I received a call first thing about my test results, which is both concerning and good at the same time.
1 I picked up a 2 good 2 go box from Aldi, safe to say I will try one more and then I think that’s enough, 8 boxes of mushrooms, 2 cabbages and a bread loaf, guess what the one veg is I can’t eat….
2 Wash loads done bird foods replenished.
3 Rather distracted by the doctors so just spent the afternoon reading a book and a brief chat with DB really mooched doing not a lot as I couldn’t concentrate, I will have to choose to ignore it until I can talk options with the doc all booked in, she wanted to see me today but hasn’t had any cancellations which means waiting for the next booked in apt which isn’t for a little while.
4 Made toad in the hole for dinner, mushroom side for dh, they even smell dreadful! Greenery for me and mustard gravy on all of it.
5 I carried on working on the wood furniture, I am taking off the grime layers and I must let it dry between each part, one more day and I will be able to get a coat of wax on, it’s quite satisfying watching it come back up, I will be happy when I’ve completed it. I am working on deep cleaning things one per day as we’ve lived here a long time now and would like to sell on it’s making sure that things look up to spec and spotlessly clean – ha ha. It was too hot to do the mowing that does need doing.

Good morning. Another beautiful day.
DfV - you're right,of course. Our house has not been this clean since DD first day at school!
Oh Paulie - thank you for the pix. Just for a few moments I was there....in Greece...aah!
Lainey - hope you soon feel better. It took me almost 50 years to realise what was diagnosed as IBS was an egg allergy. I now can't even eat cakes etc if there's egg in. But oh, the relief to have a settled stomach.
PK - I hope you soon get to see the doctor. It does feel better when you have an action plan
Not much to report really as most of my days have been spent hospital visiting ( and mad-woman type cleaning!)
The op went well. Now waiting for biopsy results and results of extra scans. He may, with good luck and a following wind, come home today. I do hope so.
DS visited DH yesterday teatime and almost insisted he took me home, backed up by DH. Think I must have looked a bit frayed round the edges!
Right, off to see what needs a scrub until it's visiting time.
Happy 🌞🌞day everyone6 -
Hope you have a good time away Highdays
Hugs PK
For yesterday, Tbh felt rough all day and didn’t do much!
Washing dried on the line.
The honeysuckle is in bloom and smells wonderful.
So many bees on the nepeta, salvia and lavenders
Plenty of laying on the sofa reading my book.My little shadow, aka small dog, with me all day, she’s such good company.6 -
Pleasures for today (Wednesday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Invigilated a GCSE during the morning.
3) Floody city afterwards. Plantain for lunch in the Colombian cafe. Did some Arabic.
4) On to Waitrose to get some shopping (and redeem my £5 voucher).
5) FINALLY some proper action from the solicitor. 9 weeks after I first raised this, she is trying to get sons two electronic "signatures". Lots of emails and phone calls from her. It is almost impossible to do, as smaller son has no ID in the world, besides his birth certificate. At least she is is doing something.
6) Quiche for tea with hm coleslaw, radishes and garlic mushrooms.
7) House reasonably tidy and I watered the pots outside.6 -
Hello. Late for me.
Up early and quick doggy walk at 4.30am. And then on beach about 5.45am. Was lovely.
Did a bit of weeding.Painted first coat of a chair.
Chat to DD1 who is adventuring.
Went to lunch with DD2 and the chap’s sister. I had a baked potato.
Home briefly then back out for dinner at a friend’s beautiful home. Simple but extremely delicious food…that wasn’t as skinny club friendly but was very yummy.
A good day.7 -

Oooft it’s hot!Beach! Arrived at 5.30am and had a lovely walk.Home and did my little bit of gardening whilst it’s cool.Painted second coat of chair. Once it was dry I put it upstairs. Looks lovely.
Went to old workplace and met niece and great nephew. Sat outside. There was a pleasant breeze. Nice to chatter with everyone.Stopped in at friends on the way home. Just dropped in on the off chance and had a lovely hour blethering out in the garden. Came away with a bag of salad leaves from their garden. Had some at lunch and some with dinner.Went to Dunelm in search of a parasol. As it’s just too hot at my garden sofas. Do you have parasols? yes here’s one that’s expensive. And also very long…oh I just have a small car. Oh I have a small car too just put your back seat down! Well that box is about 1.5 times the size of my car😆
Anyway turn a corner and there’s a pile of RTC parasols! A third of the price of the one I was being shown. That’ll do and it fitted in my car no bother! Couldn’t lift the base so I’ve ordered one to be delivered tomorrow. Then realised I’ve a wee table with a bit for a parasol so plonked it in their meantime but it’s not where I want it to be.Went to TKmax and got a few fripperies. Well I’m on my holiday 😆
Glad to be home and into shorts and a vest top! A bit of in and a bit of out.Nice chat with DD1 on her travels.Had salad and couscous for lunch and made a chilli with rice and salad for tea.An early night methinks! ( not this early though 😆)8 -
1 What a morning, I got up and got the place hoovered before the heat arrived, just as I finished and made a cuppa, there was a rap at the door and a delivery chap with aa tonne of wood pellets (their litter), just as well I was around as no one told us they would be delivered today, we were expecting them this time next week! So a very happy chatty chap delivered the pallet, and I set to hoisting 65 bags of litter from the pallet to the storage shed. Safe to say our backs are paying a price now.
2 I then got on with sorting animal prescriptions and ordering them all up.
3 We popped across the bridge and had lunch at the Range.
4 We made our way around the cheap shops and a lot didn’t have what we were after.
5 We popped to lidl I must admit, it’s not mse at all but I love the ham and cheese croissants, we were sold to, we purchased some plant drippers sets that might work, 2 plants and some tool bits for dh.
6 Lidl pepper stuffed schnitzels with salad for dinner, it was lovely.
7 A friend in need has called us in trouble, we have dropped everything but are trying to work out logistics.
