Large Coffee! Toast that!
Millions, wes going to make millions!
Welcome to the Q!
Hens are OK!
MHags! Sprouts. Sprouts are not proper food, on my apprenticeship the ones that were processed to go into the freezer were sorted. Those attached to the stalks were removed and sent as cattle fodder! Not available on bored! End of! I note some surplus stores now sell these stalk sprouts for a rip off price!
Crackers at that price. Minded of nana. Each got a dairy and a pen! Dairy marked with her birthday!
Monts! When yous finished the living room, quarter deck needs a scrub!
Leeward we Go!
Was out for a steak last night at the fiery water hole! Served with mushroom and toms! Very tasty it was. Fiery fizzy waters were also taken!
Good news on my Land Speed Record, the roadworks in town have slowed the Albatross down in her quest to take it back! I packed her off with her apple and sandwich!
Kitty has again adopted her winter pose and is well sat on her pouffe! It is seriously dented now! She is delicate and loves me! Yesterday I was quick to do the crossword and had that I has done it movement, putting the pad ceremoniously down on the table as she came in for her lick of the biscuit of weet, and she got startled! Paws and claws do not grip on the vinyl floor. Kitty licked her paws! The Albatross is recovering!
No report tomorrow as the Vets Breakfast club are having the turkey and trimmings! No sprouts on mine as I is getting the Salmon instead! Pud is also being had as well! Party hats will be worn! More on Saturday!
Right that is about it on deck!

1 We ran errands I returned a couple of sale tops, got our boosters, picked up the new TV, picked up ferret meds, and picked up bits to fit the curtain rail and then home for lunch.
2 The new curtain rail has caused a lot of swearing, so I plodded on washed the window as it’s clear to get to, washed the netting and curtains, currently there is a large blanket up while the plaster dries, ho hum why is diy / decorating never easy.
3 I didn’t meal plan this week but had also forgotten about the chicken in the fridge, so tonight I cooked it up with various veg in chicken soup and put it with rice it was far better than I expected. Plenty left for a different concoction tomorrow.
4 A lot of birds and I have seen the woodpecker for the first time in an age down getting thou a lot of food. We also have a very healthy-looking fox visiting, we are working on as long as he’s well fed all is okay. He has chicken skin tonight. The owl has just been hooting around, so relaxing.
5 I have just chopped up 3kg of chicken thighs and bone literally all of it is used, to portion up as part of the ferret diet, pleasure is when it’s done and frozen down, Christmas music might be playing in the background in the kitchen.

I’ve not posted for a week or so, probably because of the anticlimax of ordinary pleasures after lovely holiday pleasures!
So, let’s see:
Watching lots of old episodes of Grand Designs which had recorded whilst we were away, mostly not seen before.
Jacket potato 🥔 lunch and 3 hour catch up chat with old HT.
Hot mince pie and ice cream for pud each evening.
A win on the premium bonds, most welcome after money only going out in large sums for the last 18 months. It was £100 but better than nothing 😊
i think I’ll have to bank the last one as all I’ve got on my mind is 2 dental appointments over the next 2 days ☹️

Hello. Bedtime! Not long in from an evening at work.Busy day of in and out, in and out.Up early after a rubbish sleep. Hopefully better tonight.
In to town with DD2, she had 2 appointments. Went to a coffee shop whilst she was at first one. chatted with the owners. Then we walked to her next one and I had a mooch round nearby charity shops. Bought a dragon onesie for GNephew. Met DD2 and we walked through the park land to get back to car, enjoyed the antics of 3 squirrels.
Home briefly and a quick doggy walk then and to go and pick up mum . Went shopping. Borrowed the shops wheelchair and trolley attachment ….whizzed round! So much easier than her struggling round in foot.Home and doggy and I went a very nice walk sun was starting to set. Cracked the ice in some puddles like I’m five! Then home and time to get ready for a work event which was a nice evening and decent tips. And lots of lovely chatters with people. And home! And a soggy final walk with the dog. Cold and wet!13 -
Pleasures for today (Thursday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Hens OK.
3) Did an online museum training course.
4) Took smaller son for a drive out. Tried (and failed) to get a refund for our train tickets to Manchester. We are going to the FA cup match of local team instead.
5) Made a large batch of tomato sauce and had half with spaghetti and meatballs.
6) A funny exchange earlier on. Hereford cathedral are giving a talk next year on their enormous gurney heaters (they look like daleks). This includes a guided tour. I wrote on Instagram that could my dad have a free ticket, as he converted them to gas? I'm not sure if they will hand over a free ticket but their archivist wants to talk to him about it! It was one of the last jobs he did before he retired.
7) Smaller son modelled his coat (football team logo coat) and dressing gown. He hadn't worn them since last year. Well, I need to know where to find coats and dressing gowns for the 6 feet 3 gentleman with very long arms...12 -
For yesterday,
Woke up with a bad sinus headache which didn’t get better after breakfast so went back to bed, apparently we had some snow flurries while I was asleep.
Feeling better and had a big bowl of sweet potato soup for lunch.
Topped up the bird feeders and smiled at all the sparrows forming an orderly queue on the top of the hedge.
Spent a lovely hour or so with my designated person, she is 94 and sharp as a button with a quick wit and so many interesting stories.
Watched An Inspector Calls.11 -
For Wednesday
1. A quiet day at home.
2. Reading my book.
3. Made a couple of Christmas table decorations.
4. Picked a couple of remaining roses in the garden which are now in vases.
5. Chat with DS1 and text conversation with DS2.
For yesterday
1. Went to York for the day by train as have free rail travel. All trains were in time and not too busy.
2. Walking round York - browsing in the shops. It felt very christmassy with the market and lights.
3. Went round the museum gardens and saw ruins of an Abbey- never been to that bit before.
4. A lovely late lunch was had. Great food, atmosphere and service but not that cheap.
5. A lovely day spent with DH.

Good afternoon
V Life - the York Mystery Plays are performed in the museum gardens with the Abbey as a backdrop. Very impressive and atmospheric.
Not as cold today but very dull
For the last few days
Went with DD to wreath making session in a local bar. Lovely way to spend an evening and am very proud of my wreath.
Walked to village ( still waiting for car locks to be changed) to buy top up bits. Enjoyed seeing Christmas decorations en route.
Friend kindly took me to local shopping mall to pick up a jumper ordered pre burglary. We had a coffee and a wander whilst there but didn't buy much.
Went to our local 'posh' Chinese with DD, her partner and his parents, an event that has been two years in the planning. Had a lovely chatty evening and ate far too much.
Happy Friday everyone13 -

And then came home, lit the fire ( it was so chilly) and have sat for four hours and finished the book! And phew son has secured a new rental property. Time was ticking too tightly for my liking…however he is of course an adult but oooft!14
