Ampersand
Thank you for the picture credit. I only wish I was clever enough! It's Paulie Herts who not only takes beautiful photos but also makes them into a lovely collage.
I also love Louise Penny. Currently reading Glass Houses. Could be the best yet.
Get well soon x8 -
Fab pictures PaulieH
Hope you feel better soon Ampersand, your poor throat ☹️For yesterday,
Busy morning, human, dog and bird food purchased. Small dog stands by me as I fill up her feed boxes and conducts quality control.
Over to see pony, she had been left in her heavy rug so was hot & grumpy. A cooling down, a good groom to get rid of itchy bits and left her in light fleece.Secured tickets to go and hear E Griffiths reading from her latest book at Ely cathedral.
Tea was a smoked mackerel pie, one of beloved’s favourites.
Uni Challenge and tested little grey cells.10 -
Oh happycas, apologies - and thankyou.😇
I'll edit and correct.🙂

Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) Not a bad sleep, once finally asleep.
2) Smaller son to college - hoorah! First time in a fortnight.
3) BSD continues.
4) Went to Waitrose for a cup of tea on the way to pick smaller son up.
5) Cheques arrived for sons from a great auntie who died last year (not my auntie, who also died in spring last year, but one on their father's side). Very good of her to include them in her will as she had children, grandchildren and about 50 nephews (and one niece!)
6) Went to get my hair cut then joined the other raven haired ladies at beards-no-more and had my eyebrows threaded too.
7) In bed already poised to watch Holby City.10 -
Hello
Woke just before the alarm clock! Just in for an hour and home by 7am. Was a soggy doggy walk at 5.30am!Made porridge for DD2 and I had some crusty bread with marmalade.
Cleaned bathrooms, hoovered downstairs/upstairs, washed floors, optimistically hung out washing …then watched the rain roll back in! But it was just showery and a strong enough breeze and a bit of sun now and again ( and even a beautiful rainbow) that it was mostly almost nearly less wet than when it went out! 😆! However an hour in the radiators and it’s all dried.Walked round to mums, thankfully dry each way. Met friend on way back ( we are catching up tomorrow so just a quick chatter then as we were chatting OH best friend stopped to say hello so I walked back round the road with him and had a catch up. And I felt like saying oh I’ll tell him I was talking to you!Potter pottered rest of afternoon.Dinner was very RTC ( 20p) chicken pies with leftover from work baked potatoes and parsnips from the never ending parsnip mountain, corn on cob…some sprouts! Yay! And a nice chat with just in from work DD2 all about her day. So far so good with new job.A chatter with my sister on the phone and a text back and forth with my aunt ( updating both of the mother who was in quite an agreeable mood today )
I’d bought RTC daffodils this morning so they are very cheery . My very favourite flower.A good day 😊13 -

4) made kedgeree for supper with frozen mackerel and plenty left for tomorrow
5) watched this is going to hurt and now in bed with Mayflies though won’t be long beforehand I’m in the land of nod

I often call a friend instead of messaging her to the extent she never answers me. If I want to speak to her I have to message her first!
1. Another day at work - enjoyed bus journey home like my own private taxi.
2. The last hour at work I was by myself and thought if it was like this all the time I could manage and enjoy work.
3. Butternut squash curry for tea. It was very tasty. DH enjoyed it so didn't mention it was vegan. He wouldn't have liked it then.
4. A glass of wine with the curry.
5. DH had his new car. He is very excited as his first ever new car - it is an extremely good deal from his work but not classified as a company car.11 -
For yesterday,
A bright and breezy day, washing dried on the line.
Morning visit to the yard, worked pony in the school and she was a good girl for her Mum, we were both warm when we finished ☺️Driving home from the stables and a red kite flew across the road in front of my car, such big birds!
Few bits done in the garden, constantly interrupted by small dog with a tennis ball.
Hungry for tea, mushroom & lentil bake with roasted courgettes, rest of cherry pie for afters.11
