Hello ( not hell as was written yesterday...I’ve just edited it!) just came up to bed ( not necessarily to sleep but I’ve been up since 4am and have another early start tomorrow so just more to rest then hopefully sleep.Early doggy walk , we go as far as is needed for business to be done then back.Work...loads to do this morning but I walked there at 5.15am when a jumper and a gilet were necessary and back at 9.30am when i felt a tad overdressed! Lovely gardens. Lovely birds. Had a chat with someone I was at school with. She asked where’s the dog? Well hopefully at home! I’ve been at work.Sat in the garden and ate some oatcakes. It was warm then it got a bit cool and I went inside and dozed off watching something. Woke up from a very real dream ( that had far too many non mask wearing people in it) and felt a bit discombobulated for a few moments.Friend called so chatted to her.I too watched the birds in the garden. Blue tits which are unusual visitors. Though I did see them about just not usually in my garden.DD2 went to her granny’s for a couple of hours ( this was not her pleasure) and then picked me up and we went to lidl, going to try and meal plan a bit as we’ve kind of got out the way of regular proper dinners. As we were down that end of town we went and got ice cream then sat in the garden and ate some. A very pleasant evening. Sat and chattered, dog at our feet on the garden sofa.11

at least they have you as a neighbour now Frith
lol re the lack of mask-wearing in your dream mhags
1) slept till 8:57 - must have needed it as my nan would have said
2) lovely bath with half a lush bath bomb - so i now have 1.5 left. I skim read Marie Kondo and feel inspired - went very well last time (hence only needing to skim this time) but things are starting to build up again
3) stripped ds's bed and cleaned the room - always nice cleaning on a sunny day - and found the missing bit from my newish vacuum cleaner hooray
4) lunch in the botanics with gbf then a litter walk with him and the dogs - gbf bought lunch and I bought icecreams at the end of the litter-pick
5) Marie Kondo'd the kitchen cupboards - 3 bags for the charity shop - we have a cancer mega one just opened so I am determined to go after church each week
And now watching the Champions League final - couldn't get a seat booked in the pub (Dr No and Mr Geography got the very last two) and decided not to risk going on the off-chance - have seen too many turned away. I miss the football banter with BOP - i hope he's OKMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Vjsmum, Travelling to Pembrokeshire on a bank holiday weekend is brave. It’s where we are searching for property.
1 Booked two ferrets in for their distemper jabs, I’ve been meaning to do it for a while.
2 I’ve put off and put off doing the tax report, it’s all done and filed. Phew. I I even used it as an opportunity to check throu the instructions I’ve left for DH if I happen to shuffle and it all works.
3 I went out into the garden, then came back in until it cooled a tad, then I dug the shed border, after that I got the bulbs that have been and gone in pots into the ground.
4 Easy oven pizza was tea.

