Bedtime!Day off work.
went to local castle for breakfast.Came home and lit the fire. Then ordered logs which are coming tomorrow. Ya know…when the heavy snow is forecast!Went a big doggy walk. Thankfully just in before the very heavy rain came back on.Had cooked diced beef in the slow cooker to make a steak pie. Used up frozen carrots and the last of a bag of sweet corn…I can see space in the freezer! ( also had sprouts) dinner for one though as DD2 was out.Hoovered upstairs and downstairs.
Sorted through a pile of costume jewellery necklaces. A few to go in my charity bag.Chats with the boy child. He moves out first flat tomorrow and into a new one at end of week.Texts and photos from DD1 who’d been wilderness hiking over the weekend so I was glad she was safe! Lovely photos.12 -
Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) Not a bad sleep but a series of strange dreams from about 5.30 onwards.
2) An exciting morning! Went to Hereford with my brother. Went to the cathedral, the charity shops and had lunch in All Saints Church.
3) Then went to Ludlow (well, my brother looked round, as it took me ages to find somewhere to park the car).
4) Hens OK and another egg.
5) Smaller son had a good but busy day at college.
6) We put the tree up and I had bought some of the light up tin house thingies from M and S, which go well on our little windowsill.
7) Watched I'm a Celebrity.
8) Smaller son's football team will be playing Reading in the next FA cup match.
Here’s a Christmas window in the cafe in All Saints. The Admiral might notice a toy GWR on the left. Also my brother with hat hair.

Back at work but some pleasures.
1. Laughing with a colleague. It was at something our line manager said and neither of us could stop laughing.
2. A small cupboard had been delivered but when I opened it there was a small debt at the back of it but just visible from the top. DH contacted Wayfield about it and was immediately offered a substantial discount. We accepted it. Excellent service especially as DH didn't contact them until about 8pm.
It also looks good with the phone and router tidied away on it.
3. Quick chat with DS2
4. Tea from freezer - i am determined to create space in it.
5. A good friend of DS1has had her second baby. 10lb 1 and a little girl and all doing well.

For yesterday,
Up and out early to do a quick supermarket sweep round the emporium.
DSIL and eldest niece arrived for a trip into BuryStEd, surprise for DN who didn’t know where she was going or with whom.
Despite the rain we had great fun walking round, in and out of shops.
Stopped for lunch at Thai restaurant, we shared dishes so could try lots of different food and very tasty it was too. Smashing to see family.
We watched the draw and United are away to the Toon in the cup, youngest DSS supports NU so there may be a trip to the North East in Jan.

Good morning. Grey again!
Lainey - your family trip out sounds great, despite the rain.
DfV - please never question your ability as a mum. I know those niggling doubts, but really you're doing a great job. ( though I learnt early on - A mother's place is in the wrong!)
Bala - so pleased you're finding pleasures again.
Nothing much to report here in these grey days
Putting up Christmas decorations gradually, a few at a time. Buying endless numbers of batteries, though DH has a box of old ones removed from fairy lights last year to re-install. He's so organised!
Enjoying Strictly this year and my favourite from week one is still in.
Posted Christmas cards. Sorted early this year.
Stew for tea I think. With dumplings. Proper winter food.
Happy grey day everyone

Castle Breakfast!
Memories and Spirit.
Dumplings and Stew. Proper Foods!
Thai Foods as well.
Debt in a cupbored. We need photographic evidents!
Chuffed!
Same Old!
had the second splash of the cottage pie last night, with swede carrot mash and some broccoli. The dish goes into the dish washer and comes out again sparkling, thus protecting the delicate paws of the Albatroiss
Got the bits to finish the Bog Off! Plasterbored, tiles and coupling. Will get the drill out tomorrow, to dank to get the plasterbored cut today!
Talking of cuts, I is at the barbers tomorrow for grooming and no wax will be applied.
Started to get the cards of xmas in, and so far we have got 100% charity cards, all from the same scam. The nice card says itt gives a maximum of £200,000 to its choice, not your choice? The Admiral got my non charity cards again and sent his coffers he save directly to my choice of charity this year, SSAFA! Thus if we all collect that £4 saved by not buying the charity cards,we could send more to the ones we like! Rant Over!
Watched the goooooooners last night! Fortunately, we had some fiery fizzy waters and cheese! Enough said!
Now sat with my mug of tea and nuits of ginger Lemon sherbets are also being taken!
Jen sends her buzz!

I used to get ours from RAFBF, but this year their designs are no different, so I bought the off the shelf, and got my calendar and donation to SSAFA.
The Surplus Stores play on that people their money goes to the charity, when in fact only a maximum of some £200,000 gets it way to the charities, so each gets only £33,333! If like me I got the non ones and gave the difference, in my case was about £8! I can give this to my charity of choice!
If only 5,000 of us did this, the charity gets a lot more than if we had given our cash to the Surplus Store!I work from home so my cat can be fed on demand!12
