Good afternoon. Third sunny day in a row!
Bala - where are you? I hope things are not too difficult for you.
Yesterday
Caught up with housework and some bits of gardening. And made a chocolate cake
Went to see DD in the afternoon. Was lovely in her warm sheltered garden to sit and have a natter. Came away with some goose eggs ( not her geese! Her friend's) and some garden cushions for me to re-cover.
Today
Did I mention it's sunny?
DGD came for help with French homework. She didn't actually need help with the French, just someone to say 'Does that spelling look right to you?' now and again. But it was great to spend some time with her. We've lots of catching up to do.
Bit of reading in the sun this afternoon, I think.
Happy 🌞 day everyone

Hello.Bedtime. Which is a later than normal one For me on a Sunday night! I’m usually conked out by now.
up early for work. Nice doggy walk then had to retrace our steps as I’d dropped poo bag! And back again. He had breakfast, I went to work.A steady day, that just ticked along nicely. Bought a wreath for my front door that will compliment the colour of front door. Get stafff discount and I’d counted my tips last night so have enough. Just need to transfer them into bank account at some point. And talking of tips. Meh. But in the jar. Clink clink.Did a prototype of a new product for work. But we’d no scones, so I said I’d make them at home and do a photo shoot in the garden. It was all very much last minute brainstorming to do something extra for bank holiday and we’ve already got a good few orders for the morning...oh and I had scones and fruit for pudding!I’d nipped home late morning to let doggy out, we’d a quick walk with poo bags this time! He’d his banana ( with tablets in it) then went back to sleep as I went back to work! Oooft it was warm already, then back inside to a windowless kitchen. With everyone who came in saying what a beautiful day it was!
Dd2 had dinner prepped and just ready to go on when I came in. We had breaded chicken and salad and peas and sweet corn.We sat out in the garden and chatted with a dog squeezed between us. Was lovely until the midges came out and I went in.Had a quick chat with DD1 when I came home mid morning as she’s almost ready to leave quarantine and will be out when I get up in the morning. She’s met some lovely people and is having a proper dinner with them her Monday night ( quarantine food has been an issue for them all)
Had a cool shower instead of a hot shower! Been a lovely day here. Long may it continue.11 -
1) 7:15am found me outside for my run 3 week 9 of the C25K hooray managed 5.67k including the two 5 min walks either side of the 30 min run - another 18 weeks to the10k - I am immensely proud of myself (and amazed)
2) after church and Mr T mum and I stopped off for a coffee at the botanics - we sat outside, it was lovely - then we went for a walk round the garden - very hard to believe it celebrated 50 years last year. we got given sunflower plants
3) walked the dogs up balgay and did a litter-pick - gets addictive!
4) dr garden had invited me to the pub 5 onwards - got there 6ish, hadn't realised dr no was coming too, he bought me a drink (!) and invited me to watch the football with him and mr geography on wednesday.
5) we left together but i declined getting the bus (though last time i did that it turned out to be the last trip to the pub before lockdown last March). managed to get half way home before the bus sailed past (he lives 10 mins further down the road). Cooked a very delicious kedgeree with ys haddock for supper, watched Call the Midwife and now in bed. Night all.

Hello All
Dad not good at all.
My brother spoke in person to the consultant today. I just want to shut my ears. Cannot trust myself to say anymore.
Thank you for thinking of me. Hope you are all well.

Bala - thinking of you. So sorry that you are going through this. I hope your Dad's pain is being managed better now.
1. Went to a nearby garden that we hadn't been to before. We both enjoyed it and the coffee and cake were good. There was a rock garden there and we think the rocks used were probably quarryed from a quarry pot up our road.
2. Gorgeous views from the garden too.
3. Chat with neighbours when we got back over the garden fence.
4. Watched some rugby Harlequins women beat Saracens to become champions.
5. A patch of garden under the cobnut trees was tidied by me and looks better. This morning I could see the plants I had planted from a distance.11 -
Great going on the running DD!
Bala, sorry that things are so tough at the moment.
For yesterday,
The early morning mist quickly burnt off and it was another warm, sunny day.
Met up with both stepsons and a lovely gf, we enjoyed breakfast outside at the local museum’s courtyard restaurant, great to see them all.
Rest of the day was spent in the garden, hello suncream and sun hat ☺️The nepeta continues its quest to take over the world so cut an armful off and filled a couple of vases in the house.
Afternoon treat, a double caramel version of the well known choccy ice-cream, very tasty and small dog got to lick the stick.10 -
1) It's due to be nice again today once the early morning overcast clears.
2) I put heavy towels out on the line yesterday after lunch and they were bone dry by 5. It's one of my favourite jobs to get things in off the line when they're dry, I love the smell. Have changed bedding this morning and that will be going out as soon as the machine is finished so I get that pleasure two days running!
3) Lovely evening walk round the lake and back through the village, temperature just right and comfy and wild flowers in profusion on the banks and under the trees in the woods.
4) We had a nice drive out and into Wales yesterday morning it's a beautiful place and we drove back into Herefordshire and down into Gloucestershire, a wonderful day with piercing blue sky and such gorgeous scenery everywhere we passed.
5) Won a Bing bunny on e.bay for our little Granddaughter, sending it direct so she can open the parcel herself...oh she does love Bing!9 -
Bala, thoughts are with you all don't forget we are here for the ups and downs. xFor yesterday
1 Up and grilled sarnie
2 Then more travelling, over to in laws and off to a baptism, I have to admit I have never attended a baptism before and this one was a really lovely service.
3 We went to a pub garden with the baptism gathering for our first time in literally years.
4 Lovely time spent with inlaws they are honestly great company.

Hello
Bala - I'm sorry to hear you're struggling. Love and hugs for you and your dad x
Pleasures one to infinity ( and beyond!) The weather. A perfect English summer's day. Blue skies, very high fluffy clouds, a gentle breeze and sun.
And then the pleasure of having a garden to sit in , and no need to go anywhere on a bank holiday
And the garden looking so lush, thanks to all the rain I moaned about at the time.
"Sat on a cushion and sewed a fine seam" ( actually DD's garden cushions)
And soon shall "feast upon strawberries, sugar and cream"
What more can anyone ask for
Happy summer's day everyone12 -
Just lost my post so I’ll just send best wishes to Bala and join Hapycas in making my pleasures this glorious day ☀️😘13
