Now 'slow charging' msg and ridiculous battery draining 17% in under 10 minutes....
Anyways, more busyness yesterday, with osps, bien sûr.
Pics and explanatory moving interludes to be added later, as and when :-), hopefully.
1. Early collection of surplus fruit from a MrT for school holidays free lunches programme and Town of Gown rough sleepers, delivered to St Phillips, with special parking. A theme, watch for similar.....
2....which meant a rare foray into 4 used to be regular CS occasions. Oh dear, so far as no more books go... but 1st of '3 for £1' was signed by Michèle Roberts and another note from her to recipient dropped from the rear flyleaf! & is a fan of her writing. So pleased with all 3 choices - pic.
3. Back to &squat, changed, Thermosed and out again for other voluntary bits ahead of last night's final Sounds Green 2023 in CUBG. Gridlock grind of 1½miles in 1½hrs 😈 to p&r, before sign and road closure blocked everything off. No P&R. NOTHING! Absolutely NO earlier info. or signs. Trumpington emporium blocked off - bet that boosted turnover, not . Turned using dead-end access to a private road and stop-startily shunted back, in order to soddit- park in Bateman St, no longer permitted. Amazingly, saw last space in special rescinded strip right by entrance. &'s!!! :-
4. Concert and rain began together, before being curtailed. Absolutely drenched and happy &. Lead trombonist/compère drew laughter as she introduced another Johnny Dankworth piece 'Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?' Pic+film....oh, 'File format not allowed', but anyway...Very Hallelujah!
5. CUBG remained open, despite osp.4, so back went & to check on NZ garden. Had excellent chat with member of staff also there, who said so much had been lost but was now being reinstated. Kiwi & explained her own longtime interest and shock at state of it a fortnight ago.
Pics to come, fingers x'd. 5 tries later....became 11.
Must dash now.
Hope 1st sleep under new roof was blissful, Frith.
Good days to all - and something vaguely interesting round ball maybe happening today?
Battery now on 77 silly %....call that 56%. 😞CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Thank you for all the good wishes.
Pleasures for yesterday (Wednesday)
1) Good to get up and start moving.
2) Bigger son and his girlfriend arrived. There wasn't much to do so we just had a chat.
3) My sister arrived, put the cat in a dog crate and drove off with her for the day.
4) The removal men arrived. They called me Linda, so Linda I remained for the whole day. They didn't notice that I signed their paperwork with a completely different name. This amused smaller son.
5) Eventually the house was cleared and I left my keys at my estate agents.
6) Smaller son and I went to bigger son's house for bacon and egg sandwiches and a game of pool.
7) As we drove to get the new keys, smaller son said, "isn't it nice to see bigger son so happy?"
8) New house! Everything was put away by 6.30. Nice things so far have been having normal height ceilings, the garden, the silence overnight and the ancient electric doorbell that sounds like it belongs in a stately home.
9) Places actually deliver to us now, so we had a Greek for tea!
10) I had forgotten to pack the canteen (?) of cutlery so we had a trip to Sainsbury's to buy some.
11) Watched the Great British Sewing Bee.
12) Though I was looking forward to watching my friend play football, I was secretly relieved it was rained off and I could have a rest!

Just Wow for all of that, Frith! 😀

Hello. Happy new home Frith
Up early. Usual schmusual
Vet phoned with blood results. Still on watch and wait . I could have taken him in for IV fluids and scans but said I’d wait and see how he went after his 24 hour jag went. Fingers and paws are still crossed.Went out for a whole 15 minutes today to drop stuff off at boss’s house.
Poured all morning but dry ( in a grey way) from lunch. Hung out washing but it hasn’t fully dried so hanging up on clothes horses.Made macaroni for my tea.Puppy arrived at 5.15pm for a couple of hours.DD2 picked him up. Nice chatter with her.6 -

Pleasures for today (Thursday)
1) A good sleep!
2) My dad and brother came round during the morning to bring the garden things, which had been stored in dad's van temporarily. They had a guided tour and a cup of tea in the garden. My brother put up the washing whirly thing in the garden.
3) I went to Sainsbury's and sat in the cafe, changing my address on insurance etc.
4) I met the other neighbour (other side) who has a son one year younger than smaller son. She said a lot of people in the road have lived here since it was built.
5) The cat was allowed out and circled the garden then disappeared. She has come back and is much more settled and asleep on the living room floor in front of me.
6) Mum came here 3pm and had a cup of tea.
7) I spent 2 hours weeding the front garden and planting out all the seedlings that had been waiting patiently on the patio at the old house.
8) Watched Who Do You Think You Are?

Good morning. This week's weather has been much better than predicted. Yes, lots of rain, but some warm sun too.
Frith - Happy New Home. I'm sure you'll enjoy many happy years there. How lovely that smaller son recognised bigger son's contentment, and that it pleased him.
As expected, and hoped for, this week has been very quiet here. But rest and arnica seem to have done the trick and DH is recovering nicely. So much so that he thinks we should go out for coffee today. Not very MSE, I know, but a little celebration of his being on the mend.
Garden is growing well, but with not many flowers, just lots of greenery. We found the neatest half moon holes in the edge of the wisteria leaves. Quick Google. Leaf cutter bees. How exciting is that!
Have finished my crochet lavender and now can't think what to do. Pinterest calls.
Happy Friday everyone

Wishing you and your family lots of happiness in your new home Frith.
Pleased to hear that OH is recovering well HappyCas
For yesterday,
Driving into horsey town for food and car bleeped with red light saying flat tyre, got out, nothing looked flat but got my pressure gadget out of boot and checked, nope all ok! Guess that’s the pleasure! Fished out manual and reset, all now ok.
On the way to the stables, going through one of the villages with a duck pond and got held up by a mama duck plus several juveniles waddling down the middle of road, they didn’t seem to be in a hurry so popped hazards on and waited, a kind man walking on the path took pity on me and ushered them to the side.
Pony was fast asleep when I got there, flat out in her stable and snoring, waved a carrot under her nose which managed to wake her up. Long groom and general fuss. Chat with pals and sorted rugs out for cleaning.
Cricket accompanied me for most of the day, TMS on phone and then on radio at home.
Made a loaf and while the oven was on roasted lots of veg for ratatouille portions to be frozen.8