Gawd help them, DD ! (Smaller son watched the football also).
Pleasures for today (Saturday)
1) A lie in.
2) Did various bits round the house. Cleaned the bathroom, Cut some fresh lilac for the vase.
3) Hens OK.
4) Visitations from both cats throughout the day.
5) Not really a pleasure, but finally sorted out the printer. What a pain having to connect it to the router then download a printer driver. After all that, the couple of photos I printed out were weirdly faded. Still, I changed the photos of sons in my purse so the 2011 ones have been updated!
6) New neighbours have been cleaning all day but are quiet, no yapping dogs and neither has been arrested yet, so that is already an improvement!
7) My brother popped round for a cup of tea and I had made some brownies. One of my mum's best friends died last week so that is on their minds - she had only received a diagnosis of cancer the week before.
8) Porridge for breakfast with extra for the hens, part baked rolls for lunch (a smaller son favourite) then BBQ ribs, potato salad and corn on the cobs for tea.
9) A double episode of Casualty.
10) In bed with no hwb but with the fan on, while I acclimatise to the sudden warm spell.11 -
1. Watched rugby. It was fantastic watching it live. Atmosphere was great. We won with a bonus point so are now in the semi finals. It felt good and normal. It was very well organised and people were well spaced out..
2. Bbq with DS1 and girlfriend. We had a good time. Starting to get to know her better.
3. Fire pit needed to keep warm by the end!!
4. Ducks happily stayed in the garden with us.
5. DS2 is a happy Chelsea supporter.9 -
Morning all.
PK - regrettably one of our party works in a school so we're stuck with school holidays...
Pleasures for yesterday
1. We walked just under 13 miles of coast path from Newgale beach to St brides. Frustratingly we are two miles short of half way - but we will cross that milestone today
2. Finished with a swift half at a pub
3. The sun shone for most of it
4. OH cooked roast beef for tea
5. Reading my book - the beekeeper of Aleppo
Have a great day all. Enjoy the sunshine 🌞I wanna be in the room where it happens9 -
Missing BOP too DD.
For yesterday,
We had sunshine and lots of it.
Spent the morning with Princess pony, she had had a fine old time rolling in all sorts so plenty for me to do, finally got out and had a walk around the fields.
Lunch in the garden, just salady bits with sausage rolls. Capt S had cut the grass while I was out and it’s looking very green after all the rain we’ve had.
Most of the afternoon just pottering around outside, washed the bird feeders and left them to dry before refilling, gave the herbs in pots a good feed, like Mhags my chives have lots of flowers on but not the thyme, hopefully the forecasted warm spell will do the trick.
Also watched the footie, ambivalent about the result but enjoyed the match.

Trying for some sort of normality
1 been walking with two friends every morning, they have one good knee between them so it’s not fast or far but it helps.
2 sunny and warm yesterday, got 2/3 of grass cut before battery ran out ,Rest today .
3 finally finished leftovers from the wake ,now back to clearing UFO s from freezer .
4 pulled all the rhubarb, loads in freezer, will offer some to my walking companions this morning, then make a crumble for my elderly neighbour.
5 finally making progress on writing letters to friends.12 -
Pleasures yesterday centred around family guests, who I hadn't seen since January 2020.
Seeing everyone fit and well. Nephews aged 11 and 13, the 11 year old has grown steadily but the 13 year old has clearly been drinking the Miracle Gro, he's a foot taller since I last saw him.
Being complimented on the decor - kitchen and dining room redecorated a few weeks ago, and living room was done last Spring prior to lockdown. Son thinks my taste is weird, but my stepson and his family love the colours.
Planned weekend meals went down well.
Guests took dog out for walkies, over an hour. Shattered guests, one happy doggy.
Lounging and chatting in the sunshine.
Cocktails at 17:00.
Introducing family to a fun TV programme on Netflix, the German version of the karaoke competition Sing On, followed by intriguing French film "Nowhere to Hide." Imagine being at a dinner party and you all put your mobile phones in the middle of the table. Whenever a call, email or text comes in, it has to be answered on speakerphone or read out loud to everybody. Would you be happy doing that?
Son, with help from nephews, made Korean fried chicken with spicy chilli sauce as a TV snack. I was kind and helped him load up the dishwasher and clean everything down before we went to bed.
One life - your life - live it!10 -
1) Waking up to the most beautiful warm and sunny day that's due to be with us all day...the stuff of dreams!
2) A really lovely evening walk yesterday, so warm and meeting a most magnificent horse called Hooper as he hacked back up to his stable with his dad, a gentle giant and a new friend.
3) My little granddaughter slept most of the night in the toddler bed from the nursery here that we took over yesterday afternoon, highly delighted to have a 'big girls bed' and not a word about where's my cot gone.
4) We had a long session in the garden yesterday and trimmed hedges, lopped trees, planted out and it looks lovely, I'm looking forward to spending a lot of today out there enjoying it.
5) Fresh brewed coffee both for the smell and the drinking of!9
