Good luck for today Frith 🤞
Ah welcome home to the little one, love the fact they have their own hammocks!
For yesterday,
Entertainment whilst eating breakfast, a pair of goldfinches munching on the dandelion seeds followed by the smallest bunny ever jumping around on the grass.
Over to see my pony, after what was obviously a very busy night out in her field she was laying down, fast asleep in her stable. Went in and sat down beside her, awww. Practised my plaiting skills.
Home and Capt S had cut the grass, lovely smell as walked in garden gate.
My eldest DN gave me a facial, belated birthday present, most relaxing. She will soon be leaving her current salon to move to bigger premises, her Dad would have been so proud.
Snorkers for tea - where is Pirate Pete? - then watched Eurovision, I liked Moldova with the flute!6 -
Good morning. Fog here, can you believe! Though not as bad as your sea fret, Mhagster.
P Kitten - so pleased you have the ferret to care for. He's in safe hands now.
Topsy T - so difficult for your son. And for you. Such a long time to wait. I hope you manage to find somewhere to go for a change of scenery to cheer him up a little
Lainey - almost envious of you, having the whole Gamache series to look forward to. Enjoy!
Yesterday we went with DD and fiance and his mum to see their chosen wedding venue. We all agreed that we really liked it so that's booked! It has a lovely walled garden and the ceremony can be outside, weather permitting of course. Not until next September, but lots to look forward to.
For tea we collected a take away curry from a local man.. He works from his kitchen, and it's cold when you collect it, to reheat at home. It was delicious and the portions were huge so some frozen for another day. Will be going there again
Bought some green wool now so can do my lavender leaves and daisy chain.
Happy foggy day everyone

1. Was about to drive off from Rogation service, but 2 horses just passing meant 'Hold off'. Assuming Mum, with a fabulous long blonde plait, and young son.
2. Whereabouts of site for osp 1. Scout Hut apparently doesn't exist, despite Postcode showing it. So, another Google maps mess, as was a Lent lunch in the same area(osp passim). Found eventually and all good, although freezing service outside.
3. We all stood freezing yesterday, under dark sky and icy cold. i.e. ideal rugby weather, but everyone's online forecasts were insisting it was 16-18⁰ and sunny exactly where we were, at the Davey Field! It was so bitterly cold, & was glad to come in and do some visiting teams' washing up, have hands in hot water.
4. Rather than throw lots of excellent leftover food in bin, all was safely packaged and handed in to homeless shelter, where needed, en route back.
5. More autocorrect rubbish - 'long blonde plait' over and again appearing as 'lingerie blinders plankton.' No, don't think so.
#
Good luck to your team Frith and some copable coping tactics for you and your son, topsyturphy (your name also rescued from autocorrect, twice now!)

Hello.First day at work done. And dusted! Hurrah! One to go.Steady in a busy kind of way without being too mad. One of the younger girls who works with me has came on leaps and bounds in the last two weeks so that made a difference. It rained whilst I was at work so that’s great for the garden then turned out to be a nice evening.Tips a bit meh but more than I had this morning.Doggy had his two visitors today! All happy to see each other!I couldn’t find him earlier on…was snoozing in his brothers room on the dust sheet in a puddle of sun! The decorator had left everything in place to continue tomorrow and I’m assuming DD2 must have keeked in and the door was left open enough for him to get in! Quite the thing snoozing in the sun ( he travels around the house with the sun! )7

Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) The toilet doesn't work at all now. I had to get up, get dressed and drive to the farm shop to use theirs! I mean, it is physically possible but mentally it is very strange to leave the house in the morning without "going" ! Had a pot of tea while I was there.
3) Disaster! Went to Sainsburys on the way to the football (for smaller son to use the toilet). We think that might be where he lost his bank card... so he had to cancel that. Drove on merrily to the football, parked the car, got our bag of sandwiches, stood in the sunshine to get on the coach - and we had left the match tickets stuck on the fridge...
We told some people who looked like they might be able to help, but no. We have had online tickets where you wave your phone near the turnstile for YEARS. All the other clubs have the same. I don't know why Brackley decided on big printed cards. Anyway, we had about 20 minutes but it would have been a 20 mile round trip to get them, plus parking again. Phoned my brother, he left tennis, got the tickets, motored down, I drove the other way and met him halfway! Got the bus with about 90 seconds to spare.
4) I ended up sitting next to the team doctor on the coach and he was chatty.
5) A good match at Brackley. Our team won 2-0 and has been promoted and will be in the National League next season!
6) Had a McDonalds for tea.7 -
goodness frith, those fridges have a lot to answer for!
1) first drop at the CS for a while - 3 big bags (and didn't look round for 'bargains')
2) lovely walk with the boys - we went off the usual track
3) did some spring cleaning including washing the kitchen bins - surprisingly therapeutic
4) stewed rhubarb and yoghurt for pudding - something doubly yummy about rhubarb from the garden
5) am 1/3 through anxious people (for Friday's book club) and dd2 reminded me she's got netflix. just watched the first episode which is a bit different to the book so maybe i should stick to the book till after book club!

For yesterday,
A member of the wide awake club, definitely not a pleasure but getting up and reading my book with a cup of tea and small dog cuddles was.
Busy in the garden most of the morning, planted up stuff from newly found nursery, hardy geraniums and phlox, sorted beetroot seedlings, fed strawberry plants and earthed up tatties.
Lunch followed by coffee & cake in the garden.
The smell of the May blossom in the hedges as we passed on our afternoon walk.
Early night and reading in bed, totally smitten with the world of Three Pines and so happy to know that there are a lot more books in the series.7 -
Hello all.
Oh Frith, what a palaver - hope your loo gets sorted.
Pleasures for yesterday
1. Yet more washing pretty much dried on the line
2. did my fridge fairy bit - they will keep eating the contents of the fridge
3. OH jet washed the patios and washed the conservatory roof.
4. i cut stuff back in the garden
5. too cold to eat our bbq outside, so had it anyway but inside. Chicken was tough but the burgers were lish
6. watched Ten Pound Poms. It got better as it went on. My MiL had a £10 ticket but didn't go (gave my FiL an ultimatum - "Marry me by Friday or i go to Australia on Saturday. If I go, will you take me to Southampton!" 🤣 (to Southampton from Birmingham, mind). They got married on the Friday!
Have a great day all.I wanna be in the room where it happens7 -
1 A day of gardening, I did mow the front lawn as well, but I still haven’t cut the back garden yet and it seems happy and healthy but does need a cut now
2 New boy decided not to wait and he’s in with them now, he’ll get there he’s in, and we are leaving him in now, there’s the occasional whinge off “top dog” but the new boy has no desire to be top dog. He loves adores paddling and swimming in all the water available.
3 Dinner was a burger and chips.
4 Last piece of dh’s birthday cake gladly consumed
For today
1 Started on cleaning the caravan.
2 The birds have gone rather silly for their new food.
3 HM bowl of chilli for tea.
4 New fuzzie has found the garden and I am not convinced he’s slept much at all.
5 Booked in the tip run.
