1. Being slow and slack with brekkie outside this morning since 7: 2 slices toasted of yesterday's new seedy bread. 1 with new rhubarb+nectarine jam, other with latest lockdown marmalade.
2. Look! First 2 peas+more flowers😃! 💚💚
3. H-g courgette+garlic last night=yum. But when checking and picking another, found certain little blighters think so, too.🤬 More blue sweeties for them😡.
4. Hearing again Penelope Wilton's DID.
Hefty recommend😃👍:

5. 4 new-fledged blue tits and 2 green finch teens have just arrived to feed on fat balls and make this no. 5.....and oh, no! Commotion - furry interloper and squeals and squeaking. It's snatched a visitor. Quick glance, fear it is/was young blackbird, whose parent was snatched a week ago.
I will go into the back fields soon.

Pleasures for yesterday
1. A nice walk in the hills and lunch in the middle of a stream! (On a small island that was more a pile of stones)
2. Afternoon tea in Grassmere - and managing to get a parking space second time around
3. OH and i took a walk in the vicinity of where we were staying, we hadn't realised how lovely it was by the estuary
4. Happening upon a naked man who was very cheery! The pleasure was talking to him once he'd retrousered..
5. Tea in the pub up the road from us
And today
1. Leaving the house at our allotted time with little fuss
2. DS and i got back in super quick time and it was nice to be home
3. Builder has finished so it's just putting everything back and a stair carpet to order. Very pleased with (most of) it.

Hello.Been a busy day which Friday’s often are . In and out. In and out.
No work. Hurrah! Just a quick doggy walk ( pulled on a jumper over my jammies) had a shower then went back in to bed for a bit.Walked down to the letter box with doggy to post a return to sender letter.
Then ( by which time she was ready) DD2 and I went out. First of all to a charity shop in town. I’ve had stuff in my garage since before Christmas that was supposed to go a charity friends work supported then it was lockdown and then she wasn’t able to take them . So I had 2 heavy boxes of stuff ( from boss, not even my stuff). Anyway had packed the car last night and down we went and handed it in.Then down to garden centre for a cheese scone. And a couple of herbs. Then went to B and q to get paint and as some will have seen a car full of plants, they had so much reduced to 50p and £1.00. We went back in to get more. Crazy prices and most just needed re-potted ( which I’ve done already) and a decent drink. Then to mums where I cut the grass and washed the front door and did her meds. DD2 did the chatting bit. I was so uncomfortably warm. Then home. Sigh! Quick doggy walk. Then painted gate a similar colour to my front door. Just done the front facing side today and hopefully get the inside bit done tomorrow if it stays dry enough, looks much better.
Lots of planting. Started to rain but didn’t come to much so just been out with the hose.Chicken pie for tea with new potatoes and veggies. Just on my own as DD2 at work till late.Happy to see that bin men had taken a huge pile of cardboard I’d put out. Trying to clear the garage. Still full of boy stuff ( which a lot of is his dads stuff) so phoned him last night …he phoned me back whilst paddling on a loch…and had a chat about what could go and what needs to stay. Fingers crossed I get to see him next weekend.12 -
Last evening of our holiday and I’m sitting out on our little patio (1) enjoying the cool evening fresh air and birds singing. Unfortunately the sky does not look like it does in the photo (2), that was yesterday.
We enjoyed our trip to Minsmere (3) yesterday and saw little egrets, avocets , godwits and marsh harriers.
Today we visited a couple of places and had a final late lunch at a lovely pub we went to on Sunday.Back home tomorrow to see what progress has been made on the bathroom. Hope to have at least a working loo as we only have one!
Night all 💤12 -
Pleasures for today (Friday)
1) Hens OK
2) Trains to Manchester also OK
3) Up to Media City where we had our lunch in the Blue Peter garden!
4) Had a look round Salford Quays then went to the Imperial War Museum.
5) Old Trafford for a cup of tea in the Red Cafe.
6) Tram back to the hotel then we bought a posh burger and chips. Can’t believe the number of people not wearing masks here. I’d say it is 5% at home but a good 25% don’t bother here. We’ve been having meals outside.
7) Smaller son very excited that a member of the Manchester United team is stopping here! We saw him at reception as neither he nor we could make the internet work!
8) Had a bath (only have one when on holiday) and will watch the Last Leg in bed just now.12 -

Afternoon snooze, see above!

Good morning
Look/sound like good holidays, Frith, Paulie and VJ's mum.
Misty and cooler this morning. We're meeting friends for lunch at a pub by the river. Had visions of wafting about in a summer dress, drinking something long and cold! Not to be! But haven't seen them since last August so it will be lovely whatever the weather.
Haircut day yesterday. Hairdresser says that business has still not picked up properly. I'm not surprised really. I think everyone has realised when you have been 6 months with no haircut, you don't have to go so frequently. And with no nights out and no holidays, there's not much point in looking beautiful!
Nothing much to do today except meet friends - an excellent way to spend a day
Happy Saturday everyone
