    Pleasures for today (Tuesday).

    1) Good to get up after a very patchy sleep indeed! Smaller son awake most of the night, coming in frequently to ask what would happen to him if I died whilst under anaesthetic. Which was cheery!

    2) Dad's driving to the dentist. He was born and brought up in the Black Country (then worked in Dudley for 30 years) so knows every back road/cut through/lane probably not intended for cars/tow path. He does occasionally get thrown when there is a new road layout which is why we came to drive for several minutes through some random Staffs countryside, appearing by chance quite close to posh dentist town!

    3) The look on the faces of the dentists when I hadn't mentioned my weird speeding up heart problem (I didn't mention it today either, since there is nothing to be done). I was connected to a monitor which pinged at each heartbeat so of course this went. "ping ping ping ping ping ping" at 140-160 times per minute! The nurse said, "Can we turn it down a bit?!" No, they had to leave it on and suffer it!

    4) Quite a wait for the boss man who does the sedating - it seemed ages but could have been 10 minutes (ping pinging all the time). The usual battle for veins and one of the most painful bits of me now is where he finally managed to find one in my wrist. Weirdly, when I left the room and sat in the waiting room to recover, I COULD remember bits of the op. But these memories sort of flitted away while I was sitting there. Nothing unpleasant, though.

    5) While I was still sedated a bit but in the waiting room, I had a conversation with a random patient and texted and messaged lots of strange people in my address book on my phone! Then had to message them 2 hours later to apologise for the drivel.

    6) Sons managed for a few hours by themselves. I got home at 11.30 and they were just polishing off not only the pizzas I had left them for lunch (already cooked) but also the pasta bake I had left for their tea!!!

    7) Brother popped in for a bit and took smaller son to play football. Bigger son was out on his bike.

    8) Only real pain in my mouth is in what must be an injection hole. I haven't investigated too much but the back edge of my molar (which was in front of the wisdom tooth) feels as big as the white cliffs of Dover!

    9) In bed now with 2 hwb (courtesy of smaller son) and looking forward to Holby City then First Dates. Going to have a bath in a minute, which is something I never do, so that will be a treat.

Thank you for the good wishes, everyone. Tooth has been kept as a souvenir!

Goodness knows what the going rate is nowadays. Make sure it's a suitably treat-y amount for being A Brave Good Girl :-) The Find That Vein bit is NOT friendly. You did well. Old-fashioned warm briny mouthwash is still best socket swish, if anything is needed.

    1. Grass cut despite downpours.

    2. Tyre has stayed up overnight. Lovely scrapyard man most appreciative of &'s thankyou: h-m marmalade, h-g raspberry jam, fancy pair of micro brews which & luckily had in her Gifty Store.
Has given & an 'in case' replacement tyre f.o.c.

    3. Will be in London, won't be at Spits Thursday.
Luckily tracked down 26 June payment ref. as this one's Sold Out:

    4. Debadgered ))))))). Feel much more like moi. Growing old and grey gracefully aint &'s truc!

    5. So many birds for early brekkie, including 2 pairs of longtailed tits, who usually fly over and back, a.m. and p.m., with touchdown in elderberry stand down end. Today. they piled in for munch and stayed. Please eat all slugs. You need your protein along with nutty mixes and seedy bread.

2 loaves in - olives added to this seedy pair. Fierce oven. 25-ish mins of osps tippy-tapping should do it. My nose will tell me in here...hmmm, done. Look+smell lush and dropped out of their tins perfectly.
    Might have to test-drive:-)

Sweet dreams and pink icecreams to all. New book to start shortly.

Lainey, hope your poorly lab is much better soon.

1 I worked from home which was good, I could hang washing out very first thing, and at lunch I went foraging as there are so many blackberries. I only had to go a house down and ended up with 3 tubs of them, or 1.2kg as I’ve just cleaned waited for them to dry and bagged them into the freezer. I saw damson flies and the most beautiful blue flutterby. I will go for more tomorrow as I had to come back to work. I’ve heard of the thorn less blackberry’s but these certainly weren’t and very well protected by nettles. A few stings but worth it. Looking forward to getting in from work tomorrow for the next batch.

2 I worked at home to make sure we could then go out this evening to a BBQ in a pub gardens to socialise and given the weather today it would have been rude not to, and I know that DH enjoys it. But I made sure we had a slice of pizza prior just in case…

3 I food planned from the freezer, but I also just did lidl in record time of 15mins as I needed fruit, veg, milk and a chicken for the ferrets.

4 DH’s bay things have sold and are selling, the courier picked up 2 and 2 more selling tonight with more to be sold, lovely to top up the paypal funds.

    Frith it's done!
    Lainey how's your doggy today?

It's been a Wednesday most lazy but think I maybe needed a lazy day.

Work was fine . A very cold & foggy start to the day.

Walked home and then walked up to the top bakers for bread, pharmacy for a lip balm and then grocers for a turnip.

RTC steak in slow cooker will be pie & veg for tea.

DD1 has invited her friend for Christmas lunch. She will be in Wales on a Uni exchange from next month so was delighted to accept.

Caught up on some telly from the vantage point of the sofa wrapped up in a blanket with a dog curled up beside me.

    Have a good day :)

    Hi all from the train

Mhags - when are you coming back?
    Frith - glad it's done

    Pleasures for yesterday

    1. Got a load of washing done and dried - including DSs bedding as he was out all day.
    2. Did the shopping and restocked the fridge for the gannet (DS)
    3. OH's left over pork pie for tea, used up some cabbage to make coleslaw - was lush
    4. Got the 27 year old sofa out for the bin men to take. We got it off the MiL about 22 years ago for nothing so it doesn't owe us anything. Lounge will be decorated after DS leaves for uni and a new one purchased. A temporary one for the conservatory has gone in it's place, leaving the conservatory free to receive DD's stuff from her Uni flat
    5. Listening to The Men They Couldn't Hang - took me back

Was going to post a linky, but Virgin wifi not up to it...

    Have a great day
I wanna be in the room where it happens

On a day as cold damp and miserable as this one is down here I'd say you were the lucky one BOP!

    1) Trip into town where I got new waterproof trousers in a sale and they allowed DD1 to use her D of E discount card so an extra 20% off!

    2) Lovely cup of coffee out as a treat, lovely coffee shop where we got to sit in comfy leather armchairs while the rain lashed down outside.

    3) DD found the large leather bag she has been looking for 'forever' in TKMaximus at a very good price and also found a real down filled jacket for the Zebra child to grow into on the totally reduced, end of the line sale rack down to £7 from £70.....wow!

    4) Hot chocolate instead of pudding (it is a low calorie one) while the rain still lashes down.

    5) Not a bad nights sleep last night. didn't wake up hot for a change.
