2 long, busy days, but gratifying.

So glad you were in time for those calendars, montserratblis. They're terrific, aren't they?
1. 5 bells - up, out and over to Town of Gown for 9 supermarket and bakery food pick-ups. Huge amount today. Meriva laden. Offloaded back at base. All done by 11h.
2. Same place Tuesday - 7hr stint sorting chrimbo hampers, then 80 lovely canvas bags filled with good f+v. Everything donated, otherwise to waste/landfill - obscenity.
3. Subbing/editing/rewrites for this week's preview. New phone fitfully obliging.
4. Where was &? 'Aren't we expecting you? You're on my rota.' First & knew of it. Was barely back from collections run. Offered to help - Food Hub - could make it in 40ish mins, but all OK in the end. Carried on, 5 more articles sorted.
5. Over to rugby after osp 2, things to discuss+sort. Training night - busy, busy, busy. New mob. rang. Amazingly, & not only realised, but worked out how to answer it. Goodness moi! J and & still haven't managed to meet, so another 'holding' conversation/discussion amid players greetings et al. It will happen, sooner rather than later. Have to sort Zettle onto new phone before Saturday.

1. Work better than Tuesday - it wasn't hard to be better.
2. A small boy wanted to know where the chocolates were in the Christmas tree we have up at work. He approved of the angel on top though.
3. Text messages with my sister.
4. Enjoyed wrapping presents. DH out so everything all over the floor. Maybe with a festive drink.
5. Freezer is even emptier.13 -
For yesterday,
Better night so much more energy, good job really as equine girlie has decided that current milder temps means it’s already spring and she was bounce bounce bounce Tigger horse during work.Lainey also in town of gown yesterday but for a haircut, enjoyed a cup of tea plus tasty mince pie baked by lovely hairdressers wife.
Sat patiently as a L driver slowly reverse parked into space, smiled and gave her passenger a thumbs up who laughed and waved back, we all had to learn at some point.
Into horsey town clutching vouchers and did a treat shop at emporium, some special bottles and various wobbleades.
Extra treat of a sushi box for my tea, Capt S had been out for a festive lunch so no cooking needed.14 -

Nipped out to the surplus store yesterday as the free vouchers had arrived via the ether! £10 off for note! Got the Albatross her fire water and things! I got some tea and fiery fizzy waters! In total £26 off. Rule of the Admiral, better loose in my pocket than their greasy palms!
Bala we came home from the surplus store to see feathers everywhere in the yard! IT has taken lessons from her predecessor and removed a pigeon from the populace! She is off her food! Hence cats have three names!
Had pork pie and bits for dinner after some soup. Then a nice bowl of raspberries!
Watched another bit on the Netflux last night, Red Notice very good and recommended. The uni quiz is recorded! Fiery fizzy waters were taken and some decent cheeses consumed!

Love Mark Steel ampers for yesterday
1) the evenings are getting longer - not noticeable yet but mentally we're there (have to wait till 28th for latest sunrise)
2) went for a lovely lunchtime run with colleague - she picked me up, windows open, masks on, and went to the front
3) text from Dr M - PCR -ve, in the pub watching Arsenal
4) lovely evening, masks very much in evidence in the pub (not that my little band stopped) and table booked by Dr M for just him and me for Thursday Leicester gameand he's also booked Sunday (though news looking bleak)
5) then he walked me home but of course only to the end of the road. Said to say hi to the boys. Which I did.MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Good afternoon
S Sue - please give yourself permission to do whatever feels best for you this Christmas. That can be your Christmas present to you!
V Life - your work life sounds very difficult. It's so hard to spend several hours a day in an unpleasant environment.
Bad back still bad despite painkillers, massage gun thing kindly lent by neighbour, ibuprofen gel etc but there are occasional ' ooh, it's getting better ' moments so fingers crossed.
Supermarket today to buy rest of Christmas food. It won't be! We'll remember other things, but nominally, that's it..
Tried orzo for the first time! Only cos DD passed some on to me. Made a sort of risotto thing and we liked it! Bet the rest of you have been eating it every week for ages!
DD and DS both had bad reactions to booster this week but glad we're all done now
Happy Thursday everyone

Thanks Happycas ,Covid tests permitting I will go to DS for a couple of days ,I didn’t want to but a friend pointed out somewhat forcefully that if I don’t then DS will spend the day worrying ,60 miles away
with 15 ,nearly 13 and a 10 yr old grandson ,a delinquent puppy and a mad cat ,I’m unlikely to have time to mope .
it may not happen as a lot of their various hockey and football teams are testing positive.14
