1. It was sunny at 6am so walked round the garden with a coffee. Too cold to sit though.
2. Work happened - another day less I have too do. I gave a young colleague some plants- spider plants and a money plant as she has recently moved into a flat. She was pleased and knew where she would put them.
3. Chat with neighbour. She enjoyed her weekend at her daughters.
4. We have tickets for another rugby match - last home game of the season.. That's both of the ones with fans that we have been lucky enough to get tickets for.
5. Enjoyed tea. Starting eating what is in the freezer with some fresh veg.10 -
Morning! Not sure why I didn’t post last night.Yesterday was my first day off and I’m quite happy just catching up around for the house and being close to the doggy after two days away from him. DD2 was at work so it was just the two of us.Had a nice chat with DD1, 5 more days of quarantine. Had had a chat with son the night before. And DD2 just always chatters! So all caught up on everyone’s news!Good chat with good friend in Melbourne. They have new restrictions as there have been a few ( and I mean a few) new cases of Covid and they just straight away dealt with it. Always nice to catch up with her news.
Managed to get two loads of washing almost dry. The rain!!! Well it was just splodges when I went out and I did kind of think oh it will be nothing but brought washing in anyway. One minute later it was torrential! Phew said me!Had some very RTC cottage pie that was in the freezer for my tea. As DD2 was out with a friend.Had a nice big doggy walk earlier. Met OH best friend and his dogs. So my doggy and his doggies are very vocal in their hellos! ( much barking ...except my doggy has a very deep and very loud bark) Lady with her doggy across the road looking very concerned at this verbal attack from my dog and I had to shout over ‘ it’s alright they’re friends!’ It’s just how they say hello!Do have a lovely day. We have dull at the moment with showers forecast,12 -
For yesterday,
Rough night but had to be up early so scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast.
We had an electrician coming to change out some lights, popped small dog in home office with her Dad, she’s too friendly at times and can get in the way when she keeps saying hello ☺️Cleaned bathrooms as he was working so they are done. He was very thorough and cleaned up afterwards which is a big plus in my book.
Afternoon snooze on the sofa, small dog had sneaked up with me so woke up with a spaniel’s nose in my face.
A nearly full moon peeking out from behind a cloud.11 -
Ooh we’d dropped off the first page! Had to look for 5 OSP
Bedtime and alarm is set for early o’clock as I’ve a wee stint at work in the morning.
Busy day. Up early with doggy then came back to bed for a bit. Caught up on some programmes.
Went to garden centre for a scone and some plants.
Got some more plants in B and q and nails...that I later hammered into fence panels which had came loose.Went to Asd@ for the first time in at least a year I’d say! Only as it was near the nail shop! Mum had sent me a list of things to get so just went in there.
Then to mums.
Back home. Planted the plants. Swept up. Did a bit of weeding.
Went to allotment to clear my plots. I’ve decided to give someone else the pleasure of allotmenting. I just currently don’t have the time and a week goes by and another and I haven’t been. Plus I’ve now got a veg patch of my own which I didn’t have back then. It was a very good place for me to be that first year I was back. Gave me a lot of headspace, met new people and I’m grateful for that.Anyway home with foxgloves, raspberries, strawberries, chives. That will all be replanted and hopefully grow well in my garden. The chives are just at the point of almost bursting in to flower. Love the wee pom-pom flowers. I had hummed and hawed when it was time to renew membership and I should probably have went with my gut instinct and not my heart and not renewed! But hey ho, there’s a waiting list so someone can have the pleasure of weeding!Popped into supermarket on way home and got another lovely bunch of RTC flowers. I love flowers and always have them in the house. When I was a girl aged about 9 I made the decision when I was older I would always have flowers in my home. And since I was about 16 I always have.11 -
Not posted for a few days as RL got in the way (night time call outs x 2 to elderly neighbour who had fallen, lots of calls to do with her and a family death) so not too many pleasures ☹️
Today, however, my sister and I went to nearby garden where they have RHS collections of irises and crocus as well as other interesting bits including the market cross from the local town, rescued from a builders yard! It is a lovely garden with many beautiful and unusual plants and areas including the lunatic asylum garden 🤣🤣. An added pleasure was that we met our niece there, we had not seen her for about 18 months 😊. Also saw my old headteacher there who I have nor seen since last summer 😊 After a cuppa my sister came back to mine for lunch 🥗
It was a nice break away from recent stresses and took my mind of my dental appointment this evening, which is my real phobia ☹️ It wasn’t too bad but there are lots more to come ☹️
Night all 💤10 -

4) Hens OK.
5) Went to town with my brother for the charity shops and found a Seasalt tunic top for £1.
6) Smaller son had made spaghetti bolognese at college so we enjoyed that.
7) Watched the Great British Sewing Be.
8) Man Utd (smaller son's big team) have just lost 11-10 on penalties as their goalie didn't score (!) I can actually hear smaller son breathing from upstairs!11 -

3) stir fry using leftovers hooray and made enough for tomorrow's lunch and tea
4) pub to watch the man u game. rather dull but good company. current kick out time is10:30 at which point mr geographyand mr pharmacist ran home cos they live closest to the pub so could get back to watch the penalites. dr no listened to the penalties on his phone and updated me as we walked home. then we got to the bottom of my road so he put his phone on the school wall and we listened rapt. when the commentator said one penalty shoot out had gone on 45 minutes he said he was leaving at 15-15 lol. a memorable way to follow the last minutes of the Europa
5) home to the boys and the lovely smell of hm curry - had forgotten i'd cooked potato and chickpea curry before i left
mr geography and dr no are booked for saturday's final but they got the very last seats so will need to watch that at homeMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

For yesterday,
A better nights sleep and woke up feeling refreshed.
Spent the morning with the beautiful grey one, bit of work in the school and then we walked around the paddocks, no sign of the deer but the cuckoo was making his presence known.
We had our main meal at lunchtime as Capt S was taking his eldest to train station around 6, trouble is having a full tum made me sleepy despite no1!
Woke up ☺️ and went out to work in garden, all my salad seeds are sprouting and I will get some tomato plants this weekend.
The evening clouds cleared and by bedtime the super moon could be seen, put my crystals out to recharge.9 -
For yesterday
1 Food delivery all done dusted and snaffled away.
2 Then, we travelled over to the in laws, nice company all around, started on helping them to clear a few bits.
3 They fed and watered us and rolled us out of the door.
4 DH has had a letter through for a pre op assessment this is er sort of great ish apprehensively, but it leads onto it would be nice to know when the op is, as he will be out of action for 6 months. And I need to make some plans to stop him going stir crazy some how.
5 Gazing at the supermoon on the drive home.
For today
1 A lovely chap came to pick up and pay for our ebay item, the ladies walking passed were nigh on swooning.
2 I got on with weeding, tidying and mowing the front and back lawns, it seemed like everyone was doing the same all around. Borders will need sorting out, but I’ve moved that too tomorrows to do list.
3 A couple of wash loads hung out in the glorious weather.
4 Grilled chicken with tikka rub with new pots and salad as we need to counter act the rather large and many cream cakes from the in law visit, I know we didn’t have to eat them but we did with both lunch and tea and then made sure there were no leftovers.
