Good afternoon
Oh no Frith. Hope a better mood prevailed today.
Back home again
Had a lovely four days doing all our favourite walks and visiting our favourite cafes.
Saturday night we went to a restaurant we've not been to since pre- covid. It's tiny - like somebody's front room but does wonderful fresh food at reasonable prices. A proper treat.
Serious discussions ahead about the future of the caravan but we've paid the ground rent for this season so will be going until November. As we get older we are leaning more towards holidays where someone else cooks, washes up and makes your bed!I
One lot of washing done, line dried and put away. On a roll!
Happy evening everyone

Evening all 😊
(((((Frith)))))
Five pleasures since I last posted:
1. New shoelaces for my walking boots.
2. I, also, did a load of washing and line dried it. Free solar. Free anything is sooo welcome.😊
3. Lit the fire very early yesterday, made tea and had that with a take-away piece of vegan cake snuggled up in an armchair with my new-to-me freebie book from the swap shop. I never buy cake like this nowadays so it was a big treat.
4. Have, at long last, weeded the front of the house – bit overdue.
5. Had two Audible credits left and I managed to find two books on this week’s 2 for 1 offer that I fancied so I spent one credit. I checked against the library and can’t find them there so I can justify the spend.
Sweet dreams,
B x

Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) I finally went in the house at 1.30am and nothing was said. Smaller son was playing on his computer and pretended not to notice I had returned. I went to bed then he tiptoed up later. He stayed in his room until 5.30 today (I didn't ask him to) then came out and ate his tea.
2) Did a few jobs round the house.
3) Went to my sister's for lunch to celebrate her and her husband finishing 2 large work qualifications.
4) Popped to Sainsburys afterwards.
5) Made Jansens Temptation for tea plus pancakes with strawberries.
6) Phoned my school friend.15 -

2 I spent a long-time preparing plant pots to be planted, but also half the pots collapsed so tidied them to the bin, but pleased as I can get some plants now and ran out of compost.
3 Cumberland bangers and mash, set the smoke alarms off to the chorus of dinners ready from a neighbour, all be it accurate.
4 Spent time playing with the animals in the garden they love it when I’m doing stuff around them.
5 Ordered from fresh bright nail polish half price.

For yesterday,
Early start as rough night and oh that first cup of tea.
Another quiet day at home as lurgy making me very tired, the usual morning ritual of listening to the Archers omnibus and the Unbelievable Truth.
Roast chicken lunch followed by Portuguese style custard tarts.
Did get out for afternoon walk, nice in the sunshine and strong smell from the May blossom.
Downloaded first episode of Julia about the cookery writer J Child, played by one of my favs Sarah Lancashire and seemed like a Frasier reunion at times but entertaining enough.

1 This time 17 years ago we were landing in Vancouver, the start of our journey to get married next week. Aw, in memory as we can’t remember what we ate when we landed, we’ve ordered in as it sounds like a good excuse.
2 Hoovered the whole house, changed our bedding and the ferrets bedding and got 6 loads of washing done, multi tasked by putting a hair mask and face mask on while cleaning the house.
3 Re potted an unhappy house plant and soaked it.
4 The takeaway has been delivered; it was delicious with enough left over for lunch tomorrow.
