Poor Tiggy had horrible Vet visit.
Bones were manipulated, she squeeled at elbow point. Then the first ever injection that she felt enough to squeel again. I wanted to cry. Again !
When we were standing outside a young girl (around 9) was clinging on to her Mum whilst being supported on inline (?) skates. I couldn't help but watch, she gave me the hugest smile which I returned. About 5 seconds later she turned round and waved at me. I was really touched. Produced a quiet joy.

Pleasures for today (Thursday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Bigger son had his tooth glued back in. I had my flu vaccine. I think we have been spoiled with the upbeat, helpful, positive covid jabbers and volunteers. What a sour faced Susan did my flu vaccine this morning!
3) Hens OK.
4) Went to floody city early. A very quick look around then took chocolates to smaller son's college office. Spoke to the therapy dog.
5) Made a lacklustre tea but then nice lemon sponge puddings.
6) Watched the Surgeons programme.13 -
Oooft it’s bedtime and alarm set for silly o’clock. Been working this evening so not that long in.Oooft at alarm clock this morning but we have a routine down to a tee…shower, dress, quick doggy walk, doggy breakfast, goodbye doggy, work, hello doggy…see I wasn’t that long was I?Then a bigger doggy walk as sun was rising.Pottered around today , watched a nice film called The Chaperone. Then back out to work. A private function and a nice tip.Dropped younger colleague off and admired lots of Christmas decorations. Normally DD2 and I would have been for a wander but she’s too poorly for out and about in the cold.14

Well, post didn't post an hour ago - mse just disappeared again - but & had drafted em to &self, so..... fingers x'd -
Let's see.
Yay!!! PASTED!

'Well, another turbulent day, not just in new phone land. 3-5 secs' delay after every keystroke causes more trouble.😖🤬#
Village life - Norwich have bailed, last-minute, late last night, on tomorrow's match. That's 2 weeks in a row we are left with no opponents, huge no-show costs, let alone season wreckage.....implication allsorts to follow. RFU involvement now.
Not least from &'s non-admin pov, had just finished carefully loading car with all things Chrimbo+raffle-y, after another non-stop day for that and other voluntary biz, including Town of Horse dash+more related expenditure....
#
Allez &, this thread is supposed to share osps....
1. New phone removed mse and & contacts for whole of yesterday! Nowhere to be found😱😖😡. Just now restored them...... after 20 hours! Yippee!
2. Admiral - you need more than muggytea and chocdig to cope with albion's ashes this match - and last! Whole series, probably. TMS is sound, listening now. & likes former Oz bowler, Glen M, who is bemused by Root's 'captaincy' and team selection. Many say Bairstow, NOT Butler, for keeper - no contest. & knows the Adelaide Oval rather well - another & life....
3. Midweek Communion was again uplifting - dependable, small, calm oasis. Lovely vicar away promptly for a big noon wedding nearby in benefice. Turns out 'twas for grand-daughter of fab. stylish parishioner, mid-80s, widowed this year, and herself determinedly out of hospital for this celebration.
4. Berried holly and ivy gathered out back by torchlight for puddings.
5. & checks with old NZ schoolfriend before osp 3. each week. The tiny prems, i.d. twin grandsons, are still with us. V still needs oxygen but B is surviving unassisted. Miracle babies. Wonderful care. Grandma may see them for 1st time on Christmas Day, only parents have been allowed so far. Christmas Day is also 1st anniversary of D losing his centenarian mama(post passim), well-remembered by & from 50s' Napier childhood.

Sorry to read of so many with aches and pains and gritted teeth work situations, also those of you with grief memories and anniversaries, recent and older.
Must shunt today's tip run to next week. Last & looked, days are still only 24 hours long.....and it's a 'No, sorry', a bit after 1am this morning. Can't do hamper deliveries early afternoon.

Keep taking care everyone.

Ampersand - it's not only financial costs it's the friendship which people need especially at moment. Talking to your team supporters and the opponents will be missed. Hope RFU help with financial difficulties.
Happycas - don't do too much too soon otherwise you will be in worse pain with your back. I know from experience.
Bala - hope Tiggy is recovering from vet visit.
1. Slept fairly well.
2. Work at different site so much better day. Apart from seeing a patient who informed me when leaving, after 30 minutes, that her sister had Covid and was at home. I was shocked that the father thought it was ok to bring her.
3. Went to a supermarket - spent loads but did but some Christmas presents of alcohol and vouchers. Food mainly brought too apart from fresh stuff.
4. Candles lit and had a glass of mulled wine while watching a Christmas film.
5. Starting to feel christmassy.12 -
Thankyou vl - and yes, that is shocking re: young patient and father's ignorance and/or attitude! Unreal and putting all of you at risk, plus others on site and en route.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Aw poor Tiggy, hope she is ok today.
Oh yes Ampersand, that well known feeling of why am I here?!
Crikey VL, who in their right mind thought that was ok, beggars belief.
For yesterday,
Did a LFT, as is correct, ahead of visiting elderly designated person later and boom, bad nosebleed. All information could find pointed me towards the fact that I couldn’t retest for 24 hours so regrettably phoned to postpone. Pleasure was we had a good chat anyway and all is well in their world.
Did the present wrapping ahead of some deliveries today.
Tasty lunch of BS soup and seeded bread.
Over to see pony, just a groom and tidy up but as always the chance to slow down, breathe and just be, priceless in today’s world.
Long chat with elderly uncle, he is a sprightly 84 year old, a lay preacher who is currently covering for a 60 something year old retired vicar and the irony is not lost on any of us.

Negatives and the goooooners!
Oh, Ibuprofen! Make sure you stop soon, they be bad for you.
Mad Cats!
Skates!
Flu Jab. Had mine in September!
Dogs Walked.
& sneaks a post in!
Soup.
Battern Down?
Now The Albatross was timed again on her way to work this morning, but red lights prevented any attempt on my current record! She has been packed off with sour grapes and a wafer biscuit. Of course an apple, to keep the quack away!
Had fruit juices and cocoa last night with some cheeses. Bits watched and some ... Kitty had treats after her weekend exploits!
Was out this morning to the veterans breakfast. best back and snorker, with tea! Some chocs in the raffle so we can nibble the weekend with Albatross. Did you know the albatross can fly and sore without flapping its wings!
Now sat with me mug of tea, biscuit and not watching the cricket!
Jen sends her buzz.
Keep SafeI work from home so my cat can be fed on demand!11 -
Good afternoon
Thanks VL. I'm trying to pace myself
S Sue - sounds like a good plan. DS will be happier with you there, and there will be plenty of distractions.
Bala - ouch, poor Tiggy. Hope all is well now.
Admiral - thanks for the advice. Not taking ibuprofen now though. Just rubbing the gel on!
ampersand - I get the delay between typing and the text appearing too. Drives me daft. I'm using a kindle tho.
Making gentle progress today. Managed some bits of jobs interspersed with lots of rest. Getting there.
Bought a tv mag. Lots of good old films on over Christmas inc lots of musicals. That's me sorted.
I see there's a request for retired teachers to return to work in the new year to help out. Hmmm. Let me think!
Happy Friday everyone
