Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Popped to the nearest town to get some layers pellets and look in the charity shop.
3) Hens OK.
4) Garden looking good and the enormous poppy is flowering.
5) Got a load of washing done and nearly dry on the line.
6) The new neighbours showed me their shed (!) as they have plans to live in it while major works are done on the house (it is a very large brick shed with a toilet).

1. Work was reasonable and was left alone - may be why it was ok!!
2. Home late as last patient booked in late and they arrived late. I will leave earlier one day this week. It was still warm.
3. Chat with neighbour.
4. Walking round garden in the sun and flowers have come on very quickly and it's starting to look good.
5. Tea from freezer.

Good morning
Bala - still thinking of you and keeping fingers crossed.
Yesterday was glorious, and today is shaping up well
Yoga yesterday. After a gentle start following lockdown, she's sneakily making it more challenging ( but I'm pleased about that really). My friend came for her first class after her eye op. No ' head lower than heart' for her, so needed to be inventive, but she managed.
We went for coffee and cake after. Was lovely and warm so we sat outside. They had vegan cupcakes too. ( I'm trying to avoid eggs and dairy to minimise sinus problems and it does seem to be helping)
Boiler service done. Tick!
Finally changed to the lighter duvet. Was much more comfortable last night.
Another sunny day here. Will be doing bits and bobs to get ready for going to the caravan tomorrow. Hope that doesn't jinx the weather😀
Happy 🌞🌞🌞 day everyone

For yesterday,
Washing done and DLB ( dirty linen basket ) empty, love summer and line drying.
Over to see the beautiful grey one, we worked in the school where she had a lot to cope with as men working on trees just up the track and then the muck lorry turned up to empty the heap which is right next to the arena, she was a bit looky but behaved bless her heart.
Home and we had our main meal at lunchtime due to Capt S’s work commitments, feta and spinach filo pie with various salads, tasty.
Into horsey town for emporium visit, nice and quiet with a few rtc bargains inc organic chicken for freezer.
Just me and small dog for evening walk, now the hotter weather is here she only goes out early morning and then again in the evening.

1) A good night's sleep and waking up rested and refreshed this morning.
2) Time spent with DD and Granddaughter yesterday afternoon after fetching them from Tumble Tots to avoid them having to use the busses. Cup of tea in the garden and playing with he girlie was lovely. Going to be transport for the rest of the term.
3) Made the first wholemeal loaf in the new bread maker and it's turned out really well.
4) Browsing my wartime cookery books for recipes that taste good but use lesser amounts of ingredients both for our health and to try to lose the covid additional 'me' that is currently here.
5) Living here, village life suits us very well and people are kind and pleasant, we're pretty self sufficient as a community and there are lovely walks in every direction we turn from the house. We have enough shops to cover most things we might need and life is good!8 -
Oh Happycas - you've reminded me that i need to do yoga. I conveniently forgot!
Argh, Tumble Tots - only one of two places my generally angelic little boy played up (the other one was swimming lessons)
Pleasures for yesterday
1. A good marking stint - 10 down, 6 left
2. A long walk up to the broadwater (an inlet from the sea and is beautiful as you see the hills and mountains in the near distance), through the woods and back along a back lane. 4 miles in all which is enough for now after last week. Didn't see the otters that are meant to be around though
3. omelette for lunch followed by veggie cassoulet for tea - still using things up and little spent on food so far.
4. A friend popped in for a cuppa - he's working from home in a village a couple of miles away.
5. Caught up the final Call the Midwife and the anniversary special. Such a fabulous programme.
6. The best news - DD went for a job last week and found out yesterday that she got it! Away from retail and with a fabulous large company with many opportunities to progress. Such a confidence boost for her and we are all thrilled.
Have a great day all.I wanna be in the room where it happens12 -
Hello. Day three done ( six more to go...sigh)
Work was worked and it was okay. There were twice as many tips as yesterday so that’s more like it and in the jar.Hot shower then a cold blast and jammies on as I ain’t going further than the back garden!Lovely doggy walk first thing just us and the birds. Went a bit further than last few days, I really struggled getting going this morning and could quite easily have just went for a quick walk but glad I did a bigger one. Then I nipped home for 20 minutes mid morning to let him out as DD2 was working and too long to leave him...he’d obviously been snoozing on a bed as he came downstairs looking sleepy when I came in!Right a third of the days are done!11 -
Vjsmum, Congratulations to your DD.
The dentist takes our grocery budget for this month, ah well we have well stocked reduced things in the freezer.
1 I was going to mow and just didn’t as I was admiring the daisies and buttercups, and the ferrets were surfing through it enjoying, so I didn’t but will need to in a couple of days.
2 We had a hm burger for lunch using everything from the freezer including rolls.
3 I started on de cluttering the spare room bed where everything gets dumped, honestly I spent an hour doing it and it feels like I haven’t made much of a dent, but at least it is started on. It’s odd things like we have something like oh 10 full size fleeces that we were going to re cover the caravan seats with but now, that’s the next caravan, where do we put them in the meantime, wow thou they are so soft? Also lovely people have gifted us various animal bedding, but that is a lot of bedding to the point of I am going to gift some on to a rescue run by friends of ours. You get the idea, it’s not awful, but at the same time there is a bed under there somewhere.
4 Quirky place hunting is still going on, so far nothing that makes us view, but that’s good to be honest as we carry on with this place. But I’m going through the sites daily at the moment.
5 Dinner, is from the freezer kiev, frozen veg mixed into pasta and using up leftover pesto, I do admit there was some grated cheese topping.
6 My arm weights are actually being used by me rather than being table decorations / paperweight, using you tube to follow a 10 min class which is more than enough for my arms at the mo.
