epic post dfv many hugs suffolksue time is funny re posting when every day is Blursday, a day lasts a month and a month is over in a day villagelife and so for yesterday
1) woke at 6:30 after good night's sleep and listening to Nigel Owens on Farming Today, very good, then did my run - #3 week 8 C25K so 3rd run of 5 mins fast walk, 28 mins jog, 5 mins fast walk - as got back to house before end of walk run 2 extended loop and got back to house spot on end of 38 minutes. 5k covered yay
2) 9am service followed by coffee with mum and friend - her daughter's wedding is 8th June (3rd time of organising) and she is anxiously watching the Fife numbers
3) stressful time with dd2 who has to get her dissertation in by midnight Tuesday - as she hasn't been allowed into the lab at all the practical element has been challenging to impossible, so writing up no results difficult. we had a chat about how she might handle that - still a long way to go, and too much outside stress (best friend's mum died early Saturday morning, boyfriend bleuh) so mum and i trying to be there for her but not too much
4) after yummy hm italian white bean and tomato soup, mum and i did some gardening - my bulbs are in at last (a month later than i had planned but it has been sooooo wet) and my brown bin (garden waste) nearly full
5) dr no had emailed to say he'd booked a table for 3:30 for the Leicester game so checked with DD2 OK for me to go (yes) - not that it did Leicester much good. another friend arrived for 2nd half. Stayed for one more drink to drown our sorrows and got home just in time for mum picking up ds and his cat to take him to the station to go back to Aberdeen. then home, walked the dogs, phoned xoh, cooked supper, watched in pursuit of love, very good night's sleep and woke to rain

Pleased that all went well SSue and aww to distraction of puppy.
Good to see you DFV.
For yesterday,
1-5 Spent a few hours at DB’s for a meal, to be with your loved ones, to eat with them and not have to keep looking up at threatening skies, to laugh, reminisce about days gone by and yes, to have those hugs, precious pleasures indeed.13 -
Okay, need to put this out there as I am desperate
They have not located source of my father's pain. Blaming it on Spinal Stenosis when he has no pins and needles, no pain on manipulation of hip and all flexing. Nothing that is classically linked to Spinal Stenosis.
The Doctor that came to the house and had him admitted for 2nd time (they had chucked him out after 8 hours a few days before) also agreed with me that his pain (left hip radiating up the side of his body) and the speed/ferocity at which it hit did not seem to indicate anything muscular/skeletal. The physiotherapist this morning agreed also.
He is now confused (physiotherapist agrees) and he has NEVER ever been confused.
They are not monitoring his intake of fluids or food in any organised fashion even though his diabetes has dipped very low twice.
He managed to walk a little today with help and a walker even though for 2 days running he collapsed when trying to walk, they are getting ready to send him home. With..
Agonising pain. Medication morphine based at the moment so pain dulled.
Loss of weight. Significant loss.
Confusion.
etc etc etc
Have spoken to consultant and 2 doctors. If anyone can help with advice as to who to talk to because am at my wits end.

I suspect village life would have helpful input, Bala.

Spoke intensely to a nurse. Got to speak to consultant again. Dad had stomach pains today and he told my sister he was afraid. I could have cried. Consultant promised endoscopy and to contact rheumatology dept. Better than chucking him out again. He has a calm firm manner. I reciprocated in kind. He agreed it's not spinal stenosis causing pain. I won't forget that he and his doctor's have been trying to fob me off with that all week. Dad is very anaemic. Iron deficiency.
Also tried to convince me that sometimes source of pain is never found. Well it won't get found if you don't look for it. Dad finally on a drip. Am never going to give up.
Will contact Pals tomorrow.
From my heart, thank you.
