VL thank you, who put so many hours in the day
Bala, thank you and glad to hear you are home and reunited with Tigs
1 It feels like the surgery day lasted a week, but I was able to bundle him in the car in the evening. he has nothing but praise for the amazing friendly staff who literally went out of their wat to make him feel comfortable, with one visiting him after his shift ended.
2 He’s napping all of the time, sleep is a healer.
3 Trying to find that medium of what he needs doing and what he can do.
4 Re jigging the meal plan to make sure it is very healthy aiming for mainly low gi at the moment.
5 The sun is out and wash loads are enjoying the sun.

Good afternoon
PK - sounds as if things are going well. My dad used to say ' You'll sleep yourself better:. It does seem to work.
Went to Asda this morning. First time in ages. Seems to have improved in our absence. No empty shelves, plenty of tills open and generally more civilised than before.
Then to the Outlet mall. Got some sandals from M+S. Only £7 and they're vegan, so if times get hard I can eat them!
I've just been to visit my friend who has had her second eye op in a month. This time she has to lie face down all day for a week! She's halfway through the week, very bored but managing to stick to it.
Won £50 on the Premium Bonds. Very exciting.
Happy Monday everyone12 -
Hello and the workety work is done! Local holiday here and we were so busy. Oooft! We had the most torrential rain last night and today but it really gives the garden so much more of a soak than the watering can does!Tips in the charity tip jar. Had lots of donations today which humbles and delights me in equal measures.Hello doggy…your happy face and waggy tail at the porch window when I come home make me so happy ( your sad eyes when I leave make me guilty!)
Hmmmm…others pleasures here, PK I’m so glad all went well and that recovery can take place at home. Lainey that’s great news about Baby. DD I’m sure I’m going to read about Mr Maybe! You sound much happier than you were a couple of months ago.10 -
For today
A lovely happy post from aptly named Happycas.
1 Food was nice, warm sardines on a sourdough slice, and Broccoli / cawli cheese with freezer dive turkey mixed in for dinner, I need to make sure it’s all low GI as DH’s glucose has gone up in response to the surgery but still in normal limits.
2 Things are catching up with me a tad, feeling rather sleepy, but did get on with vaxxing the upstairs and deep cleaning the stairs, I also need to sort out new carpet for the hallway, stairs and bathroom now. I have someone to fit it, just lacking the carpet.
3 All the little animals are happy, and all the bird feeders are full.
4 Sat with DH watching tales of the unexpected, wow memories of watching these with my mum came swimming back, I’ve been plying dh with teas and cold packs all day.

Good news for Lainey and also Mr PK.
Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) Good to get up after waking pretty much half hourly through the night (for no reason).
2) Hens OK.
3) The cooker/fridge/washing machine man arrived at 7.30. He did a good job but the old cat had left him a little mouse present that he stood on as he walked down the step!
4) Went into town and the car had its annual clean and tidy out. The displays are easier to read now they're not thick with dust. I also checked the tyres.
5) Went round the charity shops and found the perfect little wheeled suitcase for our trip to Manchester on Friday.
6) Our local team plays pre-season friendly matches and this year (at home) they are playing Manchester United! We bought our tickets instantly as that will sell out.9
