Suffolksue it's early days but you seem to be doing well. We are all here when needed whenever you need it either now or in a year's time.
1. Back much i.proved. Not as good as normal but less painkillers getting there.
2. Watching the ducks and chickens in the garden.
3. Mussels for tea -prepared ones which aren't as nice as when cooked from scratch and are only slightly quicker to cook.
4. Reading my book.
5. An early night.11 -
1) Another bright and sunny day but it's 18 degrees out there already and I think it's going to be warm today!
2) A lovely drive out yesterday afternoon the countryside here is just so beautiful and the joy for me is seeing the farmland being worked and managed properly with trimmed hedges, dug out ditches, healthy livestock and so many fields of crops and cereals and orchards in peak condition, it really is admirable.
3) Roadside verges just awash with flowers and little notices from the council in them saying 'Do not cut' just fab!
4) A good night's sleep and feeling caught up in terms of energy after the pickles staying over the past couple of weeks.
5) All your pleasures to read every day and your companionship which means a great deal so thank you all xxx.8 -
For yesterday,
Woke early and downstairs by 6am so a wander around the garden, cuppa in hand.
Quiet, peaceful day at home, caught up on all things Ambridge and then time spent in the garden with TMS on our small radio.
Bumblebees on the chive flowers and nepeta, fluffy fronds on the bronze fennel. I just pottered really but did give the roses a good feed now they are coming into flower.
Watched the latest dramatisation of the life of Anne Boleyn.
Evening walk with small dog.9 -
Well, i'm sure i posted yesterday but am bu88ered if i can see it 🙄
I distinctly remember commenting on the fab photos.. Oh well, here goes.
pleasures for the weekend
1. OH and DS left on Saturday so i had no excuse not to do the marking. I am ahead of schedule with 16 left of the current batch.
2. A BBQ in a friend's garden. and an amazing coincidence whereby two people who'd only just met discovered they grew up in the same village (which is miles away) and the parents of one lived next door to the auntie of another!
3. Didn't get too wet cycling home in the unexpected rain.
4. Some walks by the sea - one in each direction!
5. Found a holiday cottage for the next stage of the coast path in August - as none of us are going abroad any time soon. This will see off Pembrokeshire and take us into Carmathenshire. We didn't think we'd find a cottage and might have to 'plump' for a flat in Swansea so it was a real bonus.
6. Watched episode 1 of Time on BBC 1 - very, very gritty...
Have a lovely day all.I wanna be in the room where it happens8 -
Pleasures yesterday....
Arrived home from night shift, fed animals then went to bed quietly and discreetly because son had arrived home the previous night from a two day trip to Edinburgh with his girlfriend, and the two of them were sleeping in the spare room.
Got up around 12:30 to find they'd left so I had the house to myself. They'd done Korean fried chicken with spicy chilli sauce the night before, and had done most of the clearing up afterwards. Dishwasher sorted out the rest.
Took dog for walk in park to clear my post-nightshift head in the fresh air and sunshine.
Noted the grass had been cut throughout the park, and several patches had been left long. Masses of daisies, dandelions and clover covered these patches, great for the bees.
Pottered about a bit in the sunshine as much as I could. We have to make the most of warm sunny days.
Main meal was just scrambled eggs on crumpets because that was what I fancied.
Son arrived home 17:30, promised to fill me in about the Edinburgh trip but for now he was having a shower and going out again. (He told me all about it today, a great time was had staying at the Balmoral- living the high life!)
Shower, using up the remains of the complementary shower gel and shampoo I brought back from my 24 hour trip to Scotland last week.
Watching Interior Design Masters on catch up, an earlier series. All good for inspiration for home decor. One life - your life - live it!10 -
Hello. Day 2 ( 7 to go) done
Another nice day ( ya know from afar in the windowless kitchen looking outwards)
Up early and over the fields with my doggy. Just us and the birds and the buttercups.Work was worked. I like my Monday colleagues. Laughter. Singing. Chatting. Oh and someone handed in some chocolates so that was nice 😊
Tips! Pah! No one seems to carry the coins they once did!Home. Hello doggy how lovely to see you.Hot shower and jammies on. Will potter around the garden for a bit.11 -
1 Not sure this is a pleasure, the dentist did bits but the x ray un veiled a complex extraction, all booked in for next Monday now when sufficient time allocated – yikes for me thou, not enough bone for an implant, but that’s okay for now.
2 So I was able to get on mow the lawn, mop the floors, 3 animal bedding wash loads done and line dried and the extra animal run cleaned out.
3 Tea is fish with salad pots and veg.
4 The pjs I ordered for DH have arrived, the dressing gown should arrive tomorrow, putting together a hospital bag using a couple of offers.
5 We have water troughs in the garden, that were tomato plant trays, I have filled them full of water and put various toys in them for the ferrets to rescue, they love a chance to paddle. I will get a photo over the next few days.
