Good morning. Sunny too though just had msg from DD on her way South and it's raining there.
S Sue - it must have been worrying feeling whammy ( medical term) Praise be for a doctor who's on the ball.
Lainey - know what you mean about a blanket needed. I changed to my summer dressing gown about two weeks ago and now I'm cold every morning. Too stubborn to change back though so I put a fleece on top!
Paulie - love the photos esp the little owl. He looks very cross!
Well, been out for lunch two days running. Not very MSE at all! Fish n chips at fave restaurant Friday and jacket potato at garden centre with DD yesterday( DH had steak pie which looked good but their portions are huge and I knew I'd never eat it all) Bread and dripping for a week now!
Took all the house plants outside and gave them a much needed feed. Then brought them in again cos we go away next week. After that they can spend summer in the garden.
It's Sunday so croissants coming up.
Happy croissant day everyone

Fab photos Paulie.
For yesterday,
Lazy start to the day as we all sat around chatting.
Finally stirred our stumps and headed into cathedral city for a wander around, some sort of graduation going on and lots of robed people walking about, we visited the market which seems to get better every time we go, the cheese stall got a lot of business from us all.
A monopoly marathon in the afternoon, it’s still going and out on the dining room table as I type this.
Out for a meal, lovely pub that we’ve visited a couple of times now, oh so tasty food and, even though I was the designated driver, still enjoyed a mocktail of a mango mojito.
Home, too tired for more monopoly so nightcaps supped whilst watching a programme about the glory days of the European cup when Forest and the like dominated, the sideburns were longer than the shorts ☺️10 -
For past couple of days.
1. Went for 2 days in Norfolk to see DH aunt. We were very lucky with weather as warm enough and in the main sunny.
2. In way up we went to see a lovely garden which looked great. Loads of roses out in full bloom. Saw a couple of plants which the bees loved so may have to buy.
3. Stayed at a nice hotel. It is an old building with floors at various angles. A meal out with some wine consumed.
4. Another day and some more sightseeing - very relaxing and drive through some lovely areas.
5. Met DH aunt and cousin for a meal. She told us that she has been diagnosed with leukaemia. She is due back at hospital next week to discuss treatment options. She is fairly positive but has lost a lot of weight and is tired and breathless.
It was a good evening though despite the news.
6. Drive home after and no delays - though art of M11 was closed.9 -
Braised Ox! There was a Junction on the Railway called Durham Ox inn Lincoln!
Chicken fillets!

Snorkers, good! Black Pud, hmmmm not normal food, sparingly used?

Jangled! Set the box up for the real big International Match yesterday! Kitty shirley can take the Admiral leapting off his chair any moor! Five times yersterday and a few bits off course as well! Still another weak of tums of butterflies! The Albatross is recovering!
Kitty who loves her Admiral, was given her nibble treats and things and is also so forgiving as well.
When the Admiral come back down to earth, we watched another Bond. Tomorrow Never Comes. Again not quite lick the proper flem inn ones. Putting M inn MI5 is not right. There worked for Universal Products. Finger Kebabs, Cheeses and wobbelades were tucked!
These are what Finger Kebabs look like!
Nought the proper chiplaters snorkers on the kebabs, not the pre-cooked carp available inn the boutiques!
Was inn the Jim this morn to keep me body inn its beach ready shape!
Then home for the snorkers and best back, with mushrooms and poached egg on a hot toasted crumpet!
Then as its the least weakened of the month, Kitty was given her flea treatment! Done inn one and I gets the sulk eyes from her. A quick nibble food and she is soon in love with the Admiral again. The Albatross is recovering!

Afternoon all
@poppy811, thinking of you.
Five recent pleasures:
1. DS2 and I went for a lovely, sunny, evening walk yesterday across the meadows by the river and we saw a heron in flight and heard two cuckoos who were calling across the whole space from the woods on one side to the woods on the other. I know they were probably just marking territory but it sounded so much like a conversation. I haven't heard cuckoos in years so that was exciting.
2. Then a bit later DS1 phoned and we had a long call with him telling me about some very positive goings on (plus potential promotion/wage increase) in his current summer job.
3. Sewing Bee and Chelsea.
4. Remembered I hadn't renewed my driving licence (thanks Martin for the reminder) so I dealt with it before getting into trouble. (A pleasure in that something awful has been avoided!)
5. More knitting of the second sock that has taken for ever to finish, nearly done now.
Sweet dreams
