Not sure why I didn’t post yesterday! I just assumed I had 😆
Up at silly o’clock. Quick doggy walk. Ever so peaceful at 4.30am. Into work.Grabbed a doggy and we were on the beach by 6am. Oh it was so nice. Just us and a far out tideWent to skinny club and I had a good loss in my first week. Then went for a walk round the park.
Home and think I just pottered around. Sat out in garden intermittently as it was rather hot.Friend called and SIL FaceTimed
Today was worky work. Had a nice doggy walk at 5.30am, lovely fresh air.
Went in early so I could nip home and spend some time with doggy. Not crazy busy and good company today. Had a laugh.Home and I’ve sat in the garden and finished my book.9 -
Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Went to Waitrose for a cup of tea and a few bits.
3) Went to my best friend's dad's house for some boxes for (hopefully) moving house.
4) Went to my sister's to borrow some toy animals for English class tomorrow.
5) Smaller son in a good mood so we went to the Greek restaurant for a takeaway. We ate it parked outside the new house!
6) Made a pumpkin pie, but with butternut squash from the freezer. Very good.
7) Talked to my downhill neighbour for a while.8 -
Frith - why are you letting yourself be affected, I.e.controlled, by that sort of male?
You are so much better than that person.

1. Glad I visited a former CS colleague, now widowed, yesterday. Difficult times for her with children who take advantage, not that she is any sort of moaner, never was. Took her several No More Plants- and we stripped out miles of wretched cleavers.
2. Theme for this afternoon's service was 'The Unhurried Life'......takes a bit of doing, or rather, NOT doing. Did morning reading elsewhere. Should be gardening now, but have taken self off and am listening to skylarks instead.
3. Dropped 2 plates of leftover refreshments to old Uni friend, whose family extras are delighted. Exchanged garden viewings. Her ancient old-style roses are spectacular this year.
4. Alcaraz is through in the French Open. Loathsome djokovic aussi, but as they're on the same side of the draw, they won't meet in the Final.
5. Em from oldest Northern hemisphere friend in France, so rare as we both live in connectivity black holes. 'Where are you? Everyone's asking'. Want to be there asap, but fuel leak needs fixing first.

much hugs and understanding frith but also what ampers says - you are an amazing woman, defined by yourself. but i do as i say send much understanding!
1) early up to take DS to the station then DD2 and i went to mr t cos we'd run out of wet dog food (the boys were very unforgiving!)
2) cathedral for choir practice then the service - fabulous - we did a vaughan williams which i didn't know before Thursday's practice - lovely - Randolph for those who might be familiar than I
3) after lunch DD2 and i went to WestFest which was very busy and very loud - saw Mr E who was manning a stall with Dr M who said they'd be mennies after
4) DD2 and i had a long walk along the river front - absolutely beautiful - then back home for a Fab
5) then Mennies for the 2nd half of the match - Dr M and Mr E already there along with a friend whose girlfriend died suddenly age 45 and i very much suspect from what DD1 has aged 31 so that's a difficult one to not stress about 😢- match very exciting - then met my hairdresser from years ago - she asked if Dr M was my new man - how on earth did she know I was no longer married to xoh?!!! anyway i turned to Dr M and said 'are you my new man' then turned to her and said 'no' before he could answer. Like i say Frith, much understanding!!!MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Oh yes ampers much concern about the dreaded laminitis around our yard, grass sugar is v bad this year and farriers / vets are commenting on such a high level of cases. My girl only goes out at night when sugar levels are lower.
For yesterday,
An early morning walk with small dog, sun was warm but needed jumper against cool breeze.
Interesting DID with Jeremy Bowen.
Hoovered out mini and topped up with oil, on to garden and was supposed to be weeding but mostly just watched the bees & other pollinators do their thing.
Lunch then back outside to read and enjoy the sun.
Evening walk then watered the seedlings and veg patch.7 -
Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Mysteriously lost 2lbs since last Monday.
3) Finally got round to taking my birth certificate to the council so I can be paid for the election work. I've worked there since 1997 so not sure what they are checking for!
4) Went to M and S and did some Arabic.
5) Took some mangoes to a man who probably doesn't deserve them, as I bought them for him last week.
6) Went to English lesson in the afternoon.
7) Sainsburys order arrived!
8) Smaller son and I had a walk along the river in floody town.6 -

Good morning. Dull today but we've had some lovely sunny days lately so mustn't grumble!
Frith - oh dear me! Please don't let someone put you down like that. You have had much to contend with, and don't need such negativity to drag you down.
I've nothing much to report here. We've not been anywhere or done anything really since last Thursday.
DD and fiance came round on Saturday and we had to tell them we will have to cancel the cruise planned for Sept. The cruise is expensive but the insurance will be horrific, if we can even get any! They have decided to go ahead anyway. We have said if all is well by then we will see if there are any late availability places, but September seems a long way off at the moment.
DH has spent some time in the garden, with me hovering behind him, making sure he's not doing anything too strenuous.
This morning his friend is coming round so I'm going to go to the supermarket. DH is ok to be left, but I don't like to leave him!
Happy Tuesday everyone

For yesterday,
Into horsey town and met my friend for a quick coffee & catch up.
At the yard, bbbrr cold after a warmer weekend, spent time with my girlie which is always a big pleasure.
Small dog enjoyed two visitors to the house, a plumber to sort out the main bathroom cistern and an electrician to change over the antiquated light fittings in the landing. They knew each other of course.
My irises are finally coming into flower, as is the climbing rose.
Bit of a make it up as you go along tea but tasty all the same, bit of reading then watched the last Steeltown Murders.
