Not posted for ages, but my pleasures today were :-
1 - second yoga class this morning, can only manage the gentle class now but I'm so glad to be back.
2 - Load of washing for DiL as her kitchen being refitted and no WM. I got it out on the line, all dry and smells lovely3 - My Lantana plug plants have been planted out as they're big enough now4 - Visit to DS1 me came away with a nice piece of ham he'd cooked and some potato salad and coleslaw5 - Easy dinner for DH of ham, egg & chips. Not something he has very often but he did enjoy itSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle13 -
SSue, thank you, it’s nice to have some sort of idea of a possible timeframe.
Boazu, Really lovely pleasures that made me smile.
Bala, Thinking of you all.
I’m not going to lie, things are a bit stressed up here in all sorts of underlying ways, ongoing pain and other frustrations, but finding pleasures helps, and of course it will all pass.
1 A nice food day, we had some artisan sourdough bread from the freezer that was delicious with grilled bacon. I did a sweet chilli burger with egg in a cheese roll with onion rings and garlic bread for dinner, it was a bit beige but at least homemade.
2 I got some bits dealt with, ebay queries, annual payments out, and a refund request from me to Asda which was all okayed.
3 A cuppa, a few loads in from the line and another few loads out. Then I got on with weeding the garden border, I looked daft, something has happened to my left knee I can’t kneel on it at all but have a squidgy cushion that seems to help but ended up standing might need to invest in a standing weeder type thing??. I’m hoping its an irritant that will pass. It was helped by a pit stop for tea and 3 squares of green and blacks white chocolate 😊
4 Saved a little amazing looking beetle after it landed in the bird bath, thankfully it was fine.

Hello .Bedtime. Alarm set for far too early tomorrow but lots to be done first thing at work.In at work early this morning after an early morning doggy walk. Walked to work and will again tomorrow. It’s actually stayed mainly dry , we had a tiny shower about 6pm but didn’t last long.Went up to one of our local castles ( we have a few) for a roll and sliced sausage. Yummy. Sat and admired the views and heard the skirl of bagpipes from outside...must have been a wedding. Then round to mums. Big sigh at the state of the kitchen. Tidied it as best I could.
Chatted to her next door neighbour.Home and cut the grass, it probably could have gone a few more days but I wanted to get grass seed sown so thought it best to cut first them sow. Tidied the edges. The garden looks nice, lots growing and lots more to grow. Sunflower seeds planted by DD2 tonight.
Bit of worky stuff to do. Customers to call/email.Had the last of a piece of leftover from work lemon cake whilst I watched GB seeing bee.Had a mini snoozette. Just 20 minutes but enough to be restorative.Got my appointment for second vaccine but it’s a date that doesn’t really suit, was in a phone queue to try and change it for almost half an hour. All that was on offer was 15 minutes later! Sigh!Anyway a less eventful day than yesterday thankfully.11 -

Pleasures for today (Friday)
1) A lie in!
2) Got 2 loads of washing done and the house is quite tidy.
3) Posted 2 Ebay sales.
4) Finished off in the garden, pruning, moving a couple of plants and generally throwing compost about and tidying up.
5) Old neighbour was moving out so I made him a cup of tea. I'd never actually made him a cup of tea before!
6) Hens OK.
7) Popped to PC World to use some vouchers that I had had for months and bought some new printer cartridges and paper.
8) Chips from the van for tea then smaller son and I made a banoffee pie, but with strawberries.
9) Met the new man next door. Badly timed as he was on the verge of tears. When I moved in here (1999!) the couple who owned it had just had it extended but it was all a bit cheap and cheerful. It has a 50 metre long garden that they had sectioned into soft fruit and vegetable areas with some home made crazy paving and little raised beds here and there. 2 men have lived there since 2003 (consecutively), nice but gormless with huge numbers of children. Literally not one single thing has been done to the house since 1999. The roof regularly sends a tile flying down to smash on the road. The kitchen and bathroom are wrecked. The crazy paving has settled at different angles so has had pieces of carpet thrown over it. The garden was literally hacked back last year (most had been impassable for 10 years) and is vaguely grassed over now.
Anyway, new bloke opened the door to find not only that everything is in a terrible condition but also that it had not been cleaned at all. To the point we are talking about animal mess. He had to put all the furniture that he could in the sheds and they are cleaning it now.
10) Had to laugh earlier as I had a look out of the window to see how they are getting on and was concerned that their ginger cat was still lying on a box in their kitchen. It hadn't moved for hours. Called smaller son and it is a screenprint of a dog on a cushion! He said, "It's 2D!"11 -
Frith. How awful for the new neighbour
PK. Hope it all passes quickly
Pleasures for yesterday
1. No ill effects from 2nd vaccination on Thursday
2. A frustrating journey to Pembrokeshire. It really is the end of the world down here. Anyhow the pleasure is that we arrived
3. Cottage is hilariously awfully decorated
4. Friends have also arrived so we are good to go hiking the coast path
5. Nice meal of cheeses cold meats and breads etc. And wine of course 😋
Have a good day allI wanna be in the room where it happens12 -
Good morning. It's 🌞🌞🌞
PK - hoping things seem a little brighter today.
Yesterday
Our fortnightly market trip. Lots of lovely meat and loads of fruit and veg. Love summer fruit so bought loads.
Able to go for a coffee afterwards, inside! Though it was warm enough to be outside!
Finished washing caravan bedding etc. Not too bad for a mostly rainy week. Now planning when we can return.
DS came to show us his new car ( and eat all our biscuits) The car is lovely but huge. I'm glad I'm not having to park it!
Happy 🌞 Saturday everyone9 -
Those poor neighbours Frith.
For yesterday,
Sore face with blocked sinuses, out to the chemist for medication and then massaged face with lavender oil.
Quiet day due to above but did manage to get a few bits done including hoovering and wiping down tops of wardrobes.
Also changed bed, inc mattress & pillow protectors, and got them washed although the rain in the afternoon stopped them being complete dried outside.
Watched the Friends reunion ( goodness how tight were those faces! ) and then read my book.
Downloaded the latest pics from the trail cam and it had caught the deer coming into the garden in the middle of the night.

1. Met a friend. We had coffee and look round the shops. We hadn't seen each other in over a year.
2. Long chat with a neighbour as I'm looking after their cats for a few days.
3. Watching ducks in the garden. They have been around for about a week and watching them waddle about is great.
4. Glass of wine in the garden with DH.
5. Pizza for tea.

1) An early wake up when the world was still and pearly with a slight mist and oh so quiet, enjoyed the peace for a few minutes and then a hot cuppa (or two) and a hot shower made for a lovely start to the day.
2) The fresh smell in the garden when I opened the back door this morning, of green and growing things.
3) A blackbird diligently picking up scraps of things under the bird table stopped in his tracks as he caught my eye from the garden room...thought about it for a few seconds...and decided I was ignorable and carried on with his job. I watched him for around 5 minutes of pure pleasure!
4) Going to take the cot bed across to DD1 as the 20 month granddaughter has worked out how to climb out of her cot...much safer to have her in something lower down with less distance to fall.
5) We're widening the back borders in the garden to take more homegrown seedlings. Planted out a dozen fine bean plants last night and have more to go and I'll be planting radish seed this morning along with some Californian Poppy seeds on the uncultivatable bits as they like a poor soil and will bring in the bees to pollinate the crops. Lettuce seedlings ready to transplant out too and now it's warming up we'll get them in to the front of one of the borders.
