of pain with a broken finger! Only pleasure there is that it's not a complicated set and they will get by somehow. I was going to see the play on Thursday but won't for the same reasons as above. Sad to be missing it.
2) Middle grandson with the cast on his arm to straighten it had an itch and scratched inside the top of the cast with a pen. When he pulled the pen out the top stayed inside the cast (duh!!) and was hurting. Several apptempts to poke/pull it out were making it sore so had to leave it. Pleasure is he was back at the hospital today so a new cast will be fitted and the pen cap returned to him.
3) I broke my top front tooth (aagh!) on a nectarine stone on Sunday, well more chipped a lump off really. Managed to get an emergency appointment today, was very surprised as said we may have had Covid last week but they said it wasn't a problem (!) and the pleasure is the dentist can build it up somehow and bond it to the tooth but not for a fortnight as they are busy and it will be a long appointment. At least something can be done and she has filed it down in the mentime so it's not catching my lip. Not too much to smile about at the mo so won't be too noticeable and at least it will be done before we go away again the week after.
4) Decided to wear my new bracelet, never worn before, to cheer myself up. Came home and took my jacket off and the bracelet is gone. Hubby checked the car and it's nowhere to be seen so it either slipped off or the clasp maybe wasn't fastened properly. No pleasure there really but worse things happen and luckily no sentimental value. Hubby said he will buy me another but not sure...
5) It's pretty dark already and feeling a bit 'tender' so will get bit of easy tea ready and catch up on last night's quizzes on the telly then an early night. Tomorrow is another day.
Enjoy your evening, go steady.

Highdays sorry you’ve had such a rough few days 😘. I can empathise, I lost a treasured bracelet recently, have problems with my teeth and have just recovered from Covid, so hugs 🤗 to you.Feeling a lot better and back to doing (some) normal household jobs.
Roof ridge tile regrouting last week seems to have worked 🤞 as no water came through my bedroom light fitting when we had a thunderstorm and torrential rain at the weekend.
Round to friend’s house for Chinese takeaway and several glasses of 🍷 last night, leftovers tonight.
Flu jab and eyebrows done today.
Sorted out my borrow box app at the library so can now download some books again.
A lot of holiday packing done today and I put some of my dresses in OH ‘s case which is much bigger than mine and I’ll have something to wear if mine goes astray.
We’re off to Lesvos 🇬🇷 on Thursday 🇬🇷🌞🍷
have a good evening and lots of sleep 💤 everyone.6
