Good luck with the move Frith 😊
Sounds like the right decision MHags.
It’s been over a week since I’ve posted and despite the rain I’m sure there must be a few pleasures:
Swimming up to 36 lengths.
Weight loss hovering at 12 lbs.
Little runner beans forming at last.
Lovely OH bought me a new iPad.
Cant find anything much we want to watch on tv so we’ve been watching YouTube music videos and discovered Scrabble online, I’m unbeaten so far 🤣
Of to lunch today with the ladies what lunch.
have a great day 😊

Hope all goes well with the move Frith
For yesterday,
Busy busy de-cobwebbing upstairs, it’s surprising how much a bright, sunny day will show up.
At the yard and my girlie’s face still looked sore, she’s only out at night so suspect it’s a nocturnal something coming up from the grass to attack her, cleaned the bites up and put on some hedgewitchery lotion. Decided to have a little play in the lunge pen so popped on a padded headcollar and set up a few trot poles, followed by a cross pole jump which got her very engaged. Then chatted with friends while she dozed off all the excitement.
Lunch and then drove into Cathedral City to pick up parcel from sorting office but new opening hours meant the office was closed, definitely not a pleasure that I didn’t check first but guess it was a nice afternoon for a drive 🙄
Check up at the V E T S for small dog, she’s got a bit of an upset tum at the moment so was given a probiotic to help settle things down. She hides her head under my arm when he gives her the monthly steroid injection then barks at him for the expected treatment, makes me smile.
Bit late home so quick tea of arancini, couscous and avocado.7 -
Morning all.
Great news, Frith, hope all goes well with the move and you are very happy in your new home.
Some pleasures:
1) We have sunshine, and we had some yesterday too! So nice after all the rain.
2) We can finally get out and get some garden jobs done. It's like a building site and needs a fair bit of tlc but we have made a start.
3) Loads of rubbish to the tip, being quite ruthless and it feels good.
4) Pottering in my summerhouse, bit of painting, bit of reading, bit of this and that, lovely.
5) Trip out with little fella is on the cards this afternoon. So lovely he is still at the age where a trip out with grandparents is a treat and not a chore!
Enjoy the sunshone if you have it where you are.9 -
Hope all goes well today Frith and you find the kettle quickly !
Terrible night with hip pain ,ended up taking strong painkiller at 2 am so a very slow start
will have a quiet day just pottering
see they’ve just announced more Drs strike so no doubt my urgent appointment will be pushed back even more .7 -
Oh, and by the weigh, this?
Raining in Dundee! And Sunshone?
Runner beans and iPads!Life of the Admiral
No report on Tuesday as I was on the Docks doing good for all! I only work so our cat can have a comfortable life!
Well in their wisdom, the council has dug whole in road that leads to the commuter station blocking it off completely. Now added to the list of social workers, or has the unsocial workers moved into the roads dept? No change from your Admiral their! BoPsie has to go on mega detour to pick the Admiral up!
Home for homemaid chilli with toe nail onions and tom sauce. Very tasty as well. Washed down later.
Nearly up to date with the Only Murders in the Building. Cheeses and wobbleade were taken.
Now ready to fed Kitty, that is why I work from home!

& I do hope we get some photos so we can live vicariously through your art buying. My pleasures:
1) last night I did a 2 hour frantic tidy of the house whilst DH was on the mower outside and got loads done. Feels calmer in the house now.
2) slipping my feet into fleece lined crocs off the dehumidifier (!)
3) switch to Halifax accepted for the free switching bonus. Will go into my 'holiday with my sister fund'
4) finally got the electrical plans to electrician for the quote (quantity surveyor is not happy with our lack of speed!), and booked in another couple of kitchen appointments. Small progress
5) starting to feel human today after being off sick this week. I worked from bed today. I miss the office but am going to stay away until I definitely won't spread this horrid virus!7 -
Hello. Another evening of absolutely lashing with rain although it had been a nice day.Up early.Made tablet. For someone else. Sometimes it doesn’t work when it’s for someone else but I’m glad it did!Up to boss’s house to drop stuff off.Took dog to beach. Was ever so lovely.
Came home and he vomited big style again. He has not eaten anything untoward.Phoned vets got an appointment this afternoon, saw a very nice vet. Anti-emetic injection…this will take about 45 minutes to kick in…shame that as 20 minutes later I got home and apocalyptic vomiting! Sigh…I just washed those kitchen rugs last night! And nooooo not on the lovely, wool rug from next and oh we are still going…out in the garden. Poor boy. Then had to collect puppy from doggy daycare so he was utterly exhausted and just plonked himself at my feet and slept!DD2 picked him up from mine and we sat and had a nice blether. And I’m hoping for a vomit free night! 🤞8 -

For yesterday,
Sunny morning so two quick loads of washing done and out on the line, this has been the coldest, wettest July I can remember.
At the yard and girlie taken out for a walk or rather a stomp in her case as she does like to get on with things! Ended up in one of the cut hay fields so had a little trot as well. Gave her a cooling, tea tree bath afterwards as she’s still quite itchy.
An afternoon in the garden, saw a huge dragonfly and lots of butterflies.
Made arrangements with friends to go out for afternoon tea next week.
The rain come over early evening so standing on my back door step enjoying the lovely, fresh smell while small dog had her last wander around the garden.

Sunny July? Wet, well it did rain on St. Swithn's day!
Dog Shower!Cap'tns Log
Usual as I am looking after Kitty while working from home. Docks connected via the vpn!
Had stove brew chilli for tee last nite with them toe nail onions. Yous not sea Jimmy the Cook do that?
Nearly finished off Only Murders in the Building ready for new series. It is three from the bank, not the one that is in the news. I left them when they could not be bothered to give me my mortgage! See I was thirst! Cocoa and cheese was taken. Not that foamed variety!
Getting inn early as the cricket is on soon, so will be reddy for that!
